Gooney Creek Campground stands out as a unique gem in the breathtaking Shenandoah Valley, thanks to its rich history as a privately owned family business for over 30 years. Unlike larger campgrounds, our quaint and intimate setting fosters a family-oriented atmosphere, making it a favorite among our many repeat campers. Open from April 1st to October 31st, we offer a variety of camping options to suit your needs. Choose from 21 primitive tent sites, most of which are nestled along the serene creek, or opt for one of our 19 sites equipped with water and electric hook-ups. For larger gatherings, our spacious family site accommodates up to 18 people. Each site features a picnic table and fire pit, perfect for enjoying evenings under the stars. Our campground also boasts a newly upgraded bathhouse with hot showers and flush toilets, complimentary Wi-Fi, and firewood available for purchase. As your home base, Gooney Creek Campground provides easy access to a wealth of nearby attractions. Explore the stunning Luray Caverns, take a scenic drive along Skyline Drive, or venture into Shenandoah National Park for hiking and mountain climbing.
