The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. Glenn Farm is a place to come relax and experience a world that is rapidly disappearing. It is not a commercial campground.

The Primitive Orchard area has cold water faucets and compost toilet. Both bath houses are close to all overnight areas. CHECK IN/Check-out time may be flexible depending upon concurrent bookings! We ask that you clear your campsite by 11am, but you are welcome to spend the remainder of the day hanging out with the goats, riding or just relaxing. Check in time is 2pm or later. Unless you are a returning guest please arrive before 7pm. (ALL late arrivals must be approved ahead of time, unless emergency.) All types of pets are welcome, and we’ve created a space where both people and their animals can relax comfortably. Onsite water is available for animals’ basic needs, whether that’s a dog bowl or a horse trough. This is a great place for those looking to unplug. There are no electrical hookups for the RVs, offering a true back-to-basics experience in a quiet farm setting. The open space and paddock give horses room to stretch, and the peaceful surroundings are perfect for walks, outdoor time with your dog, or just enjoying nature. Guests can also rent out multiple sites if they’d like to gather with extended family or friends. It’s an ideal setting to connect and unwind together while still having your own space. At night, sit by the fire and take in the stars. Our location has Class 4 Bortle skies, making it a great spot for stargazing, telescopes, or astrophotography. The farm you’re camping on is one of the last family farms remaining in Columbia County and is named Glenn Farm after DV Glenn who married Hettie Lou Niblack in the 1930’s. Over the last 150 years it has been farmed by some of the county’s oldest families such as the Niblack and Ellis families. When DV Glenn came to Florida from his farm in Cairo, GA he took over the portion of the Niblack farm that was inherited by his wife Hettie Lou. At that time he was running native Florida cattle on over 6000 acres. Unfortunately, In 1951 he was killed in a hunting accident leaving his wife with the farm and 4 children (ages 4-11). In order to survive, Hettie Lou Niblack Glenn was forced to sell 5000 acres at $25 an acre. Holding a bachelors degree from Florida State College for Women, she was able to secure a job at the University of Florida as a secretary and with the money from the land sale she was able to raise her four children. Of the original farm, 600 acres remain intact and the Glenn family is trying to keep the farm as an agricultural operation. Your campsite is 1 of 4 spots (Arrowhead Sink, Dunagan’s Meadow, North Hall Pasture or Magnolia Sink). We also have a 1 bedroom Tiny home that used to be the farm office. Dunagan’s meadow is a pasture behind the old farmhouse (built in 1824), Magnolia sink and The North Hall Pasture are also on the main farm while Arrowhead Sink is on the edge of a hayfield about a mile down a dirt road. The farm's infrastructure is still present today, and we’ve started to uncover it after 20+ years. Purchased in 2023, Our new farm will provide a place to learn about sustainability as we practice being a good steward of the land. The backbone of the farm. We aim to serve the growing interest in ECOtourism & AGRItourism, by educating the public with farm tours. Our stay endured chilly nights, warm days, and a quick downpour - no worries here with the fireplace, A/C and fan, and thick tent. We just spent a few nights at Dunigan’s Meadow, hosted by Judy and her son, Tom — two of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll meet. Their hospitality made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. The property is absolutely beautiful — rolling pastureland with cows, sheep, and three adorable donkeys roaming freely. We loved that they welcomed all three of our dogs with open arms. Judy even let us drive into the pasture so the dogs could chase racquetballs while the cows watched. The cottage itself is small and simple, not luxury by any means — but it’s clean, cozy, and has so much heart. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the little touches — like the vase of fresh sunflowers from Judy’s garden — really made it feel special. This isn’t a polished, modern stay; it’s a real cottage on a working farm, and that’s exactly what we loved about it. We didn’t have to tiptoe around fancy furniture or worry about the dogs. Every morning we stepped outside into misty fields and watched the fog roll over the pasture. There’s even a natural sinkhole filled with water that adds to the peaceful scenery. Dunagun’s Meadow is one of those rare places that resets your spirit — simple, authentic, and deeply grounding. If you love nature, animals, and genuine people, this place will feed your soul.

Weekend Trip to Kokomo Farms
We had an amazing time camping in the tree house! We are “young” empty nesters and this was a great adventure in figuring out what future adventures will look like! Trudy and Greg were so kind and super hospitable! The weather was perfect! We bought the farm fresh eggs and they had an electric griddle to cook em. We sat on the porch while it rained, reading a book with each other, sipping coffee and enjoying the beautiful of the land on the farm. My wife painted a painting in the garden to add to hundreds of others… it was cool to be a part of so many others that have been through. We pet the horses, fed the roosters, played fetch with the dogs. We drove about 15 minutes to Suwannee state park and hiked Balanced Rock Trail. Our time at Kokomo was sacred, and for us a pivotal point into the second half of life! I know it’s a source of income for them, but it felt like they were truly sharing their land and home with us. Such a great time!

This was the best campsite that I've ever been to. The campground is beautiful and secluded. The interior of the tent is super cozy, I slept better there than in my own bed at home! The owners put so much thought and consideration into amenities that make the stay so much nicer. The kitchenette is a super nice addition, with multiple cooking utensils for use with the charcoal grill. Not to mention the owners themselves were super kind and accommodating. I can't wait until I book another trip here in the future!

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and unfortunately we had to cut our trip short due to an emergency back home, but boy were we sad to go. The treehouse is such a fun camping experience and our host, Greg, was so kind. He had farm fresh eggs for us every morning and even let us use some of the garlic from his garden. We woke up to his chickens greeting us every day and got to feed his horses. We were so bummed to have to leave whether it was a day short or not but we will definitely be returning to try one of the other camp houses they have available.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the farm! Melissa was on site to meet us upon arrival and direct us to our campsite. The area is secluded at the back of her property. The amenities were wonderful, including the hot tub! We also thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor shower with hot water. The AC in the camper was perfect for a summertime stay. We will be back!

Kokomo Farms is so freaking wonderful! I was traveling alone and got the retro camper for one and had the most idyllic weekend, enjoying nature, underneath the live oaks. They have been so conscientious in the creation of this place and it shows everywhere. there is so much love and intention in every detail. i cannot wait to stay there again and try their other adorable lodgings :).
