Weekend Trip to Earthbag Tiny House

This place is awesome!! It’s just the right amount of peaceful nature getaway with the essential amenities. I absolutely loved how dog friendly it was, especially the backyard being clear of anything sharp so my dogs could play without me worrying. The shower, grills, sink, and outdoor fire pit worked out great. It is June in the desert so temps were in the 90s/high 80s during the day. It cooled down at night + there is a ceiling fan but I would recommend bringing a little fan for the windows if you’re going on the summer. The house holds heat really well which I am sure is a huge pro in the winter but it can take a while to cool down inside if you go in the summer months. Really wasn’t too hot though, the ceiling fan helps a lot. Everything was VERY clean and Lucas even provided a clean bath towel, kitchen towel, toilet paper, paper towels, and a water jug! I would definitely recommend a vehicle with AWD or 4WD because the driveway is a bit steep and is not paved. Overall I had a great stay and already can’t wait to come back!

1 night at The Happy Camper

We had such a wonderful stay at The Happy Camper! At first, we thought it was just a small RV, but it was cleaner and more organized than most Airbnb homes we’ve stayed at. It was super cozy, and the bed was really comfortable. They provided so many thoughtful extras — complimentary orange juice, pineapple juice, scones, coffee, water, honey, and more! There were even brand-new toothbrushes, soaps, towels, and everything else we could possibly need — everything was so well-prepared. Firewood for campfires and charcoal for grilling were also ready for us at no extra charge, which we really appreciated. We accidentally left something behind, and the host reached out immediately and even offered to ship it back. So kind and thoughtful! We felt truly taken care of and would absolutely love to come back again. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Hideout Mountain Lodge

I'm giving a 10/10. Me and my family enjoyed our spontaneous trip to Hideout. We were extra happy with the view, the outdoor lighting, the A/C unit, the outdoor shower with hot water, and the comfort of the camper.

3 nights at Ramona Wine Country Tiny Cabin

My wife Gigi & I spent three days at Sangria La Wine Country. The camper we stayed in was the perfect mix of cozy charm and thoughtful comfort. It felt private and intimate, just what we were looking for. Inside, everything was clean, well-organized, and had just the right touches to make us feel at home. One of our favorite spots was the outdoor pool—sparkling clean, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. The pagoda area was another highlight. Shaded, breezy, and beautifully designed, it was the perfect spot to just sit and stare out over the valley. There were so many thoughtful amenities—from the string lights and fire pit to the small grill and various areas to sit. Everything invited us to slow down and savor the moment. We really didn’t want to leave to go on a wine tour because we enjoyed the site so much! 1 night at San Diego Canyon Creek

I really enjoyed my time here! The cabin was so cozy, the sound of the creek was nice, and walks around the neighborhood are very pretty. Laura is a very responsive and great host, would highly recommend! Keep in mind that it is in a residential area so there is the sound of cars driving by:-)

Weekend Trip to Fallbrook View Glamping Tent

We had a great, relaxing time. You’re not far from Fallbrook or Temecula if you need supplies or want a meal in town, and there’s a rugged, long trail called Montserrate if you want exercise. We mainly enjoyed the view outside our tent, reading, listening to music and cooking on our camp stove or the fire pit. The tent is roomy (Queen bed with dresser and nightstands) and there are two bathrooms and a shower nearby). Not fancy glamping but perfect for our needs. You will hear birds at night, roosters throughout the day, but not a bother. Maybe bring earplugs if you want to sleep in. Would stay again.

Weekend Trip to Manzanita Ridge

Manzanita Ridge is a nice place to stay. The rv had great creature comforts like a bathroom. It is a 30-45 minute drive from Julian and Lake Cuyamaca. The host was very good at .aking the stay comfortable. My wife and son had a great time and we made some nice memories. First, Id like to share some things that might be helpful for your stay. The rv does come with an FAQ and I think it answers most questions. Doing things again, I would make sure to understand how much water is available and when to request the system be emptied for multiple night stays. As someone who is not familiar, id ask what tank color is what. If you are staying more than a night, I'd recommend asking the host how to know when to ask for the bathroom tank to be emptied, as one of the days we returned, the toilet was clogged. The host was on top of things and I never had an issue where they didn't right it quickly. Another tip, is if the stove isn't lighting after following the steps in the folder FAQ in the rv, the propane tank outside is probably closed. The one challenge my wife wasn't thrilled with was the pictures online don't really display how close you are to neighbors. The location is close to neighbors and you can even see into a neighbor's house if you move far away enough from the rv. The whole family loved the stargazing at night. The Sky explodes with stars, it left us awestruck. There is a lot of dead brush you can find to make a fire and was a huge plus. My family loved our time he

Weekend Trip to Hideout Mountain Lodge

I took my son to San Diego to visit the college he will be attending next fall. We decided to stay in a campground. After researching for a while, we decided on Josie’s Mountain Top Hideout. Great location, amazing views, firm, but comfortable bed and great, peaceful atmosphere. We had a great time.

3 nights at Ramona Wine Country Tiny Cabin

A quaint spot 3 miles or so outside of Ramona. Just tucked away enough you can almost drive by and miss it. The tiny cabins has its charms, not extravagant but has what you need. I would recommend keeping the windows cracked, the airflow is superb, did not feel stuffy once. Mind your head when you go to bed or the ceilings are closer than you think but there’s still plenty of room to stretch out your arms. Nature is an arm reach away, bats eating the bugs at night, mourning doves cooing in the morning, coyotes playfully walk by. Plenty of eateries nearby, from drunken noodles to shrimp burritos it was a pleasant surprise to get such good food. I would come again, I’d like to enjoy the pool more and walk around as well.

Weekend Trip to Namaste Farms

oh my gosh fam, I cannot tell you HOW BEAUTIFULLLLLLY cared for my sister and I felt on this overnight trip we made. it was my 40th birthday, I knew I wanted to spend it on a farm, and everything was magical. MY BOYFRIEND, the pony, was a delight... my sister and I got to feed the 3 1/2 week old lamb, LAMBY... and the coziness and charm of the farm is unmatched. Sean was our point person and he adopted us like family. Can't recommend this experience enough. Thank you so much Namaste Farm. we'll be back :)

2 nights at Earthbag Tiny House

We had an amazing time here. My boyfriend and I are starting to get back into camping and this was the perfect first trip. The house had everything you’d need for a comfortable trip, without losing any of the nature feeling. We loved how secluded it felt- my reactive dog was able to be off leash for a little which is incredible for her! Lucas was extremely responsive and helpful, we greatly appreciated the fresh towels. As a chronic overpacker, here’s what I’m glad I brought: Portable charger Headlamps What I wish I brought: A boyfriend with more PTO Overall, we had an amazing time and were so sad to go. I definitely recommend this spot!

Weekend Trip to The Happy Camper

First and foremost, Davida was very kind and welcoming when I arrived. I felt safe, comfortable, and like I was welcome there. She pointed out a trail through the hills off of her property since I asked about hiking, and I had an enjoyable little walk with nice views of the distant valley. The camper itself feels modern and cozy. The bed is extremely comfortable.

Weekend Trip to Loomerland

We stayed for a weekend and we had so much fun staying at the Warner’s Teepee! Our favorite parts of our stay: the dogs hanging with us (especially Willow), playing with the pig, watching the goats and chickens graze, and the peacocks walking right up to our site and hanging out with us. We loved walking around and having animals walk beside us. Sean and Ty were nice and made us feel welcome. The kitchen and outhouse definitely exceeded our expectations as well. Something to keep in mind when you’re out there, not at fault at all of the hosts, but we did notice a lot of ticks around. Given that we are out in nature, there’s not much to be done with that. But I would recommend not letting the dogs come into the tent no matter how cute they are. We also used Apple Maps getting to the site, and the address led us right to the correct place. (we were worried we were going in the wrong direction at first, but if you’re using Apple Maps you should be good!) Rory also was very knowledgeable and gave us a tour of the cat and bunny sanctuary. We 100% recommend this site for those who enjoy animals.

Weekend Trip to Coastal Vintage Glamping - 2 Sites

Javier & Belinda went above and beyond to accomodate us on a last minute visit to Oceanside. The adorable vintage camper fits the aesthetic of their entire property beautifully. It has it's own entrance and garden with patio and firepit, and feels safe and homey. We enjoyed the 30ish minute walk to the boardwalk, explored town, had a great sushi dinner, and walked it off on the way back. As others noted there is noise from the I-5 freeway in the distance. To us it was like white noise, but I can see that earplugs would help for those sensitive sleepers. We'll definitely keep this place on the top of our list for our next Oceanside visit. It's a very short walk to the neighborhood park- equipped with several types of playground equipment and public creek access, or a five minute drive to a Crestridge Ecological Reserve containing multiple trails. We have three campsites and a cabin on about an acre of land. If you'd like to hang out on the property, we offer a table and chairs with each campsite to lounge in while enjoying the fresh air and nature. There are also a couple of hammocks available. In addition, our SHARED amenities include an outdoor kitchen that includes a sink with hot water, 2 mini fridges,(full at times, extra coolers available) coffee maker, a two burner stove, a griddle, a toaster oven, blender, tea kettle, and a few pans, plates, bowls, cups, and utensils. Also here to SHARE is a Propane fire pit and BBQ area. The bathroom now includes a flush toilet, sink and shower. We are continuously making improvements. Fun Fact: Harbison Canyon was named after John Stewart Harbison - aka the King of the Bee Keepers. He arrived with over one hundred colonies of bees in 1874 and within 7 years he became the world's largest honey producer! Today there are just a few bees in the area.

Access to pool, BBQ (bring utensils you would bring camping, plates, napkins, towels, etc. There is a small sink to wash dishes (pleases only liquid down the drain) but we do not supply dishes, so paper/disposable stuff required if you plan on cooking) The pool, hot tub and outside bathroom is shared with our small family and anyone staying in the Poolside Lounge during the day if people are swimming, so you may meet some new people while staying at our place. The outdoor bathroom will be shared when other guests are at the pool swimming or hanging out and need to use the toilet, but most likely during the evening hours, it will be all yours, we always try to give a heads up if there will be anyone using the bathroom in the evening. The pool is shared, we live on the property across an easement and we have other rentals on the property. There is total privacy at the YOME. Everyone who comes to stay is friendly and chill, no drama here and not a party place, just good vibes :) We have a small farm on our property with chickens and loads of rare tropical fruits and veggies and we love to give tours and share with our guests. There are lot's of wineries in Ramona, about 30 minutes east in the mountains, as well as Julian to explore. Our glamp is great for a weekend destination or just for a rest on your way to another adventure.
