Located on Mount Hood about an hour from Portland, Zigzag Mountain Farm is home to an organic garden, old homestead, house, yurts, and barn. 50 acres of open meadows and forest, bordering thousands of acres of national forest. The farm is home to an organic garden, campfire circle, picnic area, a city bus with a campers' kitchen, outdoor seating area with BBQ, kids play structure and hiking trails. The cabin on the property was built by the original homesteaders. Britta and Jim purchased the property in 2009. It had been vacant for a number of years. Giant slash piles scattered the land from previous logging. The house and cabin were not livable and needed major renovations. In 2019, we purchased and brought in a city bus and converted it to a campers kitchen. A year-round creek flows through the property and 3 major rivers are nearby. The Zigzag Mountain Lookout Trail leaves from the property. The property was homesteaded in the early 1900's. E. Mountain Drive was the wagon train trail into Portland, known as the Barlow Trail. Zigzag Mountain Farm offers the perfect escape from the city.

The Lil Bit O Heaven Campground is the perfect base camp for your summer adventure! Firewood is available onsite most of the summer. We are a 5 acre property and home surrounded by tall redwood and oak trees. Very green and lots of shade. These are the amenities/facilities you will have free access to: Pool, Pool chairs and umbrellas, Deck area with sunset view, trampolines (kids only), and hammocks. Our check in window is strict: 3-6pm. Only later check in is allowed if discussed previously with host. There is no cooking allowed by or at any of the common areas due to flies and critters. Cooking and eating is only allowed by your sites and not in any common areas: Hammocks, Trampolines, Pool Area, tables, sink, and deck please follow this rule because we want to prevent our shared areas to be fly and bug infested. We are still working on ridding the flies and cleaning. (please try to bring prepackaged food or something easy. If anything you can drive 10 minutes to nearby food and grocery). THERE IS A 2-3 MINUTE HIKE TO THE CAMPSITES 1-5! Poolside campsites are closer to the parking and are bigger. This property is my home that I live in with my 2 kids. It is a rustic and homey vibe, definitely not a hotel. We want you to come knowing what to expect. Our property offers a pool and trampolines for the kids. We have a deck patio area that overlooks an amazing view of the redwood forest. Most of our guests are those that come from foreign countries and they all LOVE the property. I love leaving a great impression of our area. CAMPGROUND GUIDELINES -Pack out your trash. -Rinse feet before using the pool. -No pool toys or floaties. -Always supervise kids. -Don’t sit on chair edges or pool cover box. -Use stumps or your own table for cooking (not ours). -Keep the area clean—no food scraps on the ground. -No dogs in the pool area; leashes and cleanup required. -No eating in rooms or cabin. -Check out at the deck. -No smoking (vapes only, away from common areas). -Propane grills only: no open flames or campfires or charcoal. The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Explore the miles of uninhabited beaches boasting some of the best fossil hunting on the Olympic Peninsula! In addition to the natural wonders of the PRSRV, we offer private, comfortably separated, sites that can accommodate tent campers and some for Vans up to 22ft. Each campsite features its own ~10x10 tent pad, fire pit, parking spot, and amazing views of the Strait! *Be sure to book the sauna package at checkout! **Please note as this property is on a hillside, the road is steep but easily doable. Each site is in a wooded, shaded area with a flat area on the ground to place a single large tent. Each site has its own fire ring and a small wooden table. There is wood on the ground you may use for firewood, and ample twigs etc on the ground for kindling (do not cut any trees or branches off trees). There is a covered firewood shed with dry firewood as well. There are maintained trails with river access for kayaks. There are 2 porta potties near the campsites with a handwashing station, that is open year round. There is a single bathroom with flush toilet and sink with running water that is a short walk away (open May-Oct depending on weather) There is an outdoor on-demand hot-water shower at bathroom, with a water hose available as well. On-demand hot water heaters provide hotter water at a low water pressure, and cooler water at full blast. We do provide a large trash bin near the porta potties for trash disposal. DO NOT throw trash into fire pits or burn barrels in the woods. Campsites are a short walk (100-200 feet) away from parking area (you CANNOT drive directly to or park at your campsite). Foster Park is a short bike ride away where you will find greenway trails that run throughout Fort Wayne (ride your bike to downtown!!) Our property backs up to the St Mary's River, bring you kayaks and fishing poles! (We reserve the right to assign you to a different (but equally beautiful) campsite in the case of property maintenance concerns, recent rain or weather conditions etc). Great location! So nice to have the fireplace and the stove. Loft bed was incredibly cozy in the redwoods. Great kitchen setup for such a small space too--everything we could have wanted--just remember to bring layers for the fog!

This was the perfect little close to home getaway for the 4th of July weekend with our 2 kiddos! The tiny home is right next to the owner’s home, and the property is huge. It’s great for either a family with young kids or a couple.

2 nights at Yosemite Westlake Camp

Small cabin that's close to an hour away from Yosemite. The location is at an altitude and is great if you're into stargazing. The cabin itself is quite small, maybe about 15ft x 20ft. Something to note is that the sleeping accommodations are on the upper floor which are only accessible by a ladder. One complain I have is that the place had an odour that was strong and not pleasant. But otherwise the place is well stocked with all the necessities and creature comforts. The host, Mac, is quite welcoming and is also accommodated nearby if you need anything.

Our family had an excellent tiny cabin stay! The cabin was cozy, clean, and very comfortable. The mattresses were surprisingly comfy, making for a great night's sleep for mom and kids. The shower was solid, even with lower pressure since it uses the well water on property. The dart board was a huge hit with the kids and a fun touch for relaxing at any time of day. Overall, a fantastic little getaway—we would definitely stay here again.

Marla was an amazing host from booking to arriving at location. She helped to upgrade me to the cabin as I wasn’t sure of the weather, then said hello & checked in w me when arriving. The cabin was a comfortable site with more than enough amenities. This was one of the most beautiful campgrounds I’ve ever been to - with wild but nurtured nature surrounding and a short walk to the river. I felt safe being there on my own. Highly recommend!

The tiny home / cabin was just perfect. It was on the property of the host's house, but felt very private. Roomier than I even expected, super comfortable, and well built / insulated as there was a pretty big storm the night we stayed and nothing leaked. Well-maintained and thoughtfully done.

Incredible, family friendly campground. The river is perfect for fishing and also perfect for young children to play in. Gorgeous, serene location with minimal mosquitoes which was a shock! Firewood is very affordable. As in VERY affordable. Porta potty is the cleanest one I have ever used in my life. I plan to go back next year with my crew as my only mistake in booking a campsite at Brooklyn Heights was not staying a few days longer.

Fern Gully is an absolutely accurate description of this woodland escape. Deep in the forest you will find a whimsically painted A-frame. Highly recommended for your journey to self reflection, practicing your bird song recognition, and reprogramming your natural circadian rhythm. There is a lake conveniently located a few miles away to get a break from the heat.

This was a super cool cabin. Lots of attention to detail with the motif for sure. Beautiful area as well. Would stay there again. Had some difficulty with the wifi. I wasn't concerned as much, but the friend i was with figured out how to get it going. Someone not as tech-oriented might have had to call about that. One thing to note about the setup also, is that the area with the main bed is pretty tight. This didn't bother me, but I could picture someone not as flexible taking issue with this.

I needed some time away after a long busy season at work. I spent two nights at The Raven and it was a great time. The cabin had everything I needed aside from food and firewood. There were no other guests on the property so I was able to explore around (maybe for future trips?). Its a beautiful place and the view of Lake Henshaw was breathtaking. I loved my experience and look forward to visiting again!
