This is a beautiful, 20-sided shingled cottage set on 2 acres of oak trees, with views of the San Francisco Bay through the trees. The property is gated with off-street parking. This unique guest house offers one bedroom with a queen bed, and a full size sofa bed in the living room. Windows in every room look out into the oaks, where you can see deer, squirrels, hummingbirds, and occasional rabbits. For its location, it feels incredibly private!
The cottage is just 2 miles from charming downtown San Rafael, and just 1 mile to mountain biking, hiking, and picnicking at China Camp State Park. San Rafael is the perfect location for day trips to San Francisco, Mt. Tamalpais, and all of Marin, Sonoma, and Napa counties.

Lulu’s Lanai is a Flamingo-themed outdoor living room and dining area with fun vintage furniture and décor.
The Take- A -Liki- Tiki Shower Shack is a great place to cool off and clean up after a day on the river or exploring tidepools at the coast. There is even a puppy bath station behind it for your furry friends!
The Wack Shack is our outdoor bar and grill, full of fun, colorful lights and signs. There’s plenty of equipment to cook there: appliances, a BBQ, sink, fridge and walk-up bar.
We also have several apple trees, a pear tree, and tons of blackberries when in season to share with our guest. Our Veggie Garden will be available next season to enjoy also. We are constantly improving our property so please stay in the finished designated guest areas only until we open up the coming attractions.
There are plenty of sites and destinations within minutes from our home too! We have Tennis, Pickle Ball, and Basketball Courts around the corner. The Russian River/ Monte Rio public beach is a short walk past the Parks and Recreation Center, and they rent Kayaks and Canoes during the summer months. The Redwood Alliance camp is just a few miles up Bohemian Hwy if you dare to zip line through the redwood canopy forest or Armstrong woods in Guerneville for those that would rather keep their feet on the ground and take a hike
Duncan's Mill is a quaint town (less than 3 miles from us) on your way to Jenner by the Sea which is just about 9 miles to the west of us. You can take a gorgeous coastal drive to Bodega that is only 15 miles away. Historic Fort Ross is another beautiful 20 mile coastal drive. Bike Enthusiast love the back roads out here and the Biggest Attraction Is… Wait for it…. Wineries are everywhere!
During the summer there are several Music Venues close by too. The Rio Nido Roadhouse has outdoor music on the weekends. Rockin the River is every other Thursday in Guerneville. The Monte Rio Variety Show just celebrated it 111th year to a sold-out crowd. Zac Brown, Steve Miller, Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor are just a few Headliners that have been here in the past.
We have a great Lightwave coffee shop across the creek that is a quick 5 minute walk. There are several restaurants along the river as well as a small grocery store, movie theater, and a Homemade Ice Cream Parlor that are all close enough to walk to or drive. Guerneville is a quick 4 mile drive and has a Safeway and many restaurants and quaint shops too.

The cottage was built with the finest materials, including slate roof with copper gutters, bamboo and slate floors, granite counter tops, tumbled marble shower, and maple cabinets. A deck with glass railing encircles the entire house. There is a full kitchen, wireless high speed Internet, and cable. The only other other structure on the property is our main home. The hot tub, which hipcampers are welcome to use upon request, is on the deck of the main house.

The Take- A -Liki- Tiki Shower Shack is a great place to cool off and clean up after a day on the river or exploring tidepools at the coast. There is even a puppy bath station behind it for your furry friends!
The Wack Shack is our outdoor bar and grill, full of fun, colorful lights and signs. There’s plenty of equipment to cook there: appliances, a BBQ, sink, fridge and walk-up bar.

There are plenty of sites and destinations within minutes from our home too! We have Tennis, Pickle Ball, and Basketball Courts around the corner. The Russian River/ Monte Rio public beach is a short walk past the Parks and Recreation Center, and they rent Kayaks and Canoes during the summer months. The Redwood Alliance camp is just a few miles up Bohemian Hwy if you dare to zip line through the redwood canopy forest or Armstrong woods in Guerneville for those that would rather keep their feet on the ground and take a hike
Duncan's Mill is a quaint town (less than 3 miles from us) on your way to Jenner by the Sea which is just about 9 miles to the west of us. You can take a gorgeous coastal drive to Bodega that is only 15 miles away. Historic Fort Ross is another beautiful 20 mile coastal drive. Bike Enthusiast love the back roads out here and the Biggest Attraction Is… Wait for it…. Wineries are everywhere!
During the summer there are several Music Venues close by too. The Rio Nido Roadhouse has outdoor music on the weekends. Rockin the River is every other Thursday in Guerneville. The Monte Rio Variety Show just celebrated it 111th year to a sold-out crowd. Zac Brown, Steve Miller, Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor are just a few Headliners that have been here in the past.
We have a great Lightwave coffee shop across the creek that is a quick 5 minute walk. There are several restaurants along the river as well as a small grocery store, movie theater, and a Homemade Ice Cream Parlor that are all close enough to walk to or drive. Guerneville is a quick 4 mile drive and has a Safeway and many restaurants and quaint shops too.

We loved Tent 01 and the shared spaces at Sana's and William's place. They've set up a really impressive and comfortable site on the side of the mountain where I think most people would not have had the vision they've now created into being. We've stayed at many canvas tents and none have had the touches and details that Fancy Camp has to make you comfortable. The bed and pillows were more comfortable than many hotels; everything was extremely clean and well kept; the bathrooms have actual plumbing; I thought I'd take a short "cold plunge" in the shower while it heated up but it ran hot in seconds; delicious coffee and fresh eggs; waffle towels; string lights everywhere including some in the shape of a heart on one of the trees; cutest linens, cutlery and furniture. We had an amazing bonfire at sunset overlooking the ocean and loved the visits by their dogs and goats. Lots of bugs outside in the warmer months (can't do anything about that!) but we barely had any come into the tent during our stay. Their place is also so easy to get to and very close to all cities so kind of a no brainer! Only tip would be to pack light as they suggest -- we brought some of our usual camping stuff but left 90% of if in the car. The tents are also stair climbs up and down the side of a mountain so it'll be a workout if you bring too much.

We had a wonderful stay at the Blackberry Farm! The campsite is great and has all the facilities that you need. Our hosts' kindness and the many thoughtful details around the site made our stay very special and one of our highlights of our trip. The Redwood Trees and animals on the farm make for a both calming and vibrant environment. The location allows for a variety of hikes within a short drive or to explore the nearby coast towns.

I had an amazing two-night midweek stay here for a solo “adult time-out” trip with just me and my Goldendoodle, Lulu. The views were absolutely incredible and truly did not disappoint. The location felt very private, even though there are a few neighboring Airstreams nearby. Each space is thoughtfully positioned to maximize the views while still giving guests plenty of privacy. It’s clear the owners were very thoughtful and deliberate in how the Airstreams were placed, which I appreciated.
The Airstream (#4) itself was charming, very clean, and well appointed, with that perfect nostalgic feel. The bed was super comfortable, which made it easy to relax and unwind after long walks along the coast. Everything was thoughtfully equipped, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow.
The host was a fantastic host, very attentive and responsive. I even managed to lock myself out of the Airstream at 7 a.m., and he responded right away to help. I also appreciated that check-in is very precise. The entry code is sent right at the 3 p.m. check-in time, which keeps things organized and secure.
The sunsets were unforgettable and easily one of the highlights of the stay, along with the fire pit. It’s also just about 10 minutes to town, which is convenient, although honestly the views were so beautiful I didn’t feel like leaving much.
Overall, it was a peaceful and memorable stay. I can’t wait to return, whether with my husband, a few girlfriends, or for another solo reset.
