Park your RV at our place on your travels, we are 5 min off the interstate! Dirt road is great for walking, some parts of the year people pass through for birding. Some people come to check out the area to potentially move to the area and some only come for the winters. We also have a short little nature trail that we made ourselves. We are 30 minutes south of Tucson, 25 minute drive away from Madera Canyon/Coronado National Forest for some great hiking and bird watching! No light pollution so you can see the stars good at night. Remember the term sky island. Here in southeastern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico, mountains seemingly come out of nowhere to dominate an otherwise flat landscape. Discover the five distinct areas of this national forest, all of which have their own sky islands.
Start your wanderings at Sabino Canyon. Steep rock cliffs and unique desert vegetation follow Sabino Creek, which maintains water year-round. Keep a sharp eye out for desert wildlife adapted for high heat and low humidity. Gila monsters may sun themselves on rocks, while bobcats sip from the creek's water.

We (Tim and Victoria) moved out to our place in the desert in February 2008 along with our many plants. We have continued to grow our little farm of 6 acres to what it is today, which includes an orchard with about 50 fruit and nut trees and enclosed garden/greenhouse structures with veggies and herbs that are protected from wildlife and the elements. We have a seasonally heated pool with 3/4 wraparound deck and amazing views of the Tucson Mountains. We have a basketball court, a ping pong table, cornhole court as well for recreation. Our Beach site has a domed 'chill zone' with heaters in the winter, comfortable chairs for relaxation and a great spot to let your dog hang out unleashed. Our Prickly Pear site has a pull through for campers and RVs. Our RV site has 30 amp electric and black water dump station.
All of our sites are fenced in, and have many, many cool amenities such as fire pits, sinks with fresh, pure water, table with 4 chairs, gas grills and lounge chairs/porch swing.
Our property in a 160-acre neighborhood surrounded by open desert state lands.

The pad has a 30 amp/120 volt RV box and a 20 amp/120 volt GFCI receptacle. No converters are available at this time. No generator use allowed anytime. The space can accommodate the small Class A’s. The site is 40’ long. If your combination RV/ Tow Vehicle is longer than that then there is off street parking directly in front of the entry gate. This is a pull in or back in site only and not a pull through. ADA sidewalks outside.
Other things to note: This is a local residential neighborhood so no loud music or partying- quiet hours begin at 10p. Children must be supervised at all times. Dog owners must clean up after their pets. Animal companions can be unleashed if kept within your enclosed area. No barking dogs left unattended in the fenced area. We (Tim and Victoria) moved out to our place in the desert in February 2008 along with our many plants. We have continued to grow our little farm of 6 acres to what it is today, which includes an orchard with about 50 fruit and nut trees and enclosed garden/greenhouse structures with veggies and herbs that are protected from wildlife and the elements. We have a seasonally heated pool with 3/4 wraparound deck and amazing views of the Tucson Mountains. We have a basketball court, a ping pong table, cornhole court as well for recreation. Our Beach site has a domed 'chill zone' with heaters in the winter, comfortable chairs for relaxation and a great spot to let your dog hang out unleashed. All of our sites are fenced in, and have many, many cool amenities such as fire pits, sinks with fresh, pure water, table with 4 chairs, gas grills and lounge chairs/porch swing.

The home was built by my parents in ‘82. My Mom was an avid hiker and outdoors person. She collected and planted agave pups in the yard and tended to them over the years. Because they’re watered and the pups are removed each spring they continue to grow to mammoth size.

Johnny’s land is a great place to post up when exploring Patagonia, the Arizona Trail, the Paton Center for Hummingbirds, or Nature Conservancy Preserve.
Decently private and quiet. The other campsite is not visible, but neighboring houses are. Expect the usual rural outdoor barking dogs, coyotes, and owls at night. The neighboring property also runs a heavy duty fan/exhaust occasionally. If a light sleeper, I’d recommend ear plugs or white noise machine to block out all the above. Your experience may vary!
Access to the Hipcamp requires driving past a few properties with aggressive no trespassing signs. Rest assured you’re going the right way on a shared road. The turn into the site is AFTER the house with the green gate — there are small hand written signs to point you in the right direction.

My dogs and I LOVED this spot!! It’s rare to find such a private oasis in such an urban area but that’s what this is. The elec hookup for my van was ideal as well as being able to top off my water tank—such a bonus! The table and chairs were so nice to get out of my vehicle and sit outside drinking coffee and oh my gosh the fire pit and firewood provided— I used it every night! I had room to do yoga outside without feeling watched like I do in campgrounds. It was one BLOCK away from the loop and since I was in Tucson to ride bikes w friends, that was so ideal. The hosts are the kindest nicest people. We will definitely be back!!! My dogs loved being able to roam in the completely fenced off yard. They rarely get to be that free. We slept well and really enjoyed our time here. Many thanks for creating such a magical and safe spot Sophia!!!

We stayed for 2 nights and then stayed 2 more because this is pretty much our dream spot. Mountain views, privacy, off the beaten path yet just an easy bike ride into town. Plus having an outhouse available to us really makes van life easier. We love it here!

Great Place! Michael was very communicative and proactively gave us all the info we needed. Kitt has a great view of the goats. Watching them play with the dogs and each other was really cool. The ranch is really isolated and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Very different from the campgrounds we go to. We definitely recommend!!

Make sure to check out their mercantile: in addition to the basic necessities, they have homemade sourdough bread and tastefully created souvenirs including T-shirts and hoodies.
