Not so well suited to AC units or electric heat) Trash, compost, recycling and potable water are available on site. Two blocks away is the CB dump station for sewer and non-potable/potable water except in winter months. A great spot to support evening and late night arrivals to avoid driving all over looking for a dispersed spot during busy times. Worry free! Easy walking distance to the Crested Butte Center for the Arts, Alpenglow (Mondays), Music on the Mountain (Wednesdays), Public House, wedding venues and other music venues, bars and nightlife. 1/2 a block from the Slate River and paddleboarding put-in. 1 block from Rainbow Park and playgrounds, soccer fields, etc. 2 blocks from the public/ski bus. Reliable high speed internet. This is a relatively small, site in town, not a spacious farm/acreage type of site or a campground. Crested Butte has a lot of dispersed camping available so this is ideal for vans and campers with a bathroom who want to camp within town limits and be able to walk everywhere.

This is a small, no-frills family operation. Power at each site with a water spigot available near the main fire pit. No rigs over 30' due to a sharp bend in the driveway. Beautiful, quiet, and convenient to all the best that the White River National Forest has to offer. We'll be back!

We were camping with our trailer. Great site, with river access, fire pit, grill, a true restroom and shower (not an outhouse with a bucket), you feel secluded yet you are close to everything Paonia had to offer. Would camp here again the next time we visit the western slope.

A lovely spot to camp, with trees for shade, a clean indoor bathroom, and good location close to downtown Paonia and Big B's. Amenities include a nice fire ring -- stocked with firewood! -- as well as tables and chairs.

We absolutely loved this quirky little campsite! The tent pitch is spacious, private and very peaceful. The shower house is beautifully decorated and very clean. Lovely hot showers. George was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Excellent place to stay within walking distance to town. Communicative hosts who quickly responded to any questions. Only caveat is that it’s not too far from the sewage treatment plant so we got occasional wafts of unpleasant smells. Didn’t last long but was noticeable. Still, I would stay here again for convenience and supportive hosts.

Weekend Trip to Hoskin’s Place

Rens place was a wonderful stay! We were just a few minutes from mountain biking both days. We were also able to take a short bike ride (less than a mile) downtown for dinner. We couldn’t have asked for a better location! Ren and her family were very welcoming and great hosts. If you have dogs, it’s just a short walk from a path which we really appreciated!
