Star gazing at its finest on this beautiful two acres with spectacular sunset views along the rolling tree covered hills of Mendocino County. Guests have access to the swimming pool and a private indoor bathroom. We live in the house on the property and guests can choose the area of the fenced in yard for their stay. For privacy as well as for the health and safety of our guests, the two sites must be on opposite sides of the yard if the guests are not part of the same group. You will hear our chickens who live in our barn on the property. There is a communal fire pit for guests use IN SEASON ONLY as this is a very dry area during summer months. Please review the photos carefully to see how the property changes during the summer months. Guests can enjoy the mini disc golf course with 3 disc golf baskets. (Discs are not provided.) Tent, trailer, car campers, welcome! Nearby attractions: Wine tasting in Redwood Valley, Ukiah and Hopland, local breweries in Ukiah and Willits, Lake Mendocino recreation area, Blue Lakes recreation area, bike riding, hiking … Sonoma county is less than an hour away to the south, San Francisco is two hours to the south and the beautiful Mendocino coast and ocean is just an hour away to the west.Sunsets and stargazing! Very convenient place to stop on the southward journey from Northern coast to SF. Large grassed area so plenty of choice where to Set up camp. Really nice fully equipped bathroom . Cassandra is a v . thoughtful host Fabulous Sunsets!!!

No surprises I guess - it looked like the pictures on the website. A dirt pasture with lots of room to spread out. If I could make a recommendation it would be to have better signage from the road and directions to the bathroom provided, I had to poke around looking for it. Being a pool owner myself I wasn't sure whether the pool was well-maintained. Lots of leaves and other debris floating or on the bottom of the pool. Because of that, I wasn't confident that it had the proper water treatment to be safe, i.e. chlorine levels, etc. For the money, I give it a 5 out of 10

I had a very nice time camping in the area behind Cassandra's house. The separate bathroom/shower area was very nice as well as was the pool. There are a number of good restaurants within a short driving distance including a steakhouse/bar within walking distance. Just keep in mind that Cassandra has chickens and roosters (which I do as well), so if you're not an early riser you may want to camp further away from the coop. It was a nice place to stay after a long day in the saddle.

Cassandra’s space is easily accessible off the 101 and feels very private. A nice place. Best of all was her exceptional service. My wife and I were stuck in our camper van near Redwood Valley at 10:30 on a Saturday night after being forced to leave a horrible parking experience. We reached out to Cassandra thru Hipcamp. To our surprise she immediately responded even though she was away from home. She literally saved the day! It turned our entire trip around.

Cassandra was very welcoming. The site is in a lovely and quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed playing disc golf, and the bathroom was such a treat! Easy location off the 101. Loved it!

Cassandra’s campsite was easy to find, close to 101. We loved that there was a private bathroom. Highly recommended when you’re traveling and need to stop over for the night.

Cassandra was was quick to respond when I texted to ask questions and was so sweet when we arrived and made us feel comfortable right away. There were very thoughtful touches, a darling little bunch of flowers with a handwritten little card, fresh picked tomatoes, a cute clean bathroom. I only wish we had been able to stay longer and enjoy the pool!
