Camping is allowed on east or west side of pond. No vehicle access to east side of pond. East of the pond area has *firepit, picnic tables and chairs. Camping on either the east or west side of the pond in mowed grassy areas only.
Vehicles are not permitted over the berm, which is access to the east side of pond. Walking access only. Please adhere to this requirement. A small wagon is available to transport camping items. Tents are allowed on either west or east side of pond. Trailers and campers are only allowed on the west side of the pond in the mowed grassy area.
*For the 2025 season fire requirements and permits are followed. If a Fire Ban is in effect, there are no fires, charcoal grills, gas firepits, gas BBW, gas stoves, or smoking. At no time are fireworks or firearms allowed. Please consider other options when on the site. This Fire ban is strictly enforced. Any violators will be asked to leave with no refund.

We provide a convenient propane campfire for safety since our climate is dry and often windy. No candles or open flames please. Limited WIFI available.
There are easy trails on property along the lush stream (the original riverbed of the Middle Saint Vrain Stream), fishing or swimming in the pond (no lifeguard on duty), or challenging trails into Roosevelt National Forest from the property. (Ask Hiker Dot for guidance.) Several National Forest access points, where you can enjoy peaceful walks away from crowds, are a short drive.
New this year Bliss Camp is adding a 12' x 14' Glamping Tent Cabin.
Bliss Canyon is a spur off of breathtaking, picturesque South Saint Vrain Canyon. Stroll on over to the South or Middle for renowned fly fishing. For climbers, there are over 50 climbs in South Saint Vrain Canyon!
Dark Skies:
If you like to watch the stars and meteor showers, Bliss Canyon is blessed with dark skies with little light from the plains. Bring your telescopes and explore the Universe.
Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the five Crown Jewels of the National Park Service, is nearby. The closest trailhead in RMNP is 10 miles, the next trailhead at Wild Basin entrance to the park is 13 miles, and the Beaver Meadows entrance (main entrance) is 36 miles. Rocky Mountain National Park has breathtaking drives, easy strolls with interpretive signs, and 360 miles of trails. (Advance reservation required for entry 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for main park, or 5:00 am to 6:00 pm for Bear Lake corridor.)
Indian Peaks Wilderness also has several nearby access points and trailheads. Ask Dot for details.
The charming town of Lyons is 20 minutes away with coffee shops, restaurants, bars, lots of great live music, and quaint shops. Also, Spirit Hound Distillery received the award for the #1, Best Whiskey in the World in 2022, hmmm, it might be worth a tasting!

Byron and Dot were incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts — you can tell they truly enjoy sharing their space. They made me feel right at home and had some great recommendations for local trails and scenic spots that really made my stay even better. My family and I really enjoyed camping at Dot and Byron's boondocking site. I have a 24 ft. travel trailer which fit nicely in their spot. The area is beautiful to say the least. Dot and Byron were very hospitable and very helpful in many ways to include providing information on the area and helping me get my camper in place. It was quiet and peaceful even with other guests on site. Initially, the proximity of the workshop and permanent trailer was slightly off putting but with all the goodness that feeling faded fast. We had a great time and I felt relaxed there.

Loved the location, nestled in a valley with the gorgeous stream flowing by. Great location to park our travel trailer and enjoy the weekend. Super clean port-a-potty and amazing views. Loved hiking to the balanced rock and enjoyed the peaceful scenery! Picnic table was perfect for meals and the stream-side chairs were amazing for coffee and a book. Dot and Byron were fabulous hosts and met us on the road to help guide us into the spot. Will definitely return!

Madeline's property was so tranquil and just a short drive into town. With views of Pikes Peak and plenty of space to spread out. We discovered we were a bit larger than the recommended RV length, but Madeline and her Mom were so accommodating! The property is peaceful and we could let our dogs off leash, which is a plus. Especially for our furry full-time travelers to stretch their legs. I would highly recommend a stay here!

What a great experience. After this stay, I would count Byron and Dot as friends and not just hosts. We had an issue with our camper and they directed us to West Main Auto where Eric took great care of us. The property is beautiful and pic don't do it justice, but Byron and Dot made the stay a favorite! Highly recommend this stay. We definitely acquired new friends here!

I really enjoyed camping in Bliss Canyon. The property has a beautiful creek running through it that lulled us to sleep and wading pools to keep us cool on a hot summer day. The surrounding high canyon walls were also amazing. Dot & Byron were extremely friendly and gave very helpful tips to maximize our experience in the area. I would definitely book here again!

I had an amazing time staying at this campsite! After the sun went down, we got to use a telescope and learn all about the stars and constellations. It was such a cool experience—peaceful, fun, and really eye-opening.
Camping here isn’t just about enjoying nature, it’s also about connecting with the night sky in a way you don’t usually get to. I left feeling relaxed, inspired, and already looking forward to coming back again.

The site was beautiful. We happened to go there when a storm was rolling through but John stayed up late to wait for the clouds to pass and showed us some really cool things with his telescope. He was very knowledgeable and it was a great experience.
