The space River Rise Cottage is set up to offer a relaxing and enjoyable experience to make lasting memories. The cottage has large windows with outstanding river views and a walk around deck that you can fish from. Should it rain, you can enjoy the sound of the rain on the metal roof. Several feet from the cottage is a screened porch overlooking the scenic river, with plenty of comfortable seating and a daybed... should you want to nap. From this location It's not uncommon to see wildlife. A wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind in the evening bug free. Take a swing on the open porch, sit riverside at either our propane fire pit or have a campfire (firewood provided) which is also along the river nestled in the woods. We encourage guests to use the outdoor seating areas for the ultimate relaxation experience and to find your favorite spot! Bar-B-Q with our easy-to-use propane grill (utensils and grill pans provided). Our fish station makes cleaning your catch a breeze! Also available a full-size fridge located on the screened porch in addition to the mini fridge in the cottage. Guest access Large open deck with ladder access to the floating dock which is perfect for mooring your boat or launching kayaks. Kayaks are available for guest use. Provided are (2) single person (1) fishing single person and (1) two-person tandem kayaks with life vest. We offer a complimentary shuttle service for the 5-mile downstream Aucilla River to the Gulf of Mexico trip. This can be scheduled after your check-in. Use of the kayaks are at your "own risk" with no host liability. We encourage guest to enjoy the common areas porches at back of main house. Camp chairs are provided and can be used at the fire pit and along the riverbank. A public boat ramp is located within 300 yards north of the property and we have ample storage for you boat trailer during your stay. Other things to note: House rules for children staying at the cottage. We gladly accept children with the understanding that all children thirteen and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times outside the cottage due to its proximity over the river and being in a very natural wildlife environment. This is a strict requirement that will be compulsory. This is for the safety of your children while staying at the River Rise Cottage. We are pet friendly but do require that your pets are not left alone in the cottage. We have different size crates available, and these are provided at no extra charge in the event that you should leave the cottage and choose not to take your fur baby with you. There is a $50 non-refundable pet deposit fee for 1 -2 pets. A guest’s animal must not be: Out of control Unhouse broken. Left alone at the listing without prior approval. Allowed into areas that are considered unauthorized to the guest. Allowed in a public space without being harnessed, leashed, or tethered and not under the guest’s control. Please clean up after your pet My wife and I live full time in the main house; however, we respect our guest’s privacy and our interaction is catered to each guests preference. Camp Declan is many things rolled into one. First, it is a private six-acre hardwood forest with 400’ of shoreline on a fresh-water, all-purpose lake. We stayed in cottage, it was very sweet and cozy. The hosts live onsite and were very kind and welcoming to us and our pup. Very dog friendly! We were provided with all the small comforts and amenities you’d find at any fine hotel, plus some sweet personal touches like a fire pit and access to an outdoor shower and fresh eggs from the chickens. We really enjoyed our stay here!

We had a great time at the cabin and our dogs did too! We decided to come out for some star gazing and it was fantastic! We worried about canopy coverage being in the forest but there is enough of a clearing around the house from trees for a wonderful view of the sky and caught a bit of the orionids shower. The light pollution is minimal compared to most the rest of the state unless you go into Kissimmee Prairie National Park, but we really appreciated having the private fenced in space for our 2 dogs. The beds are comfortable, the ac works well and the fans in the bedrooms were very appreciated. Having to walk outside to get to the bathroom helps you feel like your still camping but the bathroom was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed using the firepit to make dinner and loved to disconnect for a while. The DVD collection was great and we would love to camp here again in the future. Thanks Hope!

Only about 10 min away from the Weeki Wachee Springs and the mermaid shows, 5 min away to stores and restaurants, yet - we felt in the country and in the nature. The A-frame experience is one of a kind - watching the fire from the bed was phenomenal! The host was very attentive, responsive and helpful. Free gift of eggs, oil and coffee was a lovely touch. Our stay at the Olde Salt Spring Cabin was everything we were looking for, and we’re so grateful we found it. The cabin was spotless and welcoming, with fresh sheets on the beds and a cozy, homey feel. We loved being able to cook our own meals, and the thoughtful touches — like the collection of DVDs — made it even more enjoyable. Our daughter had the best time exploring the outdoors, and our dogs loved having the freedom to run around the big open space. It was peaceful and family-friendly, but also convenient with a Dollar General just 7 minutes away. We even had perfect cell service, so we felt tucked away in nature without being completely disconnected. Thank you immensely for providing the cabin with everything we could possibly need. It truly felt like the perfect glamping experience, and we’d love to come back again!
