Hi! We are a bright family in a small community, developing our 42 acres in Crestone, Colorado. Our property features a host of cottonwood trees, a seasonal creek, a creative outdoor bath house and a 1.5 acre mini farm in progress. There is a bell tent available with a king. Crestone is a beautiful, remote, high desert wilderness surrounded by classic Colorado (almost) 14-ners with high alpine lakes, rivers, hot springs, rock climbing, mountain biking, and our property borders on the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Crestone is also known for its 30 diverse spiritual centers, incredible star gazing as a official dark sky community, alien sightings, and it's beautiful and unique housing community that focuses on building with reclaimed and natural building methods. Our home, like many of the homes here, is creatively made from recycled materials, using two train cars for the body of the house. The property also hosts a 1200 square foot Dojo, built by the previous owner, a Qi Gong master lineage carrier. We are completely off grid, using solar power, wood heat and some propane when needed. We aren't on sewer or septic, so this is an opportunity for the understanding of composting toilet and humanure systems.
Our goals on the property are to enhance our lives, and those in our community, with everything we do here. Our home and community provides an opportunity to learn about natural living and building methods, composting, the beauty and challenge of living off grid, and ample opportunities to be in nature. New for 2024, The flushable toilet and shower are now operational. The shower house is located in the center of the loop with sites 1,2,3 on the south side of the building. It has an on demand water heater, there is also a a flushable toilet located in the same space. An important note about the toilet, Do Not flush anything other than toilet paper please. DO NOT flush feminine hygiene products, napkins or hand wipes or anything other than toilet paper. These type of things plug and burn up the pump while pumping out the tank. This will cause the toilet to be unusable.

There is access to white water rafting, guided fishing, and fishing lessons. There are at least 5 hot springs within 60 miles of Twin Bridges Campground. Salida is considered the white-water rafting capitol of the US by some and has a whitewater park and surfing wave. Salida area is also home to a ton of hiking (14'ers anyone?) and mountain biking trails. The Royal Gorge is a quick 30 minute drive with restaurants and other fun near Canon City. The Sand Dunes are 90 minutes and Monarch Ski Area is 45, we have some of the best bird watching! Warbling Vireo, Western Wood-peewee, Cassin's Kingbird to name a few.

Camping here at the Rabbit Hole Ranch is primitive and dispersed (no numbered sites) and there 30 acres available for you to use. Just follow the signs to the designated area and pick out a spot you like.
Some spots have fire rings, some don’t. We are working on getting more, but in the meantime you’re welcome to bring your own. Or feel free to dig out a little hole. It works great and is easy to extinguish when you fill it back in and bury it. Please do not bury any trash.
Typically, you will experience a rare kind of solitude and silence that feels…. other-worldly, with incredible sunrises and sunsets filling the enormous skies.
On holidays, however, expect it to be busy.
Our only dog, Boudicca, is a working dog and she is more than happy to help keep you and your pets safe. Please help make her job easier by not leaving any food or trash in or around tents. Her name is Boudicca (BOO duh kuh) and she lost her two besties last year, so she needs extra love and treats!
Please keep your pets on leash or under control until you’re comfortably certain they get along with our dog. And please report any issues promptly.
Quiet time begins at 10:00 pm.

CALLING ALL ADVENTURERS! Ready to glamp? Escape to an off grid tiny cabin with a zip line and 5 acres to yourself. It is time to enjoy some peace and quiet with limited cell phone service and breathtaking views. You will be the ONLY ONE on 5 acres of land to explore. Find yourself adventuring through the gulch on a zip line, relaxing under the beautiful pinon trees, grilling some tasty food, sitting next to a crackling fire or enjoying one of three tree swings. At night, you may find that the views of the night sky are simply unbeatable, you’re in a dark sky zone…don't forget to look up! The sunrise and sunsets are beautiful too! Walk to the top of one of the many peaks for stunning views. Adventure to the highest peak and be surprised with a tree swing!
To make things even better, there are 3 fire pits with campsites to go along with them. Use the cabin which sleeps 2 guests and extra guests can tent camp! The cabin includes a pull out couch (sleeps 2), 2 air mattresses (and a pump), water jug and pump, toilet, off grid shower, cooking pans and utensils, bowls/plates, cups, coffee, propane cook stove and more! Parking for 2-3 cars. HIGH CLEARANCE VEHICLES RECOMMENDED! Otherwise you may not be able to pull into the driveway. Jeep Patriot or similar can make it.
This land is located in the heart of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. At the eastern edge of the San Luis Valley, Sangre de Cristo Ranches are virtually surrounded by the Rockies. This land is literally in the San Isabel National Forest. You will be just minutes away from so many awesome destinations!

The closest towns are Fort Garland, Alamosa, Walsenburg, and San Luis. Fires are welcome in the designated fire rings. If there is a fire ban in place, please follow the law. There are plenty of fallen branches and dead limbs on the property, please feel free to use any remaining cut wood, fallen branches, and dead trees. Please leave any project tools alone and do not make any adjustments to our land/structures. Enjoy nature!

Weekend Trip to Coyote Mountain, Crestone Open Sky
Stunning views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains paired with a remarkably comfortable bed made for a top-tier camping experience. Getting to soak in the clawfoot tub at the outdoor bathhouse was a welcomed treat after a long day of climbing. If you're looking for a peaceful spot near the portal, Lydia’s place fits the bill. Highly recommended. Will book again.

We had an amazing stay at this cozy riverside cabin! The views are incredible, and it's a great spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature.
A couple of tips for future guests: if you're visiting when temperatures are above 90°F, be prepared for the cabin to get pretty warm. There is a fan, but bringing an additional fan will make a big difference. Since you're right on the river, bug spray and some fly tape are also good things to pack.
Those minor things didn't take away from our experience. We'd happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic getaway.

I absolutely loved the school room metal cabin at Paul and Robin's place. They are excellent owners and provide wonderful customer service. The little school room was equipped with everything you would need. It was so beautifully decorated with a wonderful bed, windows with million dollar views of the Sangre De Cristo mountain range, and it was so quiet and restful. There is desk to write on, table and chairs, dresser, and an extra little couch bed. So many wonderful books to read, and a little gift shop that I could not resist of homemade gifts by Robin. There is a little table and chairs outside, and a wonderful toilet and shower right next door to the metal cabin. I cannot wait to come back!

1 night at Mountain Goat Lodge Glamping
Beautiful campsite! We loved waking up on the farm and seeing all the goats and chickens! We really enjoyed the charcuterie and the delicious breakfast basket. We feel so lucky to have stayed the night and we wish we could have stayed longer. Gina and D’Arcy are very attentive hosts!

We had a great night at the Nomad Ranch! Angela’s place is perfect - she was so communicative and helpful with our last minute booking. The cabin is in a great location and you can’t beat the views. Was super clean upon arrival and we so appreciated the cold water Angela left out for us. We also loved the huge open windows and saw so many stars! Would definitely stay again.

Our stay in the panoramic dome was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how beautiful, peaceful, and private the property was. The setting is absolutely stunning - surrounded by nature, quiet, and the perfect place to relax and disconnect but also with options to grill out and access to what the property has to offer - donkeys and pups and horse!
A special thank you to Nat, who was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and made us feel right at home.
The dome itself was comfortable, unique, and offered breathtaking views. Waking up to the scenery and enjoying the tranquility of the area was truly unforgettable. If you're looking for a private getaway where you can unwind and enjoy nature without distractions, this is the place.

Asha’s Retreat was lovely! I was pleasantly surprised how clean it was. My 13yr old and I have terrible allergies - thankfully this home was not even dusty.
We were hesitant about the outhouse, but very surprised how clean and unsmelly it was. Truly!
Cute & quaint - my 2 school age kids, brother and I enjoyed the cabin and outside areas (especially the hammock). The hosts responded quickly to inquiries and were great!

Extremely nice accommodations on a well-kept campground! Paul & his wife are very hospitable and friendly.
We booked the Karma Camper and it was perfect with a very comfy queen bed + our husky loved the AC. ☺️
There are other campsites nearby but they’re well spaced apart - we didn’t hear a thing. We would definitely recommend!

The location was remote and directions made it easy to find. Serene, quiet, quiet, quiet. Outdoor sink/kitchen and picnic table were handy for clean up/bfast. Toilets were clean and shower set up cool but we didn't need to use. Tent was larger than expected, firm bed was cozy w fluffy blankets and string lights were soothing. We will definitely return and recommend. Thank you for helping reset the Cells, Namaste, Amituofo, thank you🙏🏽
