Our 1 acre has rotating crops behind it throughout the year. Our Rv site sits in the back of our property as seen in the pictures. It has power and water hookups only. The pool and laundry can be used by appointment. Please note, as of now we don't have a bathroom or shower option. Trailers must be self contained.
We have tiny rooster, Little John, 17 hens and a mini schnauzer. Fresh eggs are always available during your stay. We’re 2.5 miles from city limits. Close enough to stores and restaurants but far enough away for a quiet stay. We have lots of local winery’s within 20 minutes, hot air ballooning and an abundance of lakes within a few hours. also have a dog named Sara that loves people. Most campers that come are very happy to have her around. She is polite and good with children. Some of you may not like dogs, if that is the case this will not be a fun experience for you.

The price of camping includes the Ranch experiences of feeding the animals and collecting eggs. Our property is great for children! We have a trampoline, a tree house, a large livestock water trough that we use as a kiddie pool in summer, a great swing set, and room to play.
We live on a quiet 10 acre property with trees that provide some shade, and all of our sites are near the horse pastures. You might hear horses nickering and chickens clucking. There is lots of room to walk or run around. A Treehouse is available for kids to play in, a trampoline to jump on, plus we have a 17 foot high swing for kids and adults alike! You can walk the property to observe the horses, or sign up for a special horse, tractor, or welding experience.
Come camp in a very quiet and safe horse and farming area. We are near the end of a dead-end road. Our camping sites are somewhat private, some with more shade and others with more mid-day sun.
We specialize in "Horse Experiences" tailored to your level of comfort and needs. None of the horse experiences listed on our site require any prior experience with horses. We will make sure you are safe and comfortable while working with the horses.
*NOTE: Experiences are not available on Sundays (our sabbath day). We can fit them in on Saturday afternoon/evening for Saturday-night campers, or Monday morning for Sunday-night campers.
We have a private bathroom with flush toilet and sink.
Summertime brings hot days and (usually) cool nights to our area. It is not uncommon to experience 100 degree days in June, July and August. Most evenings cool down, thanks to the Delta Breeze, to around 60-70 degrees overnight. Wintertime brings cooler daytime temps (50-60 degrees) and colder night temps (30-40 degrees).
We are located about 10 minutes from the Galt area, which has a large variety of Fast-food, as well as several nicer restaurants. There is also a Wal-Mart (with groceries) and a nice Supermarket. We are about 6 miles from 2 country stores in Herald and Wilton (with gas station).
Sites accommodate up to 6 people, and you can add up to 2 more for an additional fee. If you need more than 8 people, then consider booking 2 or more sites.
With horses and the activities we do with them, dogs are not allowed.

Clear Lake is about 45 minutes away with all the fishing and water sports you could ask for. Harbin Hot Springs are 15 minutes away and they offer day passes for reasonable rates.
We are located about 20 minutes outside of Middletown. Be aware that half of the road is dirt (and that's better than the asphalt half) all of it is fine for small cars, just take your time. The last 1/2 mile or so is a one lane road, so please be careful of opposing traffic and uneven surfaces. We cannot accommodate vehicles longer than 28’ on these roads. Please do not take County Road 110 from Boggs/Cobb - it is not maintained at all.
We offer California camping at its finest. Fresh air, whispering trees, amazing star fields . . . this can mean the less attractive side of nature as well. We have ticks, rattlesnakes, stinging things, poison oak, uneven trails and surfaces, and a bear on one ridge with mountain cats on the other (no sign of either in the campground). We keep the restroom stocked with Tecnu for the poison oak, but please watch yourselves and especially children. Dogs are welcome, but should be kept on lead and inside at night for their own protection and the comfort of others.
We are fairly hands off in our hosting approach. Unless there's a question or problem, you likely won't see us. But we have people close by and are only a message away.

If you are coming with a group, there is over an acre of flat land which is perfect for any type of tent setup.
At the tent site you’ll have access to a table and chairs, lounge chairs, picnic table, gas BBQ, basketball hoop and balls, rock campfire, kayaks, and a porta potty. A short 3-minute walk away from the tent you’ll find the shore of the Bear River.
Guest access:
The tent site is only accessible by 4-wheel drive vehicles. If you do not have a 4-wheel drive vehicle there is parking for up to four vehicles at the house. The tent site is less than a quarter mile walk downhill from the house.
River access:
If you’d like to visit the river to hang out, swim, or fish you can follow the dirt road next to the tent down to the river (3-minute walk). The riverfront has lounge chairs, a picnic table, and kayak's. The riverbank has small pebbles and rocks so water shoes are highly suggested for comfort when going into the water (recommended but not needed).
Come and enjoy the views of the river, forest, and wildlife!
This is a private tent site with one other listing on the property which is located at the house. You may rarely see other guests during your stay.
Check out is at 12pm. If you or anyone in your party stays past 12:30pm you will be charged for an extra night for your full party.
For guests that come for the day but do not stay the night there is a $25 fee per guest(s).
If your vehicle gets stuck on the property and you need a tow we may be able to accommodate for a $350 tow fee per vehicle.

Great place, Ferry isn't always running, one is completely down, the other has "occasional" staffing issues, the one that got us to Rio Vista was open, so good their. Rabbits everywhere!....little cute ones. The are in the process of "updating", so good job there, lots of nooks and crannies to fish from, can't wait to get back!

Site right on the water! Can’t find that for the price these days. Everyone is so friendly. Older campground with renovations in the works. Will be a gem once updates are complete. NOTE- Campground is hard to find if dependent on any of the online driving directions (Waze/mapquest/ etc). so when getting directions you must click “avoid ferries” box if you are an RV or have a travel trailer, but our Waze/mapquest kept wanting to update with new faster directions as we drove there that constantly led us to the ferry which you can not take with a travel trailer. Suggest getting directions and screenshot them and write down directions prior to leaving on trip otherwise your navigation system will steer you the wrong way.
Make sure you have everything you need since a store is 30 min away.
Plan accordingly with the above and you will have a great time!

This is one of those sites that you don’t want to promote as we can’t wait to return again and don’t want competition for dates! Lol
Peter has set this campsite up so well, with such nice, quality amenities. The area and property is beautiful and private, and the access to Calistoga and other Napa Valley attractions can’t be beat. The skillet was great, even though we didn’t use it and the 30 amp power, city water hookup and outdoor lighting were all so well done with quality components that topped most RV parks we’ve visited. The nicest touch was the outdoor shower and ready-hot water heater! Typically with a 2 night stay we have to forego a shower here and there or drive around to find a dump station to empty our grey tank mid-stay. That wasn’t an issue at all this visit as we only had dish and sink water flowing to our grey tank. The shower has a rain-style shower head and an optional spray wand, and beautiful hot, Calistoga water to enjoy beneath the trees!
Finally, Peter greeted us at the gate when we arrived and made us feel right at home. We really hope to visit again soon!

Such a quiet and serene stay. We were pleasantly surprised that we had the place pretty much to ourselves. We can imagine the weekends being filled with bustling campers and boaters.
Janna was flexible in allowing us to move to a site nestled under a set of beautiful trees as we awaited the RV repair for our air conditioning! The breeze was nice and watching the sunlight dancing on the water was just what we needed to start our getaway trip. We were able to back our van right up to the dock at the Delta! It was so peaceful that we stayed another night!

Campground sits on a slough and water was beautiful.
No major party interruptions and many regulars.
The afternoon breeze was a dream ion a 100 degrees day.
Sites are very close to one another.
I wish there were more grocery re stock options less than 40 minutes out.

Cute spot, my van fit nicely, directions to the site were clear and I had no trouble finding it. I had no interaction with the owner which is perfect for an introvert like me in an overnight spot.
I think the spot is perfect if you are looking for a base for exploring wine country. Water and electric were provided as well as a trash can. I have a 30A RV but I didn’t try to run my AC or anything power hungry so I don’t know whether the circuit is truly 30A as advertised but the extension cord you plug into seemed thin and did have some signs it had been overheated before so I didn’t want to test it. My surge protector/circuit tester said it was good so I used it for lights and fridge. I didn’t bring my hose because I thought their hose would reach my fresh water fill but it was just long enough to get over the fence separating you from the house. I managed to use a workaround to get water into my fresh water fill but do bring a hose, the one provided is just a place to connect yours with the adapter/splitter they have on the end of it.
There are several outdoor seating areas I didn’t use on this hot evening but they are nice enough and shaded. We didn’t hear any animals as some others had complained about, including the rooster which was surprisingly quiet or maybe we are just numb to the sound since we have several of our own. Sunset over the neighbor’s vineyard was spectacular as well. Price was fair and I would stay again.
