Really great stay and fantastic wine! The site was private and quiet, and we had no trouble getting there in our camper. Andrew was very friendly and communicative with directions and anything we needed to know ahead of time!

This site was as advertised, but felt kind of expensive for what you get. It was essentially a place to park with no real amenities.
I had a lovely experience initially. The room was clean and comfortable, the bed and fresh sheets were good, and the property was peaceful surrounded by woods. I especially enjoyed the outdoor shower. Andrew was helpful with directions and welcoming when I arrived, and I was offered a glass of wine. I was looking forward to doing a tasting and purchasing a couple of bottles before leaving.
Unfortunately, my experience changed dramatically when I was attacked by a dog on the property. The dog was not on a leash. It suddenly came running toward me, jumped up, and grabbed at my abdomen. I was scratched on my abdomen and my dress was torn. Thankfully, my physical injuries were not too serious, but the incident was very frightening and traumatic.
As I was leaving, Andrew apologized, gave me a bottle of wine, offered to refund my stay because of the incident. I did not ask for the refund, but I accepted in good faith. However, I never received the refund. He later messaged me through Hipcamp apologizing again.
I waited before writing this review because I wanted time to process the experience and be fair. Without the dog incident, I would have left a very positive review. Unfortunately, being attacked by an unleashed dog was a serious safety issue, and because of the incident and its potential future risk, I cannot recommend staying here.
Andrew's land is bucolic, peaceful and quiet. His house and winery are about 100 yards down the road which made it easy to do a tasting an buy a couple bottles of wine. Dog friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Gazebo Below the Winery
What a wonderful spot to spend the night! Andrew and his wife were amazing hosts - very communicative and accommodating. Andrew suggested a fun swim stop for us on the way and then upon arrival allowed us to jump into a wine tasting with them. We had a fun place to park the camper van while our teen daughters enjoyed the gazebo. On top of it all, the wine was amazing!!

The cabin is very sweet, Andrew was super nice and welcoming, the property is beautiful, and the mattress heater worked very well. Recommended.
Beautiful place to camp. Very friendly host. Delicious wine. Primitive camping, so bring your own water, TP, etc. Great stay and would stay there again!

We loved the gazebo. It’s primitive, cozy, private, and wonderful. We love outdoor showering and were grateful for this one.
Andrew was kind, flexible ,and welcoming. We felt it was a great experience and value.
We wish we had the time to experience the wine tasting feature Andrew offers. I would have enjoyed it and seeing the wine tasting space.
We were glad Andrew pointed out poison oak and steered us clear of its trouble.
If you don’t mind a port-a-pot and have a sense of adventure, we highly recommend the experience.
The listing stated the site host would be there to direct us to our site. He backed out less than 24 hours notice and expected his verbal description to find the site to be sufficient. After driving a sketchy road and searching 20 plus minutes I couldn’t locate the site. The host blamed me for my negligence and refused to refund the money. The property was very overgrown and hard to access without four wheel drive.

Andrew's land is really gorgeous and he was extremely friendly and helpful. We bought two bottles of wine and loved both! Definitely would recommend.

Briceland vineyard gazebo is beautiful! Our host, Andrew, is a super chill, kind and accommodating host. We enjoyed the incredibly comfortable bed and peaceful surroundings nestled in a quaint, small working winery. Even though Andrew was busy he made himself available for all our needs. Thank you Andrew! This was our first reservation we’ve made on the Hipcamp app so we made a few mistakes regarding our stay. The best advice I can give is to ask questions, especially if the add-ons are available and will be provided. We also didn’t know there were no campfires allowed at the time of our reservation, we were dependent on that to cook our food. We did end up leaving a day early but it was at no fault of our host. We were struggling to get up the steps to the bathroom from the gazebo.

Andrew and Rosie are just lovely. We did the wine tasting and had a great time. The bed in the gazebo was really exciting after several nights of camping, we loved the beach house vibes inside. We couldn’t have been more excited about the outdoor shower, such a relief to scrub the dirt and mud we had accumulated off before climbing into the huge bed.
Andrew and Rosie have a beautiful property in the Redwoods, in between Shelter Cove and Avenue of the Giants. My boyfriend and I went to both spots and loved being centrally located. The gazebo we stayed in had charm and we loved hearing nature at night dozing off into sleep. Andrew and Rose offer wine tastings and I would not pass up this opportunity. We learned so much about their wines, grape growing and winemaking in general. Their wines are phenomenal and we took some bottles home. We are definitely coming back to explore the area more but we also loved having them as hosts.

Andrew is the best! We stayed for two nights and would've happily stayed on many more. The cabin is charming and cozy and the property is gorgeous. Best hosts, best vibe. Will definitely be back.
Beautiful winery and lovely gazebo accommodations for a relaxing night’s sleep. Andrew and Rose were incredible hosts! Make it in time for the tasting and you won’t be disappointed.

It is a very unique experience, and you should take the host, Andrew, up on his offer for wine tasting. His wines are amazing, and it was really fun to talk with him about his process. The site is a lovely primitive location with very little in the way of amenities, and is probably best if you have campervan.
The biggest downside there is poison oak though-out the campsite.

The weather was going to get too cold (38 degrees) for us to tent camp so we cancelled our reservation the day before we were supposed to be there. Seven day before cancellation policy I probably won't get a refund but we were looking forward to experiencing it.
We had a reservation for two nights in a tent site. We canceled at the last minute because the temperature was forecast to drop significantly. Weather.com said it would drop to 38°. We did not have the equipment or clothing to tent camp in near freezing temperatures. I sent Andrew a message explaining this and letting him know we are an older couple (in our 60s). I asked him if he would consider a refund. We never heard back from him.
Andrew and his wife were an absolute delight and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay with them again! We had some unexpected car issues when we arrived that added to our stress, but our hosts were so kind, gracious, and helpful through it all— we very much felt cared for and deeply appreciated their hospitality. The property itself is gorgeous and tucked into a deeply wooded area. The gazebo had a comfortable bed and everything we needed to rest well during our stay. The next time I’m in the area I will be sure to stay here again!
The winery is exceptional—boutique and charming, evoking the essence of country living from frontier days. Andrew and his wife Rosie are warm, welcoming, and immensely knowledgeable. I highly recommend partaking in a wine tasting. It's customary to purchase a bottle or two if you participate in the tasting, just so you know. They are wonderful people. Additionally, the campsite above the pond is ideal for car and RV camping, though tent camping is feasible in the dry season. I attempted hammock camping, but it was challenging due to the lack of suitable trees. It’s primarily designed for simple car camping.

I had an exceptional experience with Andrew, engaging in delightful conversations about winemaking. I highly recommend the wine tasting, as it features some of the finest wines we've ever enjoyed. The Rosé was an unexpected delight. We chose the pond spot at the top, which offers a stunning view of the grassland. Although the entrance is steep, it is manageable for most vehicles. Our AWD Ford Transit handled it effortlessly. The night was serene and peaceful, with only the occasional vehicle passing by.

Andrew is delightful and has a lot of great local recommendations. The winery is also very chill and adorable!
The cabin was great for what we needed, a simple two night stay in the area. Note, this isn’t a very fancy facility. The bed was comfortable and being protected from insects and wildlife is great. However, the bathroom is a porta potty and there isn’t a working sink.
The shower area looks rough and soily, but the shower itself was a good temp and did the job.
I hope Andrew and his wife can renovate sometime soon to really elevate the experience slightly, add more paving/steps to make the outdoor space more welcoming around the cabin. There is elevation, so a proper composting toilet with a chute is totally doable as well and could be built attached to the cabin structure.

Small quiet off the path single camp site. Andrew is a really nice host and met us at entry.
Andrew was an exceptional host. Enjoyed the stay - he was so kind to take the time to show us his winery and share his viticulture and enology background and experience. I would absolutely recommend his beautiful campground for overnight stays, a tour of his winery and wine tasting!!
