1 night at River Ranch Campgrounds

Host was excellent in helping me choose a campsite I needed. I had a site right next to the creek. Creek was clean and easy access. It was exactly what I needed. I camped at 10c and would recommend either going on a less busy day or in a larger group to rent 10c and 11c together.

Weekend Trip to Gold Wall Ranch & Vineyard

Had a great camping experience here! The hosts were super friendly and checked in with us every day to see if we needed anything—really thoughtful service. The scenery was beautiful and peaceful, perfect for relaxing. There are also some fun places nearby, such as Railtown 1897 State Historic Park and Moaning Caverns Adventure Park, which are great for history buffs and adventure lovers.

4 nights at Yosemite Westlake Camp

We absolutely loved this campsite! We got there super late with a camper van and Mac was still up and helped us park. He gave us a map and told us what trails in Yosemite to hike, what drives to do, when we should leave to avoid traffic etc. WE LOVED MAC :)) he was so helpful and kind and made our stay amazing. The campsite has clean bathrooms and showers and the cutest campsite cat to keep you company. It's about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Yosemite Valley but it is a beautiful drive. Would definitely stay here again, thanks for everything Mac!

Weekend Trip to Gold Wall Ranch & Vineyard

We had a wonderful time here! Cannot wait to come back again! Our hosts Michele and Patrick were awesome! Michele checked in if we needed anything. Patrick took us for an afternoon cruise on his mini railroad that was just super fun! What a memory! The views are spectacular! It was wonderful having hot showers as well! A+++++

Weekend Trip to Cole Ranch

Campsite was beautiful and relaxing, a lot of things was provided incase you just happen to forget something at home. Best part of it all was the host Barry and his wife! Wonderful people definitely give them a 10 of 10 for the everall experience! Thank you Barry we will see you again real soon!

This is such a lovely spot! Close to the river, flat and clean sites, and the toilets and spigot were great. This is my second time coming here and I'll definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Cole Ranch

As seasoned campers, we all loved Barry’s place, but I was also struck by how great this place would be for anyone, especially families, who haven’t really camped much and aren’t sure where to start. The bathrooms are super clean with extras—nice soaps and lotions, and there is a shed of equipment that is first come first serve, with life vests, boogie boards, picnic blankets, play tents, and shade structures. There are kayaks and paddle boards and a canoe, and there’s a communal kitchen with lots of barbecues and cookware and even a coffee maker with good strong coffee—honestly we could have packed a lot less. Also Barry loaned us fishing equipment and taught the youngest in our group how to fish. He also came by with a golf cart on Saturday morning and picked up all the kids so they could milk the baby goats. We had a great time and will come back!

Weekend Trip to Cosumnes River Somerset Camp

Noleens property was amazing! My kids had so much fun in the river playing and catching frogs and tadpoles. It was perfect for swimming for all ages. The camp site was clean (no trash) and very close to the river entrance. Perfect cool down for how hot it was!

3 nights at Camping At Yosemite's Doorstep

Jim delivered a beautiful experience with all the described camp site amenities. The extra touch of little lights on the canopy would have been very nice for the later evenings but I couldn’t figure how to turn on despite asking Jim for instructions.

Super convenient location. Convenience store just a couple minutes down the road. Super helping having cooking supplies, pots, and pans.

3 nights at Diamond Gulch

We absolutely loved it here! Waking up to dozens of cows (and cow babies) next to our campsite was so sweet. There was even a baby donkey born the week we arrived that we got a peak of. Showers are really cool, if you shower at night you look up at the night sky and the water is HOT. Host is lovely. The nature is amazing. Great for birding, too. This will definitely be our Yosemite campground whenever we return.

Lovely camp ground and well maintained! Privacy was nice as well. Falling asleep to cows mooing surprisingly is better than a lullaby.

This campsite was nice! On a bit of a hill which made tenting hard but the amenities are nice and the land is pretty! We did get woken up by cows though very early one of the days haha. Definitely worth it and I had phone service there. A bit far from yosemite compared to some others but it worked for us

Cole Ranch was everything I hoped it would be! Very nice campground with all the things you might need: super nice bathrooms, showers, kitchen, fridge, access to kayaks,canoes,paddle boards, floats, life jackets. This place looks like it’s straight out of a camping magazine, sites sit right on the river bank. This place was very well maintained and the owner such a pleasure. He met us upon check in to show us around and offer some tips. We will most def be back to this place and hopefully be able to stay a little longer. Loved every minute

3 nights at Diamond Gulch

John is a great host, checked in on us daily. There's firewood available, which is great. Not really assigned spaces, so you can pick a spot that suits your needs. Garbage cans, recycling, water and showers were all nearby. It's important to keep the gates shut so the cows don't come into the campsite. We had a great view of the moon & stars and being right in Groveland got us into Yosemite easily. Just to mention CA 120 is quite a curvy road with a large incline. We would definitely stay with John again.

It was also home to a former nun who quit the dominican order to purchase this land for inner city kids to have a chance to ride, swim, hike and fish. We moved here in 2017 and purchased this land with the main goal to raise our large family here, but we have found that good things must be shared! There is NOTHING like being in the wilderness of this area for a good re-centering of the soul! We have found it to be a true blessing for our family, and we hope you can experience this blessing as we share this space with you. We feel certain you will not be disappointed with our beautiful river canyon. Our property is situated right on the middle fork cosumnes river. We have 2 sleeping cabins and several tent sites (can be rented separately). The cabins offer a rustic/minimalist type vibe - bring your own bedding/pillows to sleep on the comfy futon. A table and chairs are provided for the cabins. Tent sites each have a wood table (bring your camp chairs) and a fire pit when the season is open for burning. The swimming is awesome and the stars at night will put you into a state of awe! In the area there are many family owned wineries in the area, most of them offering free tasting! It’s a short drive to Tahoe and the Marshall gold discovery site as well as the historic hangtown Placerville. We are happy to make suggestions for local hiking areas, like the Devil's Slide "Gorge" only a 15 minute drive but like a trip to mini Yosemite. The Caldor Fire was VERY close to our property and a back burn was initiated nearby the cabins (litererally 200' away!). It is still as beautiful as ever but please know there are lots of slash piles. Falling trees and burned up stump holes are also a risk and it is presumed campers will be cautious and use at their own risk. We ask campers to use our property only for land use and river access, NO up or down river access is permitted AT ALL. Please don't hesitate to shoot us a message if you have any questions!

We live on a quiet 10 acre property with trees that provide some shade, and all of our sites are near the horse pastures. You might hear horses nickering and chickens clucking. There is lots of room to walk or run around. A Treehouse is available for kids to play in, a trampoline to jump on, plus we have a 17 foot high swing for kids and adults alike! You can walk the property to observe the horses, or sign up for a special horse, tractor, or welding experience. Come camp in a very quiet and safe horse and farming area. We are near the end of a dead-end road. Our camping sites are somewhat private, some with more shade and others with more mid-day sun. We specialize in "Horse Experiences" tailored to your level of comfort and needs. None of the horse experiences listed on our site require any prior experience with horses. We will make sure you are safe and comfortable while working with the horses. *NOTE: Experiences are not available on Sundays (our sabbath day). We can fit them in on Saturday afternoon/evening for Saturday-night campers, or Monday morning for Sunday-night campers. We have a private bathroom with flush toilet and sink. Summertime brings hot days and (usually) cool nights to our area. It is not uncommon to experience 100 degree days in June, July and August. Most evenings cool down, thanks to the Delta Breeze, to around 60-70 degrees overnight. Wintertime brings cooler daytime temps (50-60 degrees) and colder night temps (30-40 degrees). We are located about 10 minutes from the Galt area, which has a large variety of Fast-food, as well as several nicer restaurants. There is also a Wal-Mart (with groceries) and a nice Supermarket. We are about 6 miles from 2 country stores in Herald and Wilton (with gas station). Sites accommodate up to 6 people, and you can add up to 2 more for an additional fee. If you need more than 8 people, then consider booking 2 or more sites. With horses and the activities we do with them, dogs are not allowed.
