What a great property. Fantastic valley view. Well thought out spaces. My 30ft trailer was comfortable. The picnic tables and the lights in the trees created a beautiful ambiance. Great base for visiting the Avenue of the Giants

We loved the site! The weather was perfect for us and we happened to have the whole site to ourselves :). All the details were well thought out and it was a great stay! We had an RV and appreciated the hookup, plus the tables, tree lights, wifi and porta-potty; and most of all a great view and peaceful spot!

FANTASTIC spot! The hot shower, picnic tables, and firepits were great amenities. The PortaPotty was clean. The hillside was perfectly lovely for letting the dogs roam. Saw deer and wild turkey. Easy to get in and out of with a camper. Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful stay for one night. Had the place to ourselves and got to see several deer and a flock of turkeys. We did a 10 day Northern California road trip and this was one of our favourite stops. Hot shower with no one around made it a great place. Little off the beaten path to get there but worth it.

Although our stay was short, we really enjoyed the views and the amenities. It was very clean and having a warm shower was a plus. By kids and dogs loved all of the open space and the basketball hoop. We would definitely recommend this spot to any family.

What an amazing place to stay wonderful views as you’re sitting outside your RV or tent you truly feel like you’re at a higher elevation than the 400 feet. Our Camp host, Brian was an amazing person. We had a wonderful conversation with him during ourstay. He did an outstanding job making sure we were comfortable and had just the perfect spot to to set up.. had the whole place to ourselves, nice and quiet and relaxing. Will definitely be stopping back during our next trip north.

We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. We enjoyed watching the neighbor's horse, the deer, turkeys, and numerous hawks in the area. The view of the mountains over the meadow was spectacular at sundown. The hookups, hot shower (even though there were lots of spiders in it), fire rings and firewood, and reliable wifi were all very much appreciated! We will definitely be back!

Amazing site! Quiet, far from crowds, potable water, electric, shower, toilet, firepit, this place had it all. It was a quick 15 minute drive to Humboldt Redwoods State Park. This was a much better place to camp than the crowded parks. At night, deer and turkeys ran around the field. Incredibly peaceful. I'll come back here again. 10/10.

The property was very nice and well kept. So much land for our dogs to enjoy. This place was so quiet we slept peacefully. There was deer and wild turkeys passing through our yard and we really enjoyed it. Lenny was very nice and full of information about the local area. We would definitely go there again and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful place to stay.

I tent camped with a group of four and had a great experience on this property! The site had all the comforts we needed—power, WiFi, a refrigerator, hot shower, and a port-a-potty. While the two camp/RV sites share amenities, there’s so much space that it never felt crowded or inconvenient. Lena and Bryan were kind, responsive, and very accommodating throughout our stay.
We visited for the Avenue of the Giants Marathon, and the location was perfect distance-wise. The property is peaceful and beautiful, with plenty of flexibility to tailor your setup. My only tip: bring extension cords and check in with the hosts ahead of time to confirm which amenities will be available during your stay.

Beautiful spot, great view. Very nice to have power, potable water, Wifi, and a port-a-pot to avoid filling up our black tank. We were the only ones there, which made it extra nice. If multiple people were there, it looks like they’d be lined up end to end. Nice Adirondack chairs and picnic table under a lighted shade tree. Hosts were very friendly when they met us upon our arrival.

Great site! Brian welcomed us and explained everything about the place. Nice and quiet, went for a short walk down the road and had a nice evening. Views of the valley and surrounding hills. April is great time of year to visit.

We weren’t able to find the host upon arrival but were able to find our campsite. It would have been great get a bit more info from them, for example the wifi password, but we did okay!
Everything was in good repair and the portable toilets were clean. We didn’t try the outdoor shower…it was pretty chilly…so can’t comment. The view was nice and we had the place to ourselves.

Huge open vistas of mountains and trees. Lovely setting and fun lights and camping set up. Great wifi. Road to site was a bit steep and narrow but our trailer managed and less intimidating when we left. Outdoor shower was a great perk

Nice spacious sites for tent camping, with hot shower and electricity. Horseshoe pits and basketball hoop were nice to have. Campfire ban was a bummer: it’s important to be safe and we were surprised to see campfires in state and county campgrounds nearby.

Relaxing spot near the big trees

Salmon Creek MV Retreat was a great spot to take our 20’ trailer. Actually a hidden gem and exactly what we were looking for when we downloaded the Hipcamp app. The property is on a big flat ridge with easy trailer turn around and parking space. Big metal shed/barns are on the property but don’t deter from the ambiance. Open field, horse properties, pond, mountain and big sky views. Many birds and other wildlife abound.
Take note… Only 12 minutes from Miranda on a narrow rough paved road. Bring extra power cord and fresh water hose extensions for flexibility in setting up in the best spot. Sites are not all that level. #2 under the trees was a prefect location.
Electrical, water, portapotty and fun outdoor shower are easy access. Miranda Market/Gas (great grocery store!) has a $13 OR with +$50 gas fillup free Dump Station.
Close Redwood +-5 mile long day hike with some nice elevation gain is close by Miranda too. Combine Stephen’s Grove Loop with Dry Creek Trail. Enjoyed hanging out at the peaceful camp site and not driving far for some awesome river, big tree, hiking, rest and relaxing.
