Primitive camping

Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.

This particular property has been in the family for four generations now. It was in the past a producing walnut orchard that is now past its prime. The orchard is now home to a couple of horses and few wild turkeys. The property location is great for anyone traveling up or down Interstate 5 as we are located about two miles east of the interstate. The Sacramento River is five miles to the east and the Rolling Hills Casino is not too far away. The city of Chico is about 20 minutes away to the south and Lassen National Park and Shasta Lake are not too far north of the property. The site is perfectly located for numerous day long adventures. Peaceful and convenient

Convenient place to stay a night off of I-5. We booked last minute and Ben was super welcoming and communicative. Friendly horses, peaceful, pretty property.

Corning Oaks was beautiful and private. Loved the space for our son and dog to run and play after a long day on the road. The picnic table under the oak tree with solar lights was the perfect place for us to eat our dinner. Ben was great to communicate with being quick to respond to my questions.

Beautiful spot!

Beautiful piece of land, just off I-5. I loved this spot! Big oak trees and grassy open space, with a picnic table and some solar lights. A gorgeous little kit fox came through camp at dusk….magical encounter! Communication with Ben was fast, informative, and friendly. 100% would stay again.

Works perfectly for an overnight stop near I5. Simple cleared land with a picnic table and some solar lights. Lovely sunset as we settled in for the night and some nice bird songs from the giant oak in the morning.
