Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers.
Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

If you're wanting a rustic experience that gives you a break from city life and you can handle dust, dirt, cobwebs (and these can happen over night inside your cottage and WILL be in the common areas), with sounds of animals vocalizing at all hours of the day and night, then Namaste Farms is a perfect fit for you. Know, you're supporting a 501c3 charity and all the revenue goes to support the animals.This booking is for the Treehouse, and while it's only 1/2 a mile from the city limits, it has a rural feel and is centrally located to all wineries and most of the major equestrian facilities including Galway Downs, Green Acres, and California Ranch Company. For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. At night, enjoy the sounds of serenity.

Lemons and avocados were the primary crops from the 70’s through the 00’s, and are still prominent throughout our 15 acres. Our predecessors then diversified the growing operation by planting a wide range of fruit trees ranging from guavas and passion fruit to peaches and figs. For a decade, hops were grown on 2 acres and were sold to breweries throughout southern California. Our space is private and just off the beaten path, with plenty of parking.
One of our favorite features of this trailer layout is the door to the kids room, and the double-doors to the master bedroom on the opposite end of the trailer. Bunk room is equipped with dual bunk beds (a total of 4 twins). In addition, the couch folds out and the dinette folds down, revealing two additional full-sized sleeping options. Stocked with everything and the kitchen sink, glamping has never been so easy! Fully outfitted kitchen with dishes, silverware, kitchen utensils, cookware, serving bowls, French press and pour over coffee maker (and filters), linens for kitchen, bathroom, and bedding (please specify # of beds being used). The stovetop, microwave and oven make meals a cinch, though restaurant options abound. Kitchen boasts a large sink and regular faucet to make life easier. Pantry and storage throughout ensure you’ll have room to make yourself at home. Has full slide-out, awning, indoor and outdoor speakers, Bluetooth music setup, tv, dvd (and selection of DVDs), games and cards, small camp bbq (with 2 small propane cannisters), and more.
Our goal is to provide an easy to access location in Orange County for families to relax, play, and adventure. Life’s too short not to start making memories!

This 1968 Shasta Camper, located in a small garden within an urban neighborhood, sleeps up to four people, with additional space to set up tents if desired. It has a few amenities—some more rustic than others—including AC, refrigerator and freezer, stovetop (oven does not work), sinks, shower, internet, and coffee maker.
Located just ten minutes from the Port of Long Beach and the Port of San Pedro, it’s a great launch point for cruise-goers. With swimming beaches only twenty minutes away, it’s an ideal option for a low-cost vacation.
Help yourself to the freshest fruits, vegetables, and legumes from the garden, and watch the bees, butterflies, and grasshoppers happily pollinate, creating opportunities for new growth.
The property is securely locked, and the entrance is video-monitored for your safety (and ours).
It’s important to note that the camper (not a glamper) is vintage, and the convenience of the urban neighborhood can sometimes come with a variety of neighborhood sounds—though it can also be extremely quiet at times.
Due to the desert climate, ants may accompany the pollinators and enter the camper if food or beverages are left out. The garden is shared with our home, so some privacy may be compromised when we tend to it.
Street parking only. Pay attention to posted restriction signs and do not park in business or residential lots. The driveway can be made available at a cost of $10 per night (keep in mind the driveway is located at the front of the property and is a short walk away from the entrance to the camper).
Yard is fenced-in completely but if your pet is an escape artist there are some very small openings to be aware of when letting them off-leash.

Nopalito Farm has been in operation since late 2014, but the property itself has been a working farm for over 50 years. Lemons and avocados were the primary crops from the 70’s through the 00’s, and are still prominent throughout our 15 acres. We reserved both Breakthrough and Bodhi Tree together due to our group size, and it worked out perfectly. The sites were close enough to feel like we were together and have meals together but separated enough to give a little privacy. The tents were spacious and comfortable, and there was enough open space that those who wanted to cowboy camp under the stars had room to do so. Although people usually complain about port-o-potties, the one shared by these two sites was spotless and well stocked with toilet paper.
The camp host was superb. He came back multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed, to give us a description of where we could walk, to lend us items that we forgot to pack. He even offered to guide in a late-arriving guest so they would not get lost in the dark.
The kids loved the campsite dogs who came to protect us and hang out. They, and the neighboring dogs had much to bark about at night, so pack your earplugs. But we did feel safe with them around.
As far as driving, it can be done with a regular car, though on a rainy day I would only want to try it with an all-wheel-drive with some clearance. We had a dry day. The GPS gets close. The host sent us a message to wait at a particular sign so they could guide us to the site, but we missed that sign and drove in ourselves. The last part was a bit confusing. Most of us made it directly, but a couple guests got lost. If you can, read the signs well and contact the host for help.
It was a great stay!

Beautiful spot, well maintained, and great amenities. Kitchen was practically professional grade and really did have everything you could want/need. Lots of hot water in bathrooms (which was great in December). Hilltop yurt was spacious and clean and the tempurpedic mattresses and down comforter were perfect on those cold rainy days. And the fact it was set on a covered platform really protected us from the worst of the wind and rain.

We absolutely loved staying at Campo Napolito. We stayed in the Eureka Casita which is very nice, spacious, and has a lovely minimal interior. The front porch and fire pit out front are amazing. We could have sat out there with our dogs for days. A big star of this property is the kitchen. It is very well equipped with just about anything you could ask for. When we were there, it really felt like a community with everyone gathering in the kitchen and easily sharing the space to cook at the same time. The communal seating areas are also very well done.
Jacob was an incredible host and we had a great time talking with him about his property and would love to visit again.

My partner, Pyro (dog), and myself had a great stay at Jacob's property. We arrived a bit later in the evening due to heavy traffic and it was so nice to get out of the city and just relax. The kitchen area was a great spot to socialize with Jacob and his partner and a couple other guests. The setup is pretty neat and offers privacy from other hip camping guests and has some great views. We stayed in the tent and the beds and bedding were both very comfortable. The nice hot outdoor shower was a bonus to have and Gurtie (farm dog) was also a sweety.

Such a cute, private spot near the city. The canned ham may be small but it is so cozy and full of character. The bed was very comfy, and we appreciated a kettle being provided. We did need to pick up our own mugs, so keep that in mind if you like a warm beverage in the morning. The cooler is convenient, but we wouldn’t advise expecting it to function as a fridge. The space around the camper is very private feeling with trees around it. The hot tub is such a lovely addition and was fun to use.
The whole property is very dreamy. There was plenty of space for eating outdoors. Although the weather for us didn’t permit using the pool, it was so beautiful to look at. The bathroom is just a short walk away, and has awesome decor. We would advise bringing sandals or slides for walking to and from the bathroom and shower. The shower is a fun experience, although it’s important to note it’s quite small (width wise) to enter into the cave area. It’s not feasible for dressing in there, so you will also need to be comfortable walking back in your towel or a robe.
The road to the home is very steep and narrow. Street parking is limited but we didn’t have an issue finding parking every night, even when we came back later.
There are a couple of cats on the property that visited us and were so cute and friendly. We also got to meet Morgan who was very helpful and kind! We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Spent a last minute September weekend here and it was just what we needed. Quiet, peaceful, with a beautiful view. The facilities were well maintained, with hot showers and separate bathrooms. I can't wait to go back!

This was our first tent camping experience as a family. We went for one night in August 2017. It was so beautiful and the view of the ocean from our tent was magical. The facilities were clean and close by. We enjoyed walking along the bluff trail in the evening, and going to the beach during the day. The only negative was that around 11pm, a group pulled into the site next to us and proceeded to celebrate a birthday until 3-4am. We asked them to lower their voices, but I think the sites are so close that it still made it difficult for me to sleep. Next time, if this were to happen, I'd seek out the camp host to help enforce quiet hours.

I really loved camping here! Not only are there amazing views of the ocean, but you have a nice walk down to the beach and there are also great hiking and biking trails for miles around the campground. I would highly recommend staying here, but just make sure you get a camp spot in Dolphin Circle (in the 50s) so that you have a better view of the ocean!

This was a great campground. The stadium layout provide amazing views for each spacious site. The overgrown shrubs gave each site a private feel. Bathrooms were well maintained and the camp hosts were very helpful.
Pros: Beautiful, quiet and a close walk to what felt like a private beach.
Cons: we had plans to ride our bikes since we were car camping but the PCH made access via bike very difficult and not safe while pulling our Burley. There were also lots of ants.

A little hideaway from busy Pacific Coast Highway, so many trails that you can explore in the hills or go to the beach and hang out.
Not many people know about the cute vintage crystal cove beach cottages or the restaurant/bar (The beachcomber) that is hidden below PCH on the sand, but it is definitely worth the sunset views!

Great views of the ocean. You are close to other campers but there are large bushes in between the sites that will hide you from view. Didn't ever feel crowded. Bathrooms were clean and close to all the sites. Short walk to the beach and great spot to view the sunset! Will definitely come back!

Newer campground that sits above Hwy 101 across from the beach. Great views. The entire campground is terraced so you really don't have a bad seat. Beach access with kids and stuff requires driving down to the lower lot and parking down there and walking thru a tunnel to get to the beach. Not a problem, but it's not like you can just stroll down to the beach with whole crew. Clean bathrooms and some good hiking east of the park. Also about a mile from Crystal Cove with a good restaurant, The Shake Shack and some vintage cottages.

Worth the $15 parking fee if you spend the whole day here! And if you go to the Beachcomber Cafe, parking can be waived. Don’t park in the nearby school or Trader Joe’s… returning to a big fat parking ticket probably isn’t worth it.
