Whitewater Cabin is located in Whitewater, CA just 10 miles northwest of Palm Springs, 45 minutes from Joshua Tree and two hours east of Los Angeles. Whitewater is a local secret: a small, hidden town you might just miss, despite being right off the 10 Freeway. Once there, however, you will find the area full of magic.
Sitting on five unexpectedly lush acres and surrounded by BLM land, Whitewater Cabin features an ever running stream that runs right next to the Cabin. This stream, fed by water from the San Gorgonio Mountains, creates a verdant oasis full of hiking trails that begs for exploration. Drive just 6 minutes from the Cabin’s door and you will find yourself in the Whitewater Preserve, a gateway to the San Gorgonio Wilderness Backcountry. Whitewater is the historic Native American Cahuilla Indian village formerly named Wanapiapa (Place of Water).

At Whitewater Cabin, not only will you be able to access our stunning, remote 5 acre property but also the surrounding area. Our property borders BLM (Bureau of Land Management) Land which is open to further walk along the stream and explore.

Whitewater Cabin is in a stunningly remote location. Until recently, it was impossible to obtain any internet access at all. Thanks to Starlink, we now have fast satellite internet on site. Please note that it is normal for the system to drop out for periods of 30 seconds up to 2 minutes at a time since this is early stage technology.
STRONG WINDS
The winds in the desert are very strong between February and June which may limit your enjoyment of the outdoor amenities. We do all we can to navigate around the winds but cannot control the impact it may have on your stay.
POWER OUTAGES
The power is cut off for 8-12 hours at least twice a year by the electrical company in order for maintenance to be done (for instance in preparation for the fire seasons). We inform our guests of outages as soon as we are made aware but cannot control the time or manner in which this may impact your stay.
REFUNDS
Should any inconveniences such as those listed above or anything else beyond our control affect your stay, we will not provide refunds. Please understand certain things simply come with the windy, rural, desert location. Thank for understanding!
PETS
There is a one time, non-refundable pet fee of $80 per pet and no more than 2 dogs are allowed. We kindly request that any pets accompanying your reservation be specified under the "Extras" section. Failure to include this information will result in the pet fee being deducted from your deposit. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
REQUIREMENTS
Upon booking, you will receive a link with a request to sign and agree to our house rules, verify your identity, pay our refundable security deposit, and schedule a phone call with our manager. We purchased Namaste Farms in 1997 when I was showing reined cowhorses as well as raising thoroughbred racehorses. In 2005, I purchased my first wool sheep and fell in love. Today, Namaste Farms is recognized around the globe for raising high quality wool producing sheep. While sheep are the primary animals at Namaste Farms, there are countless other animals, both four legged and feathered!NOTE: Namaste Farms is a true working farm with copious amounts of sheep, goats, chickens, peafowl, and countless other animals. Know, you're supporting a 501c3 charity and all the revenue goes to support the animals.This booking is for the Treehouse, and while it's only 1/2 a mile from the city limits, it has a rural feel and is centrally located to all wineries and most of the major equestrian facilities including Galway Downs, Green Acres, and California Ranch Company. For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. At night, enjoy the sounds of serenity.

Absolutely! Easy camp set up with actual toilets and shower onsite. Definitely will be back for a quick escape from the city. Only thing to be concerned with is that those roosters be rooster-ing through out the night.

Joshua’s land is exceptional. I felt immediately welcomed when we arrived the tent we slept in had a gorgeous view. I would highly recommend staying here if you just need a quick getaway from the city 10 out of 10.

If you’re looking for a rustic and unique glamping experience surrounded by farm animals, you would love Namaste Farms. The treehouse is cozy, with thoughtful amenities like electricity, a heater, fan, tea kettle, instant coffee, utensils, mugs, and even wine glasses.
We loved seeing the variety of animals on the property — sheep, ponies, a horse, peacocks, ducks, chickens, and a few friendly border collies. The location is convenient and close to plenty of restaurants and wineries, with flat, easy roads leading up to the property. The outdoor shower and toilet are private (not shared) and add to the glamping feel, while still offering modern comforts. Just keep in mind you’ll need to park outside the gate and carry your luggage in, and the space itself is best suited for smaller dogs (under 30 lbs). We stayed during mid-October and the overnight temperature was pleasant without needing to use the heater.

What an incredible weekend at Namaste and we can not wait to come back for another stay! We came in from Palm Springs for a nice relaxing weekened surrounded by farm life! My husband and i just celebrated 21 years together, 18 years married, and it was just what the dr ordered! The tree house was so fun and a cute little cozy place to stay. The Ranch was rustic, so charming, and nicely kept. We loved petting allllll of the animals and feeding the horses. The pups (gaudians) around the farm were so fun and kept me from missing my own that stayed home. Sean was so nice and we had so many nice chats with him about the animals, farm life, and his family. He gave us AWESOME suggestions on places to eat near by and they did not disappoint! Overall 10/10 I recommend and hope to return soon 🫶🏼

Namaste farms was a perfect little escape for a night. Sean was so helpful getting us set up and answering any questions we had. The tree house was so cozy and perfect for a little “glamping trip”.
