We have about a dozen of chickens and a few roosters.The property is conveniently located 1 mile away from the Interstate 95, and 1 mile away from US1. 3 min drive to the grocery store( Publix).
Plenty of stuff to do around - fishing, canoeing and swimming- within 10-15 minutes to the River, Beaches and the Ocean; tons of natural preserves, parks and historic places. Tennis court, pickle ball courts and a play ground is across the street. 20-30 min to Daytona Beach or historic St.Augustine. A little over an hour to Orlando with Disney, Universal and other parks, Jacksonville or Cape Canaveral. Whatever your interest is - you can find it around - many of restaurants, wine tasting, fresh food market 7 days a week, NASCAR, Auditorium with performances, water sports, bike week, movie theater, and many more.
We have a water and electricity hook ups for 4 spots. Spaces for the boats are available also. No sewage disposal.There is a dog on the property. Dogs are ok but have to be cleaned after and be on the leash.Please no loud noise after the dark, no drugs or heavy drinking.Our guests love staying with us " We enjoyed our stay at Roxie’s place. Really great location close to the beach and grocery stores and restaurants, yet it is still in a quiet place just off the beaten path. Roxie is a wonderful host who met us upon arrival and departure to make sure all was going well. She even gave us some amazing fresh eggs from her chickens that roam freely on the land. (Be prepared for a lot of rooster crowing EARLY in the mornings). Our campsite was level and had water and electric. It was not too close to the other campers who were there and we had plenty of privacy. Star gazing was awesome! Highly recommend."

On-site accommodations range from our 1 and 2-bedroom Villas to the Oak Tree Lodge which sleeps 12 and can serve as a private “resort within a resort.” The resort is also home to a big-rig-friendly RV site with full hookups, including water, sewer, and electricity (30 & 50 amp). Guests can keep connected with free WIFI, and a laundry facility, or keep on the move with a golf cart rental.
For guests staying on the property, as well as visitors and locals, we have The Bistro, our very own restaurant on the property. The Bistro serves lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. COTTAGES
The Grand Oaks Resort boasts 30 modern, yet quaint, equine-inspired cottages (or villas, as we often refer to them). The cottages are nestled under the granddaddy oaks, towards the front of the property, giving easy access to the resort’s amenities (such as the fishing lakes, golf cart rentals, chipping and driving golf range), the main office, The Bistro, and Marion County Road. My wife and I had a terrific few days at Roxie's camp. The hosts were welcoming and available, if needed... the sites were neat and well maintained... and the area was secluded, yet minutes away from stores, find, gas, and I-95... not that you would know it from the quiet and peaceful campsites.

Brian’s property was a great spot for us! He greeted us and lead us to our spot and then we found out his wife Phyllis bakes muffins and cookies so we bought some muffins for breakfast. They were delicious! We had a problem with our RV not starting on the morning we were supposed to leave and Brian was extremely helpful in giving us assistance with finding a mechanic that could help us. Brian even towed our bus to the repair shop with his tractor! We were very grateful and would definitely recommend this property because of its safe location and the wonderful people who own it. Great Hipcamp experience!

I really enjoyed my time camping here. They have a peaceful property with beautiful horses and a nice reservoir that geese and other birds stop at. The stars at night are clear to see. Brian and his wife were very helpful and knowledgeable about everything to do with camping and RV life.

Brian's property has a large beautiful pond that sites #1 & #2 sit alongside. I was in site #2 at the far end of the pond with a fire pit and outdoor chairs with cushions for seating. I had plenty of room to walk around and play with my dogs and not be intruding on other people's space. Brian was very friendly and checked in to make sure everything was going okay. It was extremely peaceful and quiet the two nights I stayed. I would definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed camping on Roxie's land. The site was spacious, flat and spread out from the other two which made for a sense of privacy. It made for nice views and felt remote even though it was right in town and close to our plans. Roxie was a gracious host and the resident roosters were a great wake up call, didn't need to set an alarm. Would stay again for sure!

We and our friends booked both sites and had a great last camping trip of 2024 here. James was a very attentive host, even bringing us more firewood on New Year's Eve. Our dog LOVED the fenced in area. We took the short drive down to the lake to walk out on the dock. We got to see the Sandhill cranes!
