We are surrounded by countless trails through the forest with the trail heads sitting right on property, two barns for horses, many outdoor stalls and paddocks, wash racks, and an extra large riding arena. There is world class fishing nearby at the St. John's River and we are right near many beautiful springs - which, if you have never spent time in a natural spring you will absolutely want to check that out! It is surrounded by acres of Pine Forest so enjoy the fresh air, listen to the birds, look at the wild life. We have about a dozen of chickens and a few roosters.The property is conveniently located 1 mile away from the Interstate 95, and 1 mile away from US1. 3 min drive to the grocery store( Publix).  Plenty of stuff to do around - fishing, canoeing and swimming- within 10-15 minutes to the River, Beaches and the Ocean; tons of natural preserves, parks and historic places. Tennis court, pickle ball courts and a play ground is across the street. 20-30 min to Daytona Beach or historic St.Augustine. A little over an hour to Orlando with Disney, Universal and other parks, Jacksonville or Cape Canaveral. Whatever your interest is - you can find it around - many of restaurants, wine tasting, fresh food market 7 days a week, NASCAR, Auditorium with performances, water sports, bike week, movie theater, and many more.  We have a water and electricity hook ups for 4 spots. Spaces for the boats are available also. No sewage disposal.There is a dog on the property. Dogs are ok but have to be cleaned after and be on the leash.Please no loud noise after the dark, no drugs or heavy drinking.Our guests love staying with us " We enjoyed our stay at Roxie’s place. Really great location close to the beach and grocery stores and restaurants, yet it is still in a quiet place just off the beaten path. Roxie is a wonderful host who met us upon arrival and departure to make sure all was going well. She even gave us some amazing fresh eggs from her chickens that roam freely on the land. (Be prepared for a lot of rooster crowing EARLY in the mornings). Our campsite was level and had water and electric. It was not too close to the other campers who were there and we had plenty of privacy. Star gazing was awesome! Highly recommend."

We offer youth day camps on various dates, pony rides and a tour of our farm animals for an additional fee. Reservations required in advance due to the other activities we have going on. In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us. Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property. Little by little we have evolved into more of a need to share with the community and help others with the relaxing qualities our farm and animals have to offer, we want to be able to share and better educate with hands on experiences, teach kindness, patience, confidence and help others to be the best they can be. The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

Very Friendly, very close to town and to Deland Airport (Skydive Deland). Very dog friendly and whole area fenced in. very friendly farm animals, with a turkey that loves to be rubbed. Bring ear plugs if you like to sleep in. There are plenty of roosters. The area to park the RV you must back into the spot from off the road but it's easy. And it is very shaded. Would definitely stay here next time I'm in town.

The Tangerine Hidaway Hipcamp Florida is an amazing Hipcamp! It has very good energy, and it's an actual campground in the woods, rather than just someone's backyard. These are new facilities with ongoing new development, and it has an outdoor shower (rainfall showerhead in cobblestones) that is no less than amazing, and the bathroom is very nice and always clean as well. The campsite are fairly private and generally quiet. They have decent cell service for Verizon, I get three bars all the way on the back side of the camp. I truly believe this is the best Hipcamp in all of Florida, and you need to visit this one! The camp hosts are amazing, extremely accommodating, and kind. I flew my sons into Orlando so we could all watch the Artemis II launch together. My oldest son is a musician, but was unable to bring his guitar and tiny amp onto the flight, so he had to leave it at home. We were setting up camp when Sam, one of the Camp Hosts, drove by. We began chatting, and my son mentioned that he was This was amazingly cool! Weeks after my sons flew home, my son is still amazed that Sam would've done that for him, and will not stop talking about it. I highly, highly recommend this Hipcamp!

If you love "old Florida", this is the perfect spot off the beaten path but close to Mt. Dora. Very wooded camp sites with huge old oak trees. Quiet and relaxing. At night, the frogs and crickets will put you to sleep. James was a wonderful host and there if you need anything. It was fun to walk around the Relic Ranch and see all the cool things they have collected. The campground itself is a large loop you can walk around under the trees. The boat ramp and trail are a very short walk to the end of the road just outside the campground. I will definitely be back!

This trip was for my daughters 5th birthday since she's been jealous of my older son getting to do camping with his dad and she hasn't . She loved it! The hosts were so kind and even decorated the camp site for my girls birthday.

Weekend Trip to Tangerine Hideaway

The Tangerine Hidaway Hipcamp Florida is an amazing Hipcamp! It has very good energy, and it's an actual campground in the woods, rather than just someone's backyard. These are new facilities with ongoing new development, and it has an outdoor shower (rainfall showerhead in cobblestones) that is no less than amazing, and the bathroom is very nice and always clean as well. The campsite are fairly private and generally quiet. I truly believe this is the best Hipcamp in all of Florida, and you need to visit this one! The camp hosts are amazing, extremely accommodating, and kind. I flew my sons into Orlando so we could all watch the Artemis II launch together. My oldest son is a musician, but was unable to bring his guitar and tiny amp onto the flight, so he had to leave it at home. We were setting up camp when Sam, one of the Camp Hosts, drove by. We began chatting, and my son mentioned that he was This was amazingly cool! Weeks after my sons flew home, my son is still amazed that Sam would've done that for him, and will not stop talking about it. I highly, highly recommend this Hipcamp!

Weekend Trip to True Trail Farm

Really cool spot not too far off the coast. Kathy and Mike were awesome hosts, super friendly and welcoming! Bathroom was crazy nice for camping. So many animals to hang out with, goats, chicken, a pig, and a great doggo. Make sure to ask about the scavenger hunt they have set up.

Christie’s camp was great! Beautiful level, private grassy spot under mossy oak trees. Quiet location conveniently located to the east of Orlando. Electricity and water available. Might need a long hose. We would absolutely come back again our travels to us this way!

The land was beautiful with lots of trees for shade from the sun. The ground was sandy as you would expect for Florida. there were lots of decent private spots to set up camp. The host were exceptional and welcoming, They made sure I had watever I needed. 10 out of 10, I would definetly recommend.

If youre an animal lover, great place to stay! Our hosts Kathy and Mike were very friendly and let us play with bany goats! It was nice and the farm is well kept.
