The most beautiful, luxurious and well setup dome camp of all time! The setting was so beautiful and tranquil, the amenities were so clean and welcoming! Our crew had the best time star gazing, wine-sipping and snores-making at Aaron’s camp. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Windsor Family Farm

The cabin was cute and cozy, a perfect place for a weekend escape. The homemade hot breakfast (an add on to the booking) was ideal to fuel us on the start of our day. Our toddler loved the French toast and the frittata was yummy. Our son adjusted real quickly to farm life and loved looking at the animals, feeding the sheep and exploring the variety of kid's outdoor toys (multiple playground structures as well as sand pits). He definitely got some imaginative play and comfortable around the many free roaming roosters and two dogs, Duke (very chill like a cool old man minding his own) and Poppy, a sweet and young high energy rescue more interested in chasing the animals than your kids. On the farm there are chicken, roosters, goats, sheep, alpacas, tortoises and rabbits. Kim is a welcoming, laidback, nonchalant host and her daughters cameos were friendly. The farm is a farm with all the smells and dust but the cabins are a intsy bit removed providing a nice combination of relaxing environment for parents and amusement for kids. The shared bathroom is small but practical with cute quirky decoration and it was clean. Small stairs are availble for the kids to wash their hands. The fridge and microwave are outside the house in an outdoor communal space but easy to access. Location is close to a city with many restaurants, so no worries for lunch and dinner choices. Gilroy Gardens is also a short drive away. A place we genuinely enjoyed and plan to return in the future.

Our kids loved the cabin with its huge bean bag, folded sleep cushions and bunk beds! I loved having a full kitchen and fridge versus when we rough it more camping. And two half bathrooms - brilliant.

1 night at Hilltop Vineyard Dome Glamping

This was my first time dome camping and it was really fun! The sky was clear that night and you could see stars from the dome. The host was great, thank you!

1 night at May's Luxury Farmstays

I loved the set up at May’s farmstay glamping at yurt on the top. The view was amazing. The set up inside the tent was so charming. There were plenty of snacks. The bathrooms were very clean and the outside bath tub was cute. There was a fire pit and a bbq. Unfortunately there were a lot of mosquitoes so please be advised to take repellents. The tent said 4 people however I would say 2 adults and 2 children. There is a queen size bed however the couch would not fit two adults comfortably. There is no swimming pool however there may be a pond somewhere close by. Also there is a lot of vehicles noises. In addition to roosters and turkeys etc. overall experience was worthwhile.

Glamping here was nothing short of magical! The domes were very clean and the amenities were in perfect shape and worked great. The shower+flushable toilet in the private bathroom were a nice bonus. Aaron's property was beautiful and he was a very responsive host! We would definitely stay here again <3

4 nights at Dreamy California Coast Airstreams

We stayed for 4 nights in early July and loved it. The trailer is well stocked and the site is really beautiful. The owner was very easy to communicate with if needed. We would love to come back and try one of the 2 trailers closest to the ocean. The view for those two seemed the best. Although our view was also amazing, the wood slat fence was not quite as nice as the very open fencing on the 2 front trailers for an unobstructed ocean view. We loved the fire ring and cooked all our meals outside on the propane grill, pizza oven and over the fire. The site is about 5-10 minutes from downtown Half Moon Bay, so it was easy to get out when we wanted to explore the area. This Airstream was perfect size for our small family of 3 plus our dog. And even though the other 3 sites had guests almost every night we were there, the entire campground is so well set up that it still was very private and quiet. Thanks Mark! We hope to be back at some point :)

Beautiful cabin! Great amenities, esp the kitchen. Fridge was not very cold on highest setting, may need servicing. Full size fridge/freezer. Beds comfortable enough. Serene setting in the trees, only saw one other hiker during our stay. Was a 2-mile hike from the parking lot.

Weekend Trip to Whiskey Hill Barn and Camp

This spot was perfect for our combined Bachelor/ette camping weekend! We had 26 people there and the space was perfect. The barn was stocked with so many great cooking & serving dishes/utensils, so we were able to make a great buffet for every meal. And the indoor bathroom and shower was really nice as an addition to the porta potty for such a big group. There was plenty of space on site for our cars and tents and even an RV. I feel we could've spread out even more! We also hosted an "Olympics" and had plenty of space for volleyball and a huge team relay. There are so many thoughtful details, like great lighting at night, the huge banquet picnic table for family meals, tons of Adirondacks and fire pits for hanging out at, cute decor throughout the barn. As some other commenters mentioned, you can hear the cars on the road nearby, but this really didn't bother us. It wasn't that loud and it was worth the convenience of being so close to the road and to nearby shops (groceries, ice, gas, etc). We loved our stay here and are already hoping to host another event here in the future.

I loved the place! The hosts are very kind and friendly, and there was no interference from them at any time. The kitchen is fully equipped, so you can cook whatever you like. The campfire experience was excellent, and the surroundings are quiet and beautiful. The camp is well-prepared with everything you need, including a heater and lights. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a peaceful camping experience in a clean and relaxing environment.

My stay in the gypsy wagon was relaxing and cool. The temperature outside was hot during the day and cold at night, between the fan with screened window to cool it down and the space heater to warm it up- it stayed very cozy. Comfy sheets and bed, clean public bathrooms, showers and kitchen available. Make sure to bring your own towels. There’s a parking place to charge an electric vehicle. The camp is set up in a very communal way with all tents and glamping surrounding two communal fire pit areas with nice wood aderonback chairs and hammocks to lounge in. Not for the party crowd- perfect for those wanting peace and quiet.

What a wonderful experience!!! The view was incredible, especially for sunrise- would recommend waking up early to see it. The Yurt and site in general was so cozy- it was a comfortable temperature inside the yurt, there was a great picnic table and patio table and chairs to chill at outside. The grill / stove with the cast iron provided a standout cooking experience that really made us feel like we were glamping. The yurt had basically anything you could imagine for cooking, so no need to bring knives, cutting boards, pots, pans, spatulas, etc. you just have to search the drawers to find what you're looking for! 3 things to note about staying here- it's right off the main highway and motorcyclists seem to love driving around at all hours of the night, so would recommend earplugs if you're a light sleeper. We also forgot to bring bugspray and there are mosquitos around, so while they had a mosquito trapper, would highly recommend bringing some bug spray. Luckily they weren't terrible, but were worst in the morning for us. Also, the hose at our site didn't work, so we didn't use the tub because we couldn't figure out how to turn the water from the hose on. There was a bathroom with a good shower, so we were totally fine not using the tub. They also had a well stocked bar & ice machine that was very thoughtful, though we didn't end up using it. There was also a trail on the grounds to get to the main road, which was perfect for hiking straight from the site, no driving needed!!

However, if you plan to have a group larger than 10 people please consider The Secret Gardens in Watsonville, they have private sites for group camping. The campground is located in a serene oak grove area of the property. Its a peaceful getaway with an abundance of bird varieties and occasional wild turkeys passing through. Take a stroll around our 5-acre property and catch a breathtaking sunset from the hillside. We're only 11 minutes away from Mount Madonna State Park and just 10 minutes from a local healthy grocery store and yoga studio. The beautiful Pajaro Dunes coastal area is just a 15-minute drive away, and the Santa Cruz Fairground is only two minutes away. Our location is surrounded by family friendly farms such as Gizdich ranch and nurseries, hence why it's considered the salad bowl of the United States There are plenty of activities to enjoy nearby, including horseback riding at Mount Madonna Stable, Mount Madonna Retreat Center, hiking at Mount Madonna State Park, wine tastings at various wineries with stunning views, kayaking at Elkhorn Slough or any beaches, yoga at Watsonville Yoga or onsite, swimming, scuba diving in Monterey, visiting the Hanoman temple at Mount Madonna retreat center, and attending any events at the Santa Cruz Fairground. The property has 3 stalls for hot showers, 1 hand washing sink, 3 flushable toilettes, 1 communal outdoor kitchen with supplies of cookwares, dishes, mugs, glasses, utensils, pots and pans, coffee mugs, and 1 sink with hot water, 3 fire pits (2 of them is fire burning and 1 of them is propane), camping stoves, 1 gas barbeque and there is an electricity in the communal kitchen area. There are many things to do such as hiking at Land of Medicine Buddha or Forrest of Nisene Mark, Stroll around at Capitola Village, Have coffee and do awesome thrift shopping in downtown Aptos or in Soquel, Get some free foods from Free Food church on Wednesday evening (Yes, locally grown organic produce!), have a picnic on the cliff to watch the sunset, this town kind of remind you what's like to be in town without big boxes and franchise stores everywhere, life as its finest. This campground is also a great setting for your celebrations with two stages, a celebration area, a stone fired pizza oven and a sound systems (These are extras). We also have two sites for Private Group Camping for RV and Tent camping if you want to have a separate area away from anyone else. They can accommodate at least 15 people. Please check out those sites if you plan to come in a group. If you bring your dogs or children we have a trail for you to stroll around the property in a natural setting. We purposely do not a lot of pictures to keep this place mystical and a secret gem. We'd like to WOW you when you get here. Each additional vehicle is $15 per day and will be added at checkout once you add the correct number of vehicles you will be bringing. Pets are $10 per day, 1 pet per group ONLY. Please add this as an extra at the time of booking, you will see the option to add extras once you begin the checkout process. Dogs must be on leash at all times! Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. Due to a high risk fire zone, no open fires or cooking available. Due to the proximity of the tents to Vega Rd, sounds from cars can be experienced. For enhanced protection we ask that a waiver be signed. Security cameras are on site. We continually improve/maintain the property and therefore we can be seen outside. The terrain is hilly and staying on paths limits poison oak exposure. Vega Vortex has been called a Park and Machu Picchu due to the amphitheater landscaping of terracing. Practicing permaculture, a diversity of pollinating plants/ flowers, organic garden and art features exist. We are situated in a rural setting, with sounds of sheep, goats, chickens, wild turkeys and many birds nestled between both counties. We are a 5 acre property and home surrounded by tall redwood and oak trees. Very green and lots of shade. These are the amenities/facilities you will have free access to: Pool, Pool chairs and umbrellas, Deck area with sunset view, Trampolines, and hammocks. There is not cooking allowed by or at any of the common areas, due to flies and critters. Cooking and eating is only allowed by your sites and not in any common areas: Hammocks, Trampolines, Pool Area, tables, sink, and deck please follow this rule because we want to prevent our shared areas to be fly and bug infested. We are still working on ridding the flies and cleaning. (please try to bring prepackaged food or something easy. If anything you can drive 10 minutes to nearby food and grocery). In the past we let people cook and eat around the pool but now our whole property is fly infested and I find scattered leftovers on the ground. Thanks for understanding. THERE IS A 1-2 MINUTE HIKE TO THE CAMPSITES 1-5! Poolside campsites are closer to the parking and are bigger. CHECK OUT OUR NEW LODGING: This property is my home that I live in with my 2 kids. It is a rustic and homey vibe, definitely not a hotel. We want you to come knowing what to expect. Our property offers a pool, and trampolines for the kids. We have a deck patio area that overlooks an amazing view of the redwood forest. Most of our guests are those that come from foreign countries and they all LOVE the property. I love leaving a great impression of our area. CAMPGROUND GUIDELINES Pack out your trash. Rinse feet before using the pool. No pool toys or floaties. Always supervise kids. Don’t sit on chair edges or pool cover box. Use stumps or your own table for cooking (not ours). Keep the area clean—no food scraps on the ground. No dogs in the pool area; leashes and cleanup required. No eating in rooms or cabin. Check out on the deck. No smoking (vapes only, away from common areas). There is a fully equipped covered kitchen with stove, fridge, barbecue grill, electric coffee maker, tables and chairs, and more. The kitchen also has a ping pong table. There is also a large geodome furnished as a game room with couches, a lounge area, pool table, foosball table, a stereo, games, and music equipment. There are clean composting toilets, hot showers, a propane fire pit, heaters for the cold, a hammock bungalow, a meditation pagoda, a deck overlooking a creek, and disc golf baskets. With a fair balance of sunlight and shade, we have a garden, kids outdoor play equipment, and lots of open space to spread out and relax. We run a nonprofit nature camp for underprivileged youth, and your stay supports our work.

The Rainbow Junction

The Rainbow Junction offers a unique camping experience at the intersection of Mines Road and HWY 130 in the San Antonio Valley. We operate a restaurant and we offer camping friendly meals for guests. We love the wildness of this property and do not allow cars or vehicles beyond the parking lot. All of our sites are hike in sites. It's about a 1/4 mile hike on a small foot path. We have a wagon available for guests to use and we are happy to help you carry your things. We host a communal fire pit in the evenings, weather permitting, for all guests to enjoy, we do not allow open fires on the property. Cal Fire has requested that all campers get a permit, even to operate a gas stove. The permit is free and takes just a few minutes. https://permit.preventwildfiresca.org/ Please pack your trash, food scraps can be place in our compost but please be prepared to take all other items with you when you leave. Our swimming pond is about a 3/4 mile hike through brush from the restaurant but is a great way to beat the heat during the day! Campsites have a picnic table. A dry toilet is a short walk from campsites and we equip sites with a water dispenser and a sealed container for trash. Water from our well is always available outside of the restaurant and bathrooms with running water are available during business hours. There is a fire trail along one of our ridge lines that offers stunning views of the San Antonio Valley as well as our abundant wildlife. We sometimes host speakers and educational workshops and guests are always welcome to participate in events. Campers, trailers, RVs and Vans are welcome to stay in our lot but we currently do not have hookups available. Have a large group? We are happy to reserve group sites.

Stairs are very steep to loft, with open railing upstairs. Please review pic's before booking. Adults only. The larger main cabin on property, is rented separately. Our cabin is in the Santa Lucia mountains and immersed in nature. Please be aware that wildlife is apart of the rugged Big Sur Coast and mountains. Wildlife encounters are something that is not out of the ordinary. From raccoons, skunks, deer, mountain lions, bats, mice, spiders snakes and all types of birds. We have exceeded measures of to keep occurrances to a minimum and have monthly pest control services. BUT can't guarantee you will not be met with wildlife. ANY ENCOUNTERS DURING YOUR STAY, WILL NOT BE ISSUED A REFUND. If you do not feel comfortable with the paragraph, then please do not book our cabins. Recommendations in Big Sur is Ventana Inn, Post Ranch or something in Carmel or Monterey. 1 Dog allowed, pre-approved by owner and $70fee. No aggressive breeds. Under 50 lbs. If you have a hairy dog, please keep the hair swept and under control. It is not fair for our cleaners to do de-fur the cabin. We allow dogs as a wonderful courtesy and don't want it abused. There is NO cell reception in our area, due to the mountain range. You loose reception once you leave Carmel and head south, or leave Big Sur and travel north to the property. WIFI is available but can be intermittent due to rural location. Text and wifi available, no cell reception, once logged into our internet. INTERNET IS NOT GUARANTEED DURING YOUR STAY. At the beginning of our road, it has a "road closed sign". You CAN get to our cabin. Our road is residential and a dead end. So there is not need to go past our cabin. All hiking and site seeing is along Hwy 1.
