We are conveniently located off of US 101, therefore there may be some freeway noise, during commute hours especially. It has become like white noise to me, but it is only fair to mention it. We offer full hookups which consists of 50 amp & 110 volt electrical outlets, potable water, sewage dump. We also have one pigtail available (with a refundable deposit) if needed to convert 50 amp to 30 amp. We also have one place in the middle of our big vineyards with a 30 amp and water only. No sewer. Our sites are located one mile from Healdsburg plaza, the heart of Sonoma County Wine Country. Our town offers amazing wineries, fantastic restaurants, and quaint shops. It is an excellent place for wine lovers. There is a pre-prohibition winery right across the road called Foppiano. There are many other fabulous wineries are nearby. Ask the host for discount passes or complimentary tasting cards for some of the local wineries. We are in an excellent location for outdoor adventurers. There are plenty of hiking trails near by as well as bike rental shops for those who enjoy trekking, and even a couple of rafting places right here on the Russian River. We are close to places like Armstrong Woods, Safari West, Getaway Adventures, The Sonoma County Fairgrounds which hosts the Summer Country Concerts among other events, Harmony Festival, Santa Rosa Full Camp; Half Marathons Camp; 5K, Sonoma Zip-line Adventures, and Much More! Our south-facing property receives full sun unlike many redwood locations. The "Fairy Rings" have been trimmed up for fire prevention and offer great views and opportunities to appreciate the magnificence of these Redwood giants that we love. There is great coffee and Amazing pastries at Gold Coast just a mile away in Duncan's Mills. Jenner is only about 15 mins away with Cafe Aquatica and River's End Restaurant (reservations needed-SO good and special) The "Cazita" sleeps up to 3 guests in a king bed and sofa sleeper and has a bathroom with flush toilet and shower. It has a fully-equipped kitchen with everything needed to prepare your meals. There is a 2 night minimum for booking. The "Redwood Nest" is a standalone room featuring a queen bed and bay window looking out onto a redwood stand. There is a composting toilet in the attached outhouse and an outdoor sink. There are no cooking facilities and no cooking allowed. The redwood nest is really perfect for a couple looking to eat out and then sleep, fully at peace beneath the Redwoods. Please note that there is a friendly dog on the property (although we do not accept pet guests). This property is ideal for quiet people who want to get away into nature, enjoy the outdoors. It is dark at night- we do not have exterior lighting except for string lights and provided flashlights. Quiet hours begin at 9:30pm. There is absolutely no smoking of any kind permitted on the property. Although some reviews mention a hot tub, it is no longer available to guests (sorry, maintenance issues)

There are no cooking facilities and no cooking allowed. The redwood nest is really perfect for a couple looking to eat out and then sleep, fully at peace beneath the Redwoods. Nestled in the redwoods, we have two units. The "Cazita" is a fully-equipped studio cabin with full kitchen and bathroom. The "Redwood Nest" is a standalone tiny cabin/sleeping space with no cooking facilities. There is an attached composting toilet and access to an outdoor open air shower. Both offer quiet seclusion and easy access to all that the lower Russian River Valley has to offer. We are close to both the Russian River, Austin Creek, the coast beaches (15 minute drive), stellar cycling routes and many amazing trails for hiking. Our south-facing property receives full sun unlike many redwood locations. The "Fairy Rings" have been trimmed up for fire prevention and offer great views and opportunities to appreciate the magnificence of these Redwood giants that we love. There is great coffee and Amazing pastries at Gold Coast just a mile away in Duncan's Mills. Jenner is only about 15 mins away with Cafe Aquatica and River's End Restaurant (reservations needed-SO good and special) The "Cazita" sleeps up to 3 guests in a king bed and sofa sleeper and has a bathroom with flush toilet and shower. It has a fully-equipped kitchen with everything needed to prepare your meals. There is a 2 night minimum for booking. The "Redwood Nest" is a standalone room featuring a queen bed and bay window looking out onto a redwood stand. There is a composting toilet in the attached outhouse and an outdoor sink. There are no cooking facilities and no cooking allowed. The redwood nest is really perfect for a couple looking to eat out and then sleep, fully at peace beneath the Redwoods. Please note that there is a friendly dog on the property (although we do not accept pet guests). This property is ideal for quiet people who want to get away into nature, enjoy the outdoors. It is dark at night- we do not have exterior lighting except for string lights and provided flashlights. Quiet hours begin at 9:30pm. After a week in the bustle of Carmel and Carmel Valley we needed a quiet place to stay going north. A three plus hour drive to the ranch was enough. Having a perfect place to camp by ourselves and not having to deal with anyone was ideal. A few cows came up the fence and checked us out. The night was dark and very quiet and being treated as a capable adults and taking care of ourselves was ideal. Will definitely stay there again.

Weekend Trip to Moon Bear Lodge
I can't recommend this treehouse enough! To start off, Miss J was so sweet and gave us a tour of the whole place before we settled in! You could tell she cared deeply about the land and making all of her guests feel welcome! The treehouse itself was something out of a fairytale - the adventure of staying up in the trees, the serenity of the woods, the spectacular views from the jacuzzi.. everything about this place was truly magical. I can't wait to come back and stay for longer next time!

The cabin is such a cozy place. More than enough space for a couple to stay. My wife and I loved the place. Have to mention the whole camp community is quiet and beautiful, very friendly to dog. Our dog had a wonderful time there.

There is a portable toilet on the wraparound deck and an electric luggage lift to get your gear up there safely. It has power and heat and a coffee maker, mini fridge, coffee, and tea. Also some cozy hooded rubs to make your way down to the hot tub in.

Work, school, life. We all live with our worries, pressures, and responsibilities that often become too much to handle at times. Moon bear lodge really is the perfect place to recharge and connect with nature on a deeper level. The hosts are absolutely amazing, genuine people, and it has been an honor to be at presence of such a special property. If your brain is clogged, you’re having an existential crisis, tired of people, or simply want a very cozy place to read some books, definitely pull the trigger and check this place out.

Lynda was very friendly and helpful. The property has amazing themed sites to lounge at and are large enough for a group or family if you rent both sites (cabin and boathouse). The cozy cabin has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Lynda has taken a lot of time to ensure the cabin is well stocked with useful items so you only need to bring clothes, toiletries, and food to have a great stay. We loved using the hot tub/fire pit at night and reading or playing board games on the covered porch during the day. The dimmable lights in the cabin and on the patio were such a nice touch! The cabin and surrounding area felt very private. The nearby of town of Monte Rio is within walking distance (or a quick drive) and has multiple restaurants (the food from Sarah’s Kitchen in the Highland Dell was very good). This is also a great location as there’s so much to do nearby. You’re close to the coast and multiple small towns to explore. I highly recommend staying here and cannot wait to come back!

Weekend Trip to Moon Bear Lodge
The treehouse is amazing! Such a cool experience, and the entire property has lots to offer - hot tub, playground, outdoor shower, fire pits, etc. Hosts were very helpful and responsive. I believe they were on property, but we were the only guests this weekend and it felt like we were alone which was nice! The “downtown” has some super cute shops/restaurants and there are hikes and activities to do nearby. Would stay here again!

We had a delightful stay at the Kimball family farm. Our host was wonderful! The place was so peaceful. The weather in mid October couldn’t have been more perfect! The cabin is full of potted plants. Highly recommend the wine tasting! 20 minute drive to UCDavis which was the purpose of our travels. Will stay again.

Lynda and Rich were friendly, funny, and welcoming. Simple check in with recommendations in the neighborhood. The photos don’t do the property justice - it is beautiful, silly, and unique. Each spot has its own privacy, and it feels like you are in your own little grove. You’re also right next to a wonderful breakfast/lunch spot, and just a few minutes from the Russian River and Guerneville. I highly recommend the Wackalulu Cozy Cabin to anyone reading this!
