Hummingbird Ranch offers campers a serene and private escape, with its vast open spaces and stunning views. Most visitors enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and the chance to explore nature, though some have noted challenges in finding designated camping spots and the distance to amenities like the portable toilet. Despite a few logistical hiccups, the majority of campers leave feeling refreshed and impressed by the beauty of the surroundings. A few reviews highlighted the need for better signage to ease arrival concerns, especially for late-night travelers.

We brought our 35 ft school bus here! The roads were a little bumpy for her, but nothing taking it slow couldn’t fix! We were at Hummingbird Ranch early May and it was BEAUTIFUL, private, and lots of open space to walk around and explore. We got a surprise bit of snow, and the ground got soggy, but after a few hours of sun, it cleared up enough that we were able to get out without a problem. Highly recommend! Thank you, Hummingbird Ranch for a beautiful stay!

Not the best for late arrivals
15 ft pop-up camper
I use camps when I travel for work. So I often come in late and leave early. I know that’s not everyone’s setup. That said, I couldn’t figure out where I was supposed to camp easily. The front sign was destroyed and I was not 100% sure it was the right property. I was restless worrying about whether I was camped legally and I was really wind exposed. I imagine if you camp like a normal person then it’s fine. This review is more for people who do what I do when camping.

The tent camping was absolutely amazing. This was our first family camping trip and the directions to get to the site were perfect and it so quiet, peaceful and beautiful.

Couldn’t locate the portable toilet & it seemed like a far walk from it anyway, depending on where you set up camp. So we didn’t use it…. However, everything else was okay. Host didn’t seem to mind that we came & then left & then came back. (We forgot something at the store, so had to drive to town) We came across this sign called “sweet spot” when we were looking for a spot & it definitely wasn’t a bad area to camp! Very quiet & got to see a dear family. 👌🏼 also, beware of cacti! 🌵
