The coastal bike and hike trails are many. From South of Ft Bragg to the Sand Dunes near Ward Ave. you can travel over 7 miles one way and go down to quiet little beach coves along the way. Meadow Farm is a nonprofit 501c3 with goals of coastal food security, disaster preparation and sheltering, carbon sequestering and forest restoration. We offer native plant tours on or off site with advance notice. We like our dog companions! Two McNab collies, Moxie and Shama live here and may bark at first...still very friendly and social with people and other dogs.. There are several dog friendly off-leash areas such as, Noyo North Harbor Beach, Seaside Beach and dog parks in both Ft Bragg and Mendocino. Our farm is dog friendly tho we wish pets to be kept close, must be neutered and friendly to other dogs and people. Please be sure to bury or bag the waste. Speaking of waste, Meadow Farm strives to reduce waste by avoiding plastic as much as possible, recycling what we can and composting our veggie scraps. Please bring your own waste receptacles and take them along when you go. We take ours to the Caspar Transfer Station which is open Saturday through Wednesday... the location and hours can be found online. Our water is from a deep well and we periodically test it for bacteria. It is cold and delicious. Our irrigation pipes that have spigots and hoses at each camp are safe for drinking, cooking and cleaning Our solar pump moves water into storage tanks that provide all the water to the farm. It is very important that the water valves on your camp spigot is turned off (gently please) to avoid losing 2500 gallons of water in a short time. If you see a leak or break in a line please contact us immediately. There are also water shut offs for the camps on the west side of the Farm House if you are unable to reach us right away.. When doing dishes we request that you use the strainer to catch food particles from the dish water and toss them in your trash or compost bucket. If you have vegetable waste let us know and we can pick them up for adding to the worm bins or composting piles. We make worm "tea" fertilizer and rich soil from these offerings. No animal products or oil please... a few egg shells are okay. We do have the usual wildlife though we haven't had problems with them. Ravens will raid your camp if food or bags are left out while you are away. From dusk to dawn keep children and pets close. We coexist well here with the critters...and glad to have them. 2 nights at Meadow Farm & Forest

The Cozy Cabin is tiny and adorable - one of those rare properties that is actually exactly as described in its listing. We brought our dog and had a lovely stay. The bed is very comfortable, the cabin is well insulated, well spaced from other dwellings and campsites, the land around it is beautiful, and there are lots of stars to see on a clear night. Only noteworthy flaw was upon arrival: it was pretty tough to find our way in the dark. Arrive in the daylight if possible until they add clearer night-reflective signage and/or a detailed campsite map!

The hosts were so welcoming and the yurt was super cozy. The yurt was heated so it’s a perfect year round stay. You’ll get to enjoy beautiful gardens the entire stay. Also I 10/10 recommend showering at night because you can see the stars above you the entire time. I would definitely stay here again.

Good Things Farm is an amazing hidden gem in Fort Bragg! Kirsten and Evan were fantastic hosts and have such a beautiful farm where we were able to explore and enjoy all of the beautiful flowers, fruit trees, river spot and so much more. The yurt was such a great place to stay in and was so fun and cozy to stay in after enjoying an evening by the campfire!

Weekend Trip to Eel River Escape

Such a special place to be. The homey feeling of an Airbnb with the privacy and nature of a good camping adventure. River access is a little bit of a trek to get to so just something to note if you might not be as able bodied but sooo worth it if you can- we essentially had that section of the river completely to ourselves. Tent was well kept and everything was well maintained. Would definitely recommend and will probably be back at some point!

Good Things Farm is a truly magical place to say. Kirsten and Evan have created a truly magical little haven! They are extremely gracious and kind hosts! My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed the space. We had intended to use this as just a home base to explore Fort Bragg and Mendocino on a long weekend, but honestly we found that staying at the farm was the probably the main experience in itself. We really enjoyed the bikes that were provided with easy access to the leisurely coastal trail around the town. Mendocino is also only a short drive away (30 mins) and has gorgeous beach views. But what really made the experience so great was just staying on the farm. It's like having private access to a botanical garden! The hot outdoor shower was also a to die for experience. Two shower heads!!! If you are looking for the glamping experience than this has to be the best it can ever get! Also be sure to visit the farm box out front! Lots of really affordable and delicious fruits, meats, snacks, etc.

We loved our night at the bell tent by the river. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Season was a warm, helpful host. It was very hot when we arrived and she recommended some Eel River splash and swim locations based on my son's swimming ability. The showers were warm and well kept. Wifi was strong enough for video chats wih family. The portapotties were clean but nothing can change the odor in 100 degree heat. Plus the dog and cat were so cute and sweet. We plan to come back.

What a magical place to relax and restore your soul. Kristen and Evan have created the perfect little cozy yurt experience. It was so beautiful, we had everything we needed, and Kristen and Evan were such kind and helpful hosts. The outdoor shower was invigorating and we loved being able to see the trees! It was so wonderful to watch the sun come up and cast glowing light on the trees from our bed in the morning while sipping on a cup of coffee. We added the fire wood and flower picking experiences to our stay and it was truly the "cherry on top." Sitting under the stars while enjoying a crackling fire was so nice and wandering around the garden in the morning was absolutely the best, I can't describe how fun it was to walk amongst the flowers and make a bouquet! I highly recommend making Kristen and Evan's yurt your home for the weekend!!! It was truly an unforgettable experience that I will treasure forever!

We really enjoyed our stay! The grounds are beautiful & peaceful, and we slept better than we have in a while :) We were unsure about camping or the Cozy Cabin but in the end we were happy to have chosen the cabin. It's cozy as described, the mattress is comfortable, and the amenities are very nice to have. Would definitely stay again! One small word of warning: be prepared for your car to get dusty! The paths you ride on to get to the cabin kick up a lot of dust even when driving slow. This wasn't an issue for us at all, but for those who like their cars to be pristine, be prepared!
