My dad bought the farm in 1974 and it used to be a working dairy and sheep farm. My dad passed away while cutting our 6 acre oat field on mothers day 2003, our little farm started to break down. We have been working on it to bring it back to life and I hope to have it up and running strong again. Sadly I just lost my mother on Aug 6th and my father Aug 13th. Alot of loss but hopefully i can have a garden soon to offer more options for our guests. Learn more about this land: Our farm is 3miles west of town within 10 miles to Black Butte lake for fishing, boating, hiking, and even disk golf. Right off of I-5 by a Pilot travel center. 4496 county road DD and also shows as Orange grove ave on some GPS maps. Public pool 3miles(1pm-5pm, water arobics Tue and Thur 6-7pm $2, family night Tue and Thur 730-9pm June-Aug) as well as shopping and dining within 3miles. Great sunset and area to roam for a bike ride or walk in the country in our little hick town with only about 8000 population. It is very likely you will hear animals so if your a light sleeper you may want ear plugs. Chickens crow and roam, cows bellow from all sides, and dogs bark and welcome guests. No trespassing signs are for hunters and people that DO NOT have permission to be here. Driveway is rough and we are working on getting it fixed asap so please take your time coming up. There is FIELD roaches you may see soon after we irrigate, they are bigger then the nasty cockroach but harmless. The wind can be rough at times up here on our lil hill so be prepared with extra rope to tie down and secure if your in a tent, also park vehicle to help block from wind and driveway. It does get up into the high 100°s here during the summer so it would be good to have shade or plan to keep cool during the hottest parts of the day. The toilet is a outhouse with solar lights and does not flush, there is shavings to drop when done. Longer stays are best done at sites 4 and 5 further from the driveway. Quick stops just to sleep are best at 1 and 2. Rainy weather only sites 5, 6 and 1 are usable sadly.

The peace, quiet and beauty of nature is the theme at our property. This land is dedicated to the re-sacralization of culture. The spot was an ancient Native American camping area. People have found arrowheads, stone beads and grinding stones on the land. We offer various types of camping sites, as well as a teepee - so please read each listing for specific amenity and location information. We sell firewood on site. The amount and variety of wildlife is astonishing, with bear, deer, turkeys, fox, coyote, bobcat, Eagles, River otter, salmon and steelhead, with a wide variety of songbirds during migration. Easy access from road, close to town, tall oak trees, privacy, creek with salmon within a five minute walk, mountains, wildlife, barn owl nest box. Please note that during late summer, creek does not flow on surface but always has swimming holes where the salmon and steelhead wait for Fall rains to carry them down to the Eel river and eventually to the ocean, until they return as adults to spawn again. Guests love staying here: "Elderberry camp was really great! It was a large site, plenty of space, shade, and parking. Very peaceful and good distance between other sites although we were pretty much the only campers out there. Outhouse was clean and there was drinking water. We spent most of our Saturday in Eel River which was great. The water was perfect for swimming and fishing, our husbands caught some big ones. Stephen was very nice and accommodating, the honey and eggs we asked for were a nice addition too!" Helpful0 Report

Lisa’s Lush Lot

20. Lisa’s Lush Lot

24mi from Stonyford · 2 sites · RVs · Upper Lake, CA
Upper Lake is a sleepy little town surrounded by lakes and wilderness but just a half hour from major freeways. The lot is in town with mature fruit trees, a seasonal creek in back and friendly live-and-let-live neighbors. The water is from a hose connected to city water, and there is a rudimentary composting toilet in the garden shed. I’ll have by on explain it to you. Lot is long enough that 2 parties could camp on either end w/ good privacy. My RV sits there too, in the long driveway w/ plenty more space. Fine to park in driveway or on grass. Nearby Clear Lake is great for boating and fishing, and nearby Blue Lakes are breathtaking and pristine, great for swimming. The town 2 blocks away has a high-end mostly organic restaurant with local bands most nights and weekends, and there is also a moderate priced fabulous brunch place a few blocks away (Judy’s), a coffee shop, and other little shops including grocery with deli. Good place to stop and stock up. There's even a Baskin Robbins a quick drive down the road, and gas and propane fillups. Please text with questions and when you make a reservation so I can get in touch and give a few more tips and tricks! Primal Lands at OZ Family Farm is set in the Rocktree Valley just East of Willits. We are a working family farm about 15 minutes, from the town center. The camp sites are in a private pasture with views of snow capped mountains in the winter and a beautiful moon rising above the tree tops in the summer. There are two streams that the campsites are located next to. one seasonal and one year round. This peaceful valley is home to an extensive amount of wildlife. It hosts both wild pigs and turkeys as well as deer, bobcats, foxes, rabbits and an occasional mountain lion or bear have veen spotted. You should bring your binoculars because the valley is lined with acres upon acres of forests and wooded hills that are home to an incredible variety of birds and tree species. We hope our primal land will help expose people to the diverse flora and fauna around them and help educate them to the need to protect the diversity in people, places and our planet. All of which bring an important piece of the puzzle to the table and hold keys to our past and future. We hope to be able to have the honor of hosting many different groups that can gather here on this land for learning, teaching and cummuning with the nature that flourishes here. If your driving to Fort Bragg you will want to go to Glass Beach on the coast and check out the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens or do a Scavenger Hunt.

This property was owned by the same family since the 1940's and used as a hunting property. The land is home to oak forest, chaparral and riparian wildlife, including deer, boar, fish, salamanders, butterflies, birds and more.  Newly purchased in the Spring of 2019, the lush property is undergoing a subtle makeover.  We are currently working to maintain the wild and natural beauty of the land while creating more access for guests to appreciate and enjoy it.Learn more about this land:Griffin Holler offers riparian habitat along the mile of Adobe Creek, views of Clearlake from the peaks and ridges. Swimming holes along the creek. Terraces of travertine formed from the springs. Wildlife. Peace. No neighbors. The road in requires moderate clearance and 4x4 in winter when roads are wet and can be muddy. In current Covid19 conditions it's possible to avoid contact while on the site but you must pack and gas up appropriately to avoid contact with anyone during your trip.

Questions here on the App might get missed or neglected so text is best (925)681-9168
