4 nights at Coppercreek Camp

This campground is very well maintained, had lots of amenities and the hosts were kind and attentive. The toilet and shower room was clean, everything worked wonderfully. There is also a seating and relax, a small garden area that is wonderfully inviting and a patio with tables if you want to hang out up there. There was an ice machine and filtered water for drinking. I wholeheartedly recommend camping here.

5 nights at Wild Plumas California

It was a picturesque view staying at the Sugar Pine Campsite. Our family made wonderful memories there and we hope to make this a yearly family tradition. Wonderful camp hosts & owners!

Ive been here several times and its always a great time. So beautiful and peaceful. We will definitely be back!

2 nights at Mimi’s Hideaway

Mimi is a delightful person and the site was lovely… right on a large meadow w/ a view of the lake. We spent hours chatting with her, watching the baby birds in her many birdhouses, and walking around the quiet and peaceful meadow.

3 nights at TURNER BEACH AT LAKE ALMANOR

I wish I could find more awesome places like Turner Beach on Hipcamp. We stayed here with our two Goldendoodles for three nights. We love to go camping and prefer it to be private, secluded, on a body of water, where our dogs can explore and roam off leash. Completely an unreasonable request at a campground. This place has all of that! We have a 26 ft trailer and there was so much room around us at this property. We had our own beach, our own dock, our dogs could run around and jump off the dock, swim around for hours and we were not bothering anybody! This place is perfect if you like your privacy. The nightly sunsets are breathtaking and the mornings are so peaceful. Lynne was fantastic and so responsive. There are Lounge chairs, picnic table, a great fire pit, a very clean Porta-Potty, a lot of Lake toys and oh did I mention complete privacy?! Yes, this property sits off of the road but who cares! It was safe for our dogs due to the fenced off property. When we sat on the dock or down by the lake, we never even noticed the road was there. Sadly, it looks like this place books up quick and there's nothing like it that I have found so far on this platform. This is definitely our go-to place when we come to Lake Almanor.

Great spot close to town/gas etc. Clean lot with lockable gate and shade from the sun. Laundry detergent was provided. Water and plenty of electricity hookups and outlets onsite. Quiet area.

Loved this site! The views are breathtaking, great view of Mt. Lassen and although it’s near the road, it’s still very private. A hidden gem for sure!

3 nights at Genesee Camp

Kristine’s site was exactly the space we wanted. No other campers nearby, the area had lots of pine trees and we still got sun and an opening by the fire pit for star gazing. She has picnic tables, rocking chairs, swing, horseshoe rings, and water for us to use. The entrance doesn’t have a sign so slow down and look for the dirt road as described the instructions. You have the creek available to you from the campsite about 10min walking because the water level is lower this time of year. 10min from Taylorsville town and 30 min from Antelope Lake. Highly recommend.

3 nights at Butterfly Valley Yurt

This is a wonderful location! The land is peaceful and secluded. Great for a dog walk through the forest. I really appreciated the wood stove for the cold mornings and a nice hot shower. Highly recommended.

3 nights at Our Escape

We loved staying on Brian’s land! Our kids loved it so much they didn’t want to leave. Asking us to stay “just one more night.” The set up of the property is very quaint & relaxing. We enjoyed hearing the chickens, turkeys, & sheep nearby. Our favorite was the bonfire pit & it has excellent views for stargazing. The property is very close to Blairsden-Graeagle (our favorite little towns). We would 110% recommend Brian’s Hipcamp & we will be back! Unless we buy our own property because we want to replicate exactly what he has going on 🤣.

Campsite was nice and spacious And well groomed. The people were so nice and friendly. Campground was very quiet at night. It was nice to hear the flowing river at night while falling asleep. It’s a great place to camp right outside of Lassen national Park.

Great spot. Beautiful forest setting with cool campsites. I’m a van camper and the site wasn’t super level but close enough. I enjoyed my stay and I’d definitely go back.

Wonderful stay! We had a very relaxing evening having dinner on the porch and watching the sun set, the lake, and all the birds in their houses. Easy access to all hookups, good directions, and very well maintained accommodation.

Great find! Beautiful, secluded spot close to the Gold Lake Highway scenic route. 30A electric, great outdoor space set up for eating, cooking, sitting and a nice fire pit with wood. Zero water on property so come with full fr a water tank. Host is responsive and helpful. Will definitely come back.

2 nights at Genesee Camp

We really enjoyed the space! It’s hard for us to go camping with my dog because she can be reactive so we chose this for its isolation and it was perfect! Went in mid June and didn’t have the wasp problem at all others mentioned. Saw lots of deer. So nice being close to the creek it was very relaxing in floaties! My dog loved swimming back n forth :) Just bring some water shoes it is very rocky.

I tent camped at site 13 for 3 nights in June and I will definitely return. The campground is well cared for and sites are clearly marked. Loved having flush toilets and shower facilities that cost $1.25 for 7 1/2 minutes which is plenty of time, but you can pay for more time if you’d like. The restrooms were clean, but a bit of a walk from site 13. There are pit toilets that are closer, and smell like…well, pit toilets. They, too, are clean. There is potable water very close. The only drawback of this particular site is that it has the marked trail to Mill Creek right along the side of it, so if you’re looking for a bit of privacy, you might want to pick site 9 or 15. Additionally, a glamping site is right on the other side of the trail. Not a worry if the campers are friendly. The camp hosts are friendly and I was able to have a campfire which was awesome. There’s is also ice available for purchase at the camp lodge. There’s a ton of fishing close and access to the park is superb. Thank you for a wonderful time.
