Hi, I was confused coming into the spot as the gate wasn't locked which concerned me. The place was nice, mosquitos at night because the river is right there as is traffic. I think it's off a major highway. The info about no picnic table was helpful. I brought a folding table as well as a portapotty in my van. I would love it if there was an actual portapotty on the property. It is pretty and I could hear a horse on the other side of the fence nickering. Never saw the horse just hear him or her a few times. Very sweet. The shade from the trees was great. I was in shade in evening and then moved to shade in the morning which I really appreciated.

Great Spot for a Night

The space is exactly as shown (and described) with the exception of the oak tree. There are many trees but none to park under (which is discouraged). Traffic dies down during the night so it is quiet for sleeping. Easy on/off from I-5 with Love's near the entrance. A nice place for the night. I'd gladly stay again when we're in the area.

The site was a very, very private and beautiful setting next to a very old oak tree. The site had no amenities except a pretty old picnic table. But honestly for the price to be able to just take my little trailer and just pop inside and go to bed and feeling safe because I was on a property that was behind a locked gate., I couldn’t have asked for much more.

Peaceful area. There were three horses roaming when I was there, but they mostly kept to themselves. I can see what others meant about the road noise, but it's intermittent and never bothered me. The Pilot over on I5 has a convenient dump station and propane. Best local option for water is probably the Primo fill machines out front of stores in Corning. (Corning is a nice little town! Solid Mexican food, really nice Ace Hardware.)
No issues with cell service.

This was just a stop over for us for sleep on the way down the 5.
The field was dead/dry and full of stickers. Our dog took 3 steps and stopped, lifting her paws and refusing to move. The pull in is short so if you have anything larger than a small sprinter you will have to block traffic in order to get the gate open to get in. The picnic table is falling apart. Probably better than a truck stop overnight.

Comfortable, Picturesque Stopover

Corning Oaks was a great stopover along the 5. There are services nearby and it is easy and fast to get to. The host communicated well and told us all we needed to know for a smooth arrival. The land is lovely, surrounded by oaks. A picnic table and freshly mowed meadow was provided. The night was fantastically dark and the stars and moon put on a show.

We had a great weekend. The space is nice and flat with plenty of room to navigate. Would definitely come back. Corning is a cute town with plenty of great Mexican food. We enjoyed our stay.

We selected Corning Oaks for a one night stop on our way home. The site is flat and off the road enough to be private. It was quiet at night, it’s a field with trees and lots of birds and there’s a picnic table. It’s easy to get to from I-5 and fuel & services are convenient, I’d stop again.

Great spot out in corning close enough to the highway, makes for a nice spot with shade. Still able to hear traffic so it's not 100% secluded but it's great nonetheless. Would stay again for the price.

This was a convenient stop on our trip down I 5. We loved our evening watching the horses graze and listening to the music of the many birds. It was a pleasure. We had a large private pasture to relax in.
