We opened to the public on Labor Day 2014. Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). Note that GPS can be very mean in our rural area; make sure your turn off Highway 50 is onto paved High Corner Road, which is 2 miles west of I-75 (if GPS tries to turn you down unpaved, dead-end roads, DO NOT LISTEN..you will get stuck!). If you don't have your own RV, you can rent one from Ray Day's RV Rentals (229-515-7008), which is literally around the corner.

Down a hidden gravel drive with wetlands on either side you will find a completely fenced in field surrounded by pine, oak, and swamp maple trees. There are two ponds located on the property both stocked with bass, bluegill, and sunfish. The front pond is home to many natural Florida wildlife and is a great location to bird watch.
Located a few miles from Brooksville and the Suncoast Parkway, this quiet and peaceful setting is just 5 minutes from the parking area and trailhead for the Suncoast Trail and 10 miles from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs, where you can spend the day at the local park or float down the river with the manatees.
Withlacoochee State Park and other natural preserves with trail access and kayaking are only a short distance away, and Dames Cave, Homosassa Springs, and Chasawiska Springs are all within a ~20-minute drive as well. Spending a day at the beach is easy with plenty of options along the Nature Coast. We’re also less than an hour from Tampa and Clearwater and two hours from Orlando.
A perfect weekend get-away for anyone looking to “unplug,” Smokey Acres is also a great stop for those passing through the area. We are a close distance to many racing, livestock, boating and fishing events. We have no problem accommodating whatever you’re towing!

This spot is a little slice of heaven for those who dream of a view of pastures and horses. I would love to one day own a few acres and horse. Spotted Dance gives you a chance to observe from a distance , or if you are curious enough to inquire, John might give you an oppotunity to experiece owning these majestic animals. I got a chace to participate infeeding horses, cleaning stalls, and getting close to these beautiful creatures. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing! The best place to come reset and relax. We took carrots up to the fence and the donkeys and cows just came right to us. The animals are friendly and the people are friendly and beyond accommodating. Cindy let us take her golf cart on a ride around the property. Best place I’ve stayed so far absolutely recommend and we will be back.

We only got to spend a day at Rob & Mikes Ranch and it was amazing! We met them at the gate and they lead us straight to our site and showed us around. Caping site next to us had a whole bunch of kids but we couldn’t even hear! It was so beautiful, we got woken up by the animals in the best way, right at our tent!

The campsite was clean, spacious, and very inviting. It was close enough to the bathrooms for convenience, yet still felt private. The property is well maintained, with open fields for kids to play and a few nice walking trails. The weather was beautiful, which made everything even better.
The farm experience was a highlight. Our kids loved the farm tour, getting to pet the goats, see the horses and donkeys, and learn about them. It made the trip extra special.
We knew ahead of time that the horses and donkeys roam freely during the day, and it was such a neat experience to see that firsthand. The horses visited our campsite both mornings... friendly, curious, and gentle. Our daughters lovedit! Just be sure to keep food put away, as they will come check things out.
Mr. Mike and Mr. Rob were very kind and welcoming. The amenities were thoughtfully set up, with clean bathrooms, hot showers, towels, toiletries, and even a shared space with a microwave, fridge, coffee station, and toys for kids.
Overall, this was a peaceful, fun, and family-friendly getaway. We would absolutely recommend it and look forward to coming back!

The grounds here were absolutely perfect for us. It was beautiful, clean and so well serviced. Rob and Mike are so friendly, helpful and accommodating. The facilities are amazing, the camp sites are private, the space is fun to walk through, the wildlife and farm animals are sweet and amusing. We cannot say enough good things about our stay here. Absolutely fabulous place to camp. Could not find two better hosts on the planet. Waking up to donkeys milling around my campsite was magical, getting to see all of the little goats and the pigs and horses was wonderful. Too sweet trails for the property. Perfect for an evening stroll. Rob and Mike are two incredible gentlemen that literally open their home to you and invite you to share this magical spot. seriously I've never been camping before where the host provides you with towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, they have a little kitchen area set up with a microwave, coffee, sink to wash your dishes, toys for children. (I got myself stuck in some soft sand the day I left and all it took was a simple phone call and within five minutes they popped up and got me out. I will definitely be back.

Rob and Mike were amazing and so welcoming. It was the best of both worlds- a secluded spot with lots of amazing amenities. The pavilion area is adorable and had the nicest touches with coffee, towels for hot showers, a sink for dish cleanup, and more. The land has walking trails and we fell in love with the horses and donkeys- Coco especially won our hearts. We will definitely be back and have been telling all of our friends.

I loved camping at Sandy stars! There was a tent nearby, but I couldn’t hear them. The directions were really clear. The hosts were amazing and super helpful. We rented a kayak from them. You’re far enough back where you have your space and feel safe but yet still secluded. I highly recommend this site! I highly recommend all sites at this location!

I had an incredible experience at Honey Bee Ranch 🐝🌿. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from stress and enjoy nature. Everything was very clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere is super peaceful.
I loved the interaction with the animals and the relaxing vibe of the place. It’s ideal for a visit as a couple, with family, or even solo to recharge your energy. Plus, the setting is beautiful—perfect for taking photos or simply enjoying the scenery.
The staff was very friendly and always willing to help. I would definitely visit again. 100% recommended for anyone looking for something different and special in Florida!

Wow. I really loved it here - to the point I can’t wait to come back! You’re in someone’s back yard, but it doesn’t feel like it - nestled between a border of tall trees, pastures, and cows. It’s very private, has outdoor plumbing with a working toilet and shower, and dog friendly. Samuel and his wife are generous and accommodating and made my stay super easy, comfortable, and safe (which was of high importance as a woman camping alone). There’s ample firewood and area to roam, and you’re not too far from places to eat, shop, or get gas - even though it feels like you could be in the middle of nowhere. Everything is less than 7 minutes away!
A few tips for first timers:
• Make a left onto samuel’s property when you see the brick wall on the right.
• Bring your own toilet paper, soap, wet wipes.
• Take a walk at sunrise!!
