The campsites however primitive has some real nice extras, like cafe lights in the trees, near by bath house. A huge plus was bringing an extension cord to access electricity at a nearby cabin outlet. Also a great variety of livestock to watch for entertainment.

Weekend Trip to J and P Creekside Retreat

We really enjoyed our campsite! John was an excellent host -- checking in with us but also letting us do our own thing. We brought paddle boards and spent the entire day paddling Shell Creek and taking in the beauty of nature. The campsite was huge and very shady. It mentioned being sloped but that was really very, very tiny. We have a 13' Scamp and easily got it leveled. We will definitely return!

This place is absolutely fantastic. The campsites are so well maintained, the scenery is incredible & Paul is the best (make sure you get to hear one of his jokes after you check in). There are beautiful longhorns roaming around the campsites and goats in a pen you can go feed. Oh and the bathrooms? Impeccable. So clean and very nice. Truly cannot recommend this place enough. We will be back!!!

Me and my husband stayed at Creekside A! It was beautiful! Large area on the creek with lots of tables and chairs and an awesome firepit. John’s place is a must see! He has a beautiful area to unwind in the shade at all the sites. The “common” area is so cool. The shower and bathroom area is the perfect set up. You will not be disappointed. Close enough to everything you want to do in the area. Or just sit back and enjoy the camp. I would highly recommend hipcamper’s to check it out 👍🏼👍🏼
