Fairly secluded and peaceful
The location is lovely—fairly secluded and peaceful, with a nice fire pit, table, and chairs for enjoying meals or playing games outdoors. The camper itself is dated and basic but functional, featuring a couch, bed, dorm-size fridge, and a coffee maker. As noted in the listing, there’s no running water inside the camper, but an outdoor sink is conveniently located near the bathrooms.
The bathrooms were very clean, with both hot and cold water for the shower, and just a short walk from the camper (about a minute).
The biggest issue we encountered was the air conditioner. It was not very effective against the July heat and didn’t cool the camper adequately during the day. It finally became comfortable around 3:30 a.m. The unit also appears to need a deep cleaning or possible replacement—mold was visible on the louvers and inside the unit. Because of this, we decided to leave after one night, even though we had booked two.
After a rainstorm, we also noticed ants inside the camper. However, Trisha was very responsive and had already ordered traps and had spray on hand.
One small suggestion: receiving the street number on the mailbox instead of just the GPS coordinates we received would be very helpful. It initially directed us to a neighboring property with its own camper rentals, which caused a bit of confusion.
All in all, this is a quiet, basic getaway with a responsive host. Visiting later in the season when the weather is cooler might make for a more comfortable stay.
