Hey guys! As avid campers and adventure seekers ourselves, we know how important safe (and cost effective) space for a night or two is. That’s why we decided to offer a corner of our own rural paradise - amongst the mature oaks, blooming magnolias and palms. We have just under 7 acres with plenty of yard to share. It’s pretty basic space without a lot of amenities (yet), but we know you’d love it here. A few things you can expect… ~Wherever you decide to set up camp, we will provide a picnic table, trash can and fire pit with wood. ~We are super pet friendly so bring your furry family members and we will ensure they’re safe and comfortable as well. ~There is access to water from the main house. ~ Electricity can be provided depending on how close you set up to the house. Super quiet! ~ Pit potty in a super cute Outhouse. ~ If you stay during the month of March, you will adore our lightening bugs! ~ Tons of mature trees so bring your hammocks. ~ We are on site and available to you when needed. Forgot bug spray or need a band-aid? We got you! Need a board game, yard game or puzzle? We got those too! ~ Want total privacy? That’s ok too! Watch us grow and come back as our offerings grow too. We purchased our property in 2017 and longed for the dream to build a home. Well, we built that home. We are now ready to share our place where we find so much tranquility with others. You can see how the old orange groves worked as we haven't filled in all the furrows yet. The old orange Grove is now home to cattle, horses, goats, ducks, and our little family. Learn more about this land: Bring your RV away from the hustle and bustle of the city to the wide open spaces of the country. The only sounds you'll hear are cows mooing, goats baaing, and horses neighing. Sunsets and the stars are a site to see out here. THE PROPERTY: The owners live on the property with their 2 children and are willing to be helpful in anyway. Children are more than welcome to tag along. Being kid friendly is a plus for us as our kids might be running around enjoying their property. Can't forget dog friendly either. Our dogs love to greet our guests. NEARBY ATTRACTIONS: If beaches are on your agenda, South Causeway and Fort Pierce Inlet State Park are only 25 minutes from the beach! Our favorite place to grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner is Carter's Grocery, which is only 4 minutes from our property. ACTIVITIES: We have chickens that lay eggs and are great for eating so if you'd like some fresh eggs, feel free to go over to their house and grab some. We have a Pavillion with a fire pit that is welcomed to be used. Our dock provides a look out on our pond. Please feed the fish some food if you'd like. Also, take time to fish in our pond and catch some tilapia or blue gill. The kids have a blast fishing as the fish are easy to catch. THE SPACE: The site you'll be staying at is close to the owners house. There are 2 parking spots on asphalt that are available for the campers vehicles or park directly at your site. The ground will be grass that the camper will park on. Please note: we have 2 gates with gate codes that shut automatically. Please be sure each gate closes behind you! We have free roaming cattle and other farm animals outside the camping area. We are always open to recommendations on how we can make your stay even better! We cant wait to share our property with you and hopefully you'll find our place as somewhere you'd love to return!

Relax in the cozy sitting area beneath a canopy of twinkling lights at this spacious, wooded site—less than 10 minutes from the beach! The site sits on approximately 0.2 acres, located on a private lot behind our home, and includes a 16' x 48' asphalt-gravel pad next to full hook-ups. Additional privacy fencing is being installed in January to separate the site from the rest of the property, so it will soon be enclosed on three sides (the driveway to the back of the property is on the fourth). Photos will be updated once the fence is completed. In the meantime, there are plenty of trees on the site which do provide some privacy. Along with plenty of beautiful trees for shade, the site includes its own private sitting area with a fire pit and hammocks, a picnic table, and a storage shed with beach supplies for guest use. There is plenty of room to pull in and park an RV of just about any size. Conveniently located 1.3 miles from a shopping plaza with a Publix, Bealls Outlet, and several restaurants. It’s about 2 minutes from the bridge to the beach and roughly an hour from Orlando attractions. This is a new site/listing, so I will be adding more details as needed. If you have any questions, please ask! Disclaimer: There are train tracks and an airport nearby. While we've grown to love the sound of the train and watching planes fly overhead (including the occasional military jet), we understand it may not be for everyone. There is very little “traffic” during nighttime and early morning hours, but if you are sensitive to noise or require complete silence to sleep, this may not be the optimal site for you.

The best camping near Melbourne with campfires guide

Where to go

River Lakes Conservation Area

Rent a canoe to paddle over the river and through the wetlands. The River Lakes Conservation Area welcomes boaters, hikers, and paddlers, not to mention all kinds of local wildlife. It’s a prime spot to spot storks, cranes, and river otters, so keep your eyes up and out. Campers can check-in to a nearby campground with RV hookups or get even closer to nature at a backcountry campsite.

Up The Space Coast

Head across the Indian River, and you’ll encounter a range of campgrounds that wind up Florida’s Space Coast. North of Melbourne, you can savor a leisurely beach day and spend the night at a Cocoa Beach campsite. Or, take the coast’s alias to heart and pay a visit to Cape Canaveral. All along the water, you’re guaranteed some sun—and a few waves.

Sebastian Inlet State Park

Surf’s up. Once you cross the Indian River, you can alternatively drive south of Melbourne. You’ll quickly reach Sebastian Inlet State Park: a surfer’s paradise. For campers who’d rather keep their feet in the sand, the park is a treasure trove for finding seashells and sea turtles. Due to the park’s location, it stretches along both the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River. Pitch your tent—or park your RV—according to your desired view.

When to go

The Sunshine State upholds its name year-round, so a Melbourne campsite promises warm weather regardless of the season. However, campers may find May to September less-than-ideal for sleeping outside. Summer is peak hurricane season, but even if the winds remain calm, the bugs—and the humidity—make no promises. Plan your getaway for the cooler months, when you’ll bask in a less extreme version of Florida’s trademark sun.
