To the west is an unobstructed view of the Los Padres National forest, sunsets over the coast ridge from Junipero Serra peak to the north and Rocky Butte to the south. To the east is Williams Hill BLM area, with clear views of the sunrise. To the southeast is Lake San Antonio. Nacimiento Lake is a beautiful 45 minute drive to the south. Although the dirt access road can be a little dusty and bumpy for a sports car, in the 35 years I've been here it has always been accessible for a 2 wheel drive vehicle. The property is at the end of the road. No traffic, no noise, only views of the surrounding area. If you are interested in night skies, the milky way is a constant. After winter rains, everything is green and wild flowers are abundant. Stay and enjoy the vistas or travel relatively short distances for hiking in the Los Padres forest, drive CA HWY 1, visit Paso Robles wineries, boat or fish at Lake San Antonio or Lake Nacimiento. Nearby Williams Hill BLM area for hunting, shooting or ATV riding. For hunters and fisherman, Ft Hunter Liggett is to the immediate west. Occasional weekend's be entertained by military training and occasional aircraft, helicopters and planes. It is so quiet that you can hear vehicles passing several miles away on Jolon Rd in the valley below. Visitors travel to Morro bay, Avila beach to the south or Big Sur and Monterey Bay to the north. Motorcycle enthusiasts can enjoy 100's of miles of uncrowded country roads. Host is an avid motorcyclist and will provide enough helpful guidance for all levels of riding. Corbin saddle in Hollister is a great destination for lunch and a custom made seat by appointment. Getaway to the central coast of California and leave the city behind. San Francisco is a bit over 2 hours to the north and LA about 4 hours to the south. Owner has intimate knowledge of way to many destinations.

We tried a glamping tent first, which was great. We came back and stayed in a walk-in tent site what was amazing! Highly recommended! We will be back again. Sites are private, bathrooms are cleaned regularly, showers are hot. There is a pool and the view is amazing! Duraflame campfires allowed, but no wood.

Gene’s property is so incredible! We loved dipping in the creek and the short walk to the beach which seemed really private, and the communal kitchen and the shower area really stood out to us. The cabana felt private and tucked away which I really enjoyed, there were several other groups around during our stay but it never felt crowded and we had no problems using the listed amenities. I thought I’d be comfortable using the composting toilets but now I know for the future it’s not something that is very easy for me, we ended up visiting the bathroom on the beach a lot so I’m glad that’s an option. The cabana isn’t screened in so we had a lot of insect visitors, definitely something to note if you’re not comfortable with spiders and bugs! The bed was pretty comfortable and there’s a hammock right next to the cabana that was nice to lay in. I was really happy with our stay overall, Gene and his family we’re so sweet and helpful if you have any questions, but generally left us alone and we only saw them a few times during our stay. I’d love to come back another time! It was really romantic, I’d try tent camping next time with a larger group.

I loved my time at Heavenly Views! While our trip wasn't that long (3 days), the overall vibe, views, ambiance, and location were all lovely and really helped contribute to a relaxing but engaging vacation. It's a great location for stargazing, hiking, and just going for walks. The drive from South Bay Area isn't that long or difficult, and we were able to make it there easily even leaving later than anticipated (8pm~). Very dog friendly, and Stephan was an amazing and engaged host who constantly checked in on us, helped with itineraries, and is himself a fun and interesting guy to talk to with a lot of stories to share :)

Let this be your sign to just book the dang thing. The entire property is absolutely gorgeous! Host was kind, the shower and shared kitchen were both super clutch, easy to locate and to get to. One thing to note is the fire pits—they all were taken by families by the time we got back from our day hikes (it is stated clearly that the gazebo doesn’t have a fire pit and the fire pits are communal, however, they weren’t very communal. The ones we saw were located in the camp sites that were occupied by the families in those designated sites). Turned out we didn’t really need a fire bc we were so zonked after all the hiking anyway, but I’m sure we would’ve used it if they were more accessible. Secondly, watch out for poison oak, there were TONS up the trail up towards the gazebo — always bring your headlamp to make sure you don’t brush up against at night! Overall rating 9/10 ✨✨✨

We really enjoyed staying at our site, not too far from bathrooms and fairly secluded. Room was very neat and set up great. Provided heated blanket was a life saver and perfect. Wish we could have stayed longer to explore the whole camp. Restrooms very clean and private.( they were a little tight ) showers had hot water clean floors. Our spot was a little hard to find without help but we managed after a second loop. Overall great time, would like to revisit and stay a few days.

Weekend Trip to Camp Carmel Valley - Glamping

Beautiful area in a secluded part of Carmel Valley, but still close enough to access Carmel by the Sea for dinner/night out. The amenities were perfect for our small group and everything was well kept. The shower was not only aesthetic, but so refreshing after boondocking it for a few days before our stay. The bed was comfortable, and the firepit was exactly what we needed! I felt very safe in the area, as there was a coded gate leading us onto the property. Most reviews say 4WD needed, but we were able to get by with our AWD subaru forester, and there was another smaller toyota sedan who made it through alright as well. Some small bumps and narrow turns, but nothing crazy! I would definitely stay here again!

He recommended we take a trip to the swimming holes in Los Padres National Forest and our family loved it! He knows the area very well and can set you all up! We had a great time in the middle grove canvas tents. Wood-burning fires are not allowed but our specific type tent came with a propane grill and propane fire pit. While the tent was physically close to others, there was a wall between each site which offered privacy. The campus also had cornhole, horseshoes, a basketball court, and a few other options for communal activities. The bathrooms and overall site were clean. I would definitely recommend!

He shared so many hidden gem spots nearby that made exploring the area even more special. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests having a great experience. The space was comfortable, cozy, and had plenty of heating, which made the stay even better. We also loved the fire pit outside, which was perfect for relaxing in the evening. Hands down, we’d come back anytime.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Dabudage. Gene was a fantastic host and the space was amazing to connect and engage with friends outside of typical society. I will do everything I can to come back!
