This mountain retreat is nestled within the base of the greenhorn mountain; it is short driving distance to the San Isabel National Forest, and many hiking trails. This family-friendly space offers 4 cots to accommodate 4 individuals and a second tent for extra guests, a cook area to cook and prep meals, and lots of outdoor space to soak up the sun. You will have access to the creek, nearby trails on the Greenhorn or the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Easy access to Medano Pass, Mosca Pass which offers a trail over the Sangre de Cristos to the Great Sand Dunes. Are you looking for a weekend getaway in solitude? Our campsite at Turkey Creek Ranch is the perfect destination for you. With a comfortable sleeping capacity of four, you can enjoy a peaceful and secluded camping experience. You can enjoy cooking for your loved ones in our fully equipped cooking area. At Turkey Creek Ranch, you'll have the entire acreage of trees, openness and creek to yourself. We had a great time on Lenna’s land. The tent is awesome and the cots are comfortable. The outhouse was literally the cleanest I’ve ever been in 😂 They provided plenty of wood, which was a fantastic treat. We were appreciative that the cooler was full of water and there was bug spray and sunscreen on site. These were all nice amenities! There were tons of options for cooking including a gas grill and two burners, as well as pots/pans, silverware, plates and all the standards. There are solar lights all over the camp which provide the best ambiance and ease at night, as well as solar lanterns provided to easily wander around with. The creek was a huge highlight and we went for several soaks and getting our feet wet. Plus it just sounds amazing! And let me tell you about the stars out here!! If you like star gazing and want to teach the kids about constellations, this is the place. I was blown away by the night sky out here! When booking, I didn’t know that we’d be so close to Westcliffe- which is a dark sky area. On that note- this listing says it’s in Rye, but it’s actually Gardner, CO if you are mapping it out. Be prepared that there are 15 miles of gravel road to access this area and the closest place for supplies is 40min out- so come ready. I also wanted to mention that Lenna is communicative and was quick to answer questions. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and would return!

Nice spot, very quiet. Tent was spacious and the wood stove inside was great. Appreciated the gas stove and the cooking gear. Convenient to Mission Wolf, a sanctuary for wolves and wolf hybrids (40 minute drive).

Camping on Lenna’s land was wonderful! The creek is beautiful and the mini waterfalls provided a relaxing ambient sound to fall asleep to. Lenna provided everything, plus more, that could have been expected. The views were terrific and the camp site was such as wonderful spot for our family of 5. 5 stars, would highly recommend.

We had an amazing time at Lenna's camp! We wanted to get away and her property is the place to do it. Lenna was an amazing host and was quick to answer any questions I had. She gave us a pin drop with coordinates that lead us right to the gate of the property. Located in a designated dark sky area, we were able to see more stars than I ever have before! All we had to bring was our drinking water, food and bedding. She has everything there that you could possibly need to make your stay smooth. She even provided firewood! We enjoyed sitting by the creek and even caught a few small Brookies! This was just what we needed and can't wait to stay again.
