Super friendly people. They greeted us when we got there, couldn’t ask for better hosts! Property is beautiful with access to the restroom inside the cabin when we needed it.

Bear Hollow Camp Site
This was my first solo camping trip with my dog, and I couldn’t have been happier with my choice. Absolutely loved staying at Bear Hallow. The location is super easy to get to, close to the city yet wide and open enough to feel like you’re out in the wild. Emily and her husband are wonderful hosts; so kind and easygoing. They even saved me when I forgot my heavy blankets (duhhh, lol). The camp space is cozy, with absolutely incredible night skies and the bonus of gas fire pits, perfect for cold nights and cozy early morning, I also enjoyed the fresh eggs for breakfast, which were delicious! I left feeling completely recharged and so happy with my experience. I 100% recommend staying here. 💖

Absolutely amazing! From the moment of arrival I could tell Emily & the family have a true passion for the outdoor and hospitality. The land was stunning, some of the best I’ve camped in the Big Bear area. Nicely spread out, quiet, and lots of really cool hiking trails right at your tents door. The property is very clean and welcoming and lots of goodies for the nature lovers. Book multiple nights, you won’t want to leave!!

Lovely spot with lovely hosts! Borders state forest land with a beautiful seasonal creek and ample camping space. Also an adorable bathroom in a newly furnished man cave. Also home to a very handsome duck.

We loved camping at Emily’s hip camp spot, she was super friendly and communication was very easy. The spot was quiet, spacious, and exactly what we were looking for our overnight trip to Big Bear Lake. Would definitely recommend staying here and we would come back again!

Enjoyed our stay at Bear Hollow. The place is nice, with lots of open space, a couple of picnic tables, a horseshoe game area, leisure chairs and swing. Em and Murph were nice and provided great communication during our stay. We enjoyed the area. Their place also has chickens, and a nice vegetable garden that was a treat to look at.
Bonus, if you like geocaching, there is one located a short distance from their place and made it a nice activity for kids.

We had a wonderful stay, very peaceful, private and quiet. Just the wildlife and occasional visit from Emily’s cat Ladybug to keep you company. Great host, highly recommend and would stay again. Thank you!!

We loved this campsite and our 27' Airstream fit right in at the top of the stairs down to the site. Peaceful, private, and spacious. Would recommend this to anyone visiting the Big Bear area. The hosts and their dog were super friendly with us and our pup too!

What an amazing experience tent camping at Bear Hollow Campsite. The hosts were so kind and helpful while also giving us plenty of privacy to enjoy their beautiful forest landscape. My girlfriend and I had a beautiful time and would 100% recommend this spot to any campers.

Awesome hosts ! Large camping site has some great touches including horseshoe pit, double swing chairs and propane fire pit. Great location right next to preservation land. Highly recommended.

Such a beautiful spot! Very quiet and chill. Hosts were so cool. We had some wild donkeys come around both morning we were there. They have goats, chickens, and a cool propane fire pit. Very close to everything, hope to be back again one day!

What a beautiful place to wake up! This spot is perfect for a single person getaway or for a group to have some fun outside. Emily and her husband were so accommodating and kind. Delicious eggs, cute goats and a sweet pup to go with it!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Bear Hollow RV and Camp Site! Located in a serene canyon surrounded by ponderosa pines, this site provides the perfect mix of privacy and natural beauty, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing family getaway.
Emily and Murph are exceptional hosts who made our experience truly memorable. Their warm and welcoming nature was evident from the moment we arrived. They went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home, with thoughtful touches like a bottle of wine on arrival and a friendly introduction to their charming animals.
The campsite itself was perfect for us and our two Golden Retrievers. It was well-maintained and had everything we needed. The loose gravel surface was easy for our dogs to navigate, and the ample space allowed them to roam freely. The availability of water and the option to rent extras like a propane firepit and grill added to the convenience and enjoyment of our stay.
For families with pets, Bear Hollow is an excellent choice. The hosts are incredibly accommodating, and the property is a beautiful, pet-friendly haven. We loved exploring the land, interacting with the animals, and enjoying the peaceful forest surroundings with our furry companions.

We had a wonderful time at Bear Hollow. It's a beautiful and private area with a lot of interesting history. Emily & Murph are just incredible hosts and went above and beyond for us! They're amazing people, super kind, and a joy to talk to. We loved spending time with the animals, enjoying the firepit and log furniture, and exploring the land. The is an excellent location to take your kids camping and we will definitely be back:).

Emily and Murph are two of the most gracious hosts we could have asked for. It was our son’s 6th birthday and they both went above and beyond to make sure he had a special experience. They took us on a tour of their beautiful homestead which includes goats, chickens, a cat, dog and a beautiful vegetable garden.
I can’t recommend staying here enough. Between the exception service of Emily & Murph, along with the raw beauty of this property you are sure to have a special time!

Honestly I have no idea where to even start! My partner and I took our 6 year old here for a weekend to introduce him to camping / the outdoors and we were met by the most gracious, amazing hosts. Emily and Chris (Murph) were so attentive to our needs and went above and beyond for us but mostly for our child. They had wine, a juice gallon and a coloring book as well as local booklets of things to do ready upon our arrival. They had coffee ready for us each morning we were there and let us roam around their home to explore their fruit/veggie garden and pet their chickens and goats. Their dog Mookie was the best too! I cannot stress enough how much their kindness and attentiveness left a lasting positive impact on us, especially on our son. They are truly great people, and their generosity and warmth made our experience unforgettable. If you are looking for a place to camp, book with Emily & Chris because I promise you will not regret it!
To Emily & Murph: Thank you again for everything & God bless you! ❤️ We can’t wait for our next trip to Big Bear.

Hosts are very communicative and flexible. We arrived later than we had intended but the hosts had the grill already set-up so we could start cooking right when we got there. There also a propane fire pit, lawn chairs, and outdoor games (horseshoe, cornhole ,etc) and plenty of space for setting up tents and hammocks.
Would definitely recommend this place!
