This place is absolutely fantastic. The campsites are so well maintained, the scenery is incredible & Paul is the best (make sure you get to hear one of his jokes after you check in). There are beautiful longhorns roaming around the campsites and goats in a pen you can go feed. Oh and the bathrooms? Impeccable. So clean and very nice. Truly cannot recommend this place enough. We will be back!!!

We had an amazing time camping here for my husband's birthday 🎂 waking up to the animals in the morning was our daughters favorite part. Maisie is so lovable and sweet we can't wait to come back.

It was an absolutely amazing experience. We woke up one morning with Texas longhorns and calfs eating grass right outside our tent. The next morning is was horses and a donkey. Not behind a fence or where you had to walk to see them. Roaming right around your camping site. Our board game was interrupted when a group of goats came and joined us at the table and wanted to see what we were doing. The atmosphere was amazing, staff friendly and helpful. Memories unforgettable. We will be back and already have friends asking us where we were at. Just bring extra shoes, cow patties are part of the experience.

Weekend Trip to Wilderness Shores Ranch Campground!

Great place to get outdoors and enjoy a little bit of Gods country, Waking up to the Long Horns in your camp or the goats running around looking for a handout, it is the best possible disconnect from the daily grind! Bass fishing in the endless finger lakes was awesome, not just fishing but a little bit of catching. Horse back riding with Rachel was huge highlight that allowed us to see the entire property, a must do! Paul and his team work hard to provide the best possible experience in a peaceful setting to allow you to get back to the simple basics and enjoy what we take for granted! Take one night and treat yourself to one of the nice restaurants in downtown Lakeland ! Regards, Pat

It is gorgeous. I mean the views are spectacular. Nicest people. Clean, well kept and accommodating. I got to relax. I love how loving the cats are. Grounds are kept nice. No trees where I set up my tent so I was able to enjoy my surroundings views of the sky and the sunset. The horses. I would definitely recommend this place. Everything was perfect. There are so many parks and aces to fish. It is such a nice location. Thank you again and again. Also, the horses were well behaved and they show you the horses. You can give them noses scratches and visit them if you'd like. Carrots, they like carrots and pieces of apple.

Nice place to spend a night camping. Lots of farm animals and open areas to walk around. Cute kitties too. Host was very nice and brought us his equipment to make a fire at night. You can see so many stars at night, beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful! The land and its views are absolutely breathe taking. Our daughter loved watching the riders and their horses gallop by. Everyone, especially the host, were super friendly. It's a close drive to Lithia Springs, we greatly enjoyed spending the weekend there and also highly recommend. We will definitely be back at this Hip camp location!

I stayed at the Shoreline Tent Camping area at Wilderness Shores Ranch in Lakeland, FL for the weekend. The property itself is beautiful—right on the lake with stunning views and surrounded by nature. One of the best parts was the chance to interact with the friendly animals on the ranch, including long-horned cows, goats, and horses. The staff were also very welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. However, there were a few downsides worth noting. Trains pass by very frequently at night—about once an hour—and they’re loud enough to wake you up. On top of that, there’s an active gun range nearby that was really noisy during the day, especially on the weekend. The campsites are quite close together, so there’s not much privacy. It also looked like the sites weren’t cleaned between campers—there was leftover firewood in the pit and some general debris around. Overall, it’s a great place if you’re looking for a rustic, nature-connected experience and don’t mind the noise. Just go in knowing what to expect.

Weekend Trip to Wilderness Shores Ranch Campground!

I was blown away by this operation. The staff were incredibly kind. The animals were so fun to feed. The camping spaces were clean, beautiful, and well managed. You could be in a more rustic, private area or choose a site close to the amenities/other people. It's kind of like a choose your own adventure. The bathrooms were top tier. And the nature was gorgeous. So many different birds in that area!! We felt very safe camping by the water and kayaking the lake. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Tip: you don't actually ride the ATVs by the way - it is actually a UTV and you are given a tour of the property. We read it differently so just tip for you if you are under the impression you will be driving it as we were.
