It is a community open to the public that has several walking/biking trails, a beautiful lake for kayaking/fishing, and a small dog park. They also have a restaurant (Lakehouse Kitchen & Bar) that looks out over the water and live entertainment on certain days of the week! If you are looking for a full farm-to-table experience, Buckingham Farms is 20 minutes from us and is a 85-acre farm with fresh produce grown hydroponically! We are also about 20 minutes from 31 Produce/Cracker Shack Cafe which is a local U-Pick farm that has seasonal fruits/vegetables available, as well as a restaurant, farm animals, and "gem mining"! With just a 1 to 2-minute drive, we have two parks, Nalle Grade Park and Pop Ash Creek Preserve, for those who enjoy nature walks, fishing, or birding. There are also a handful of other nature preserves and parks in the local area that are around a 20 to 25-minute drive! We offer 2-3 acres of a choose your own spot camping area. Located within the Picayune Strand State Forest, full of peace and quiet, and plenty of birds. We have a facility building that runs off a generator for running water. With that, we have a washroom, that consists of a large shower, and 2 bathroom stalls. we have then propane heated hot water for a nice hot shower. The sites are very " free range". Nothing that is too designated, so you have a free choice of where to pitch your tent, or park your camper van, or your RV. Come and stay within the Evergaldes in Naples, of SWFL. A special private place like no other. You may have the place all to yourself, or share with others. We have planted a variety of plants and fruit trees; Mangos, Bananas, Plantains, Pomegranate, Figs, Ice Cream Bean Tree, Mulberries, Star Apples, Rose Apples, Soursop, Eggfruit, Peanut Butter Fruit Tree, White Sapote, Black Sapote, Jujubes, Jaboticabas, Lychee, Coconuts, Papaya, Avocado, Starfruit, Noni, Grumichama, Cherimoya, Jackfruit, Longan, Cacao, Sugar Apple, Pond Apples, Guavas, Pineapple Guava, Loquats, Pineapples, June Plum, Strawberry Fruit Tree, Surinam Cherry, Monstera Deliciosa, Prickly Pear Cactus, Lemons, Key Limes, and more - most of which are in our enclosed 2 acres. We are allowing nature to regenerate itself in the grassland area by essentially not touching it / not mowing everything down. We have our trails designed, but all else is up to nature; letting the plant and tree life build itself back. We will be digging ponds and planting plants as well to assist this process. Right now, we have 2 Campsites, all of which are located in the 4 acres of grassland/prairie. There is plenty of wildlife around for you to enjoy out here.
