As many others have said, this secluded property stands out for stellar sunrises and sunsets. While the drive to town may be a few minutes longer than other locations, the beauty of this place makes it all worthwhile. We so appreciate our host sharing his bounty with us!

Camping on James' land was surreal - beautiful location for views and sunrises or sunsets. Easy set up and James was very helpful providing directions that made arrival easy. Quiet and would definitely recommend.

Do you love being in the middle of nowhere surrounded by Saguaro, Prickly Pear, Barrel, and Jumping Charro cacti, watching gorgeous sunsets, and star-gazing at night, listening to the white winged doves, cactus wren, Gila woodpeckers, Gambel’s quail and the cry of coyotes? Then this place is for you. Full hookups! Our 40ft motorhome had plenty of room. Saguaro Nat. Park entrances (E&W) are close by as is Mount Lemmon. Lots of hiking trails. Tucson is close enough, lots of shopping, groceries & restaurants. We can’t say enough good things about this place. The road in is dirt, gravel, & a bit of asphalt. It is worn, bumpy & washboarded, but take your time and it’s no problem and well worth the effort. We can’t wait to visit again.

This place was perfect. I will always come back when I’m in the Tucson area. It was stunningly beautiful, huge, impeccably clean and very prívate. I liked it so much I extended my stay after I saw the site.

James was a great host and the location exceeded our expectations! It really does back up to park land and the views were phenomenal! Be sure to follow the driving instructions he gives you!! Google maps took me in a different and non passable way.

This is a hidden gem for those who appreciate natural beauty and a peaceful atmosphere. Surrounded by desert cactus and framed by gorgeous mountain views, it offers a scenic and relaxing experience. It is reasonably private. Full hookups work great. The only downside is the access road, which is fairly rough and may be a bit challenging for larger rigs—so it’s best to take it slow on the way in. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy the desert in comfort and quiet.

Wow what a beautiful and peaceful location! Full hookup right against the Saguaro National Park. What more could you ask for. Dirt road to get in that has a bit of washboard. We had no problem in 32 foot A class. This will now be our go to spot in the Tucson area.

The site is in a great location. It's private and you can head into the park to hike right from the site. James was great and checked in regularly to make sure everything was great.

Amazing place! If you’re visiting Tucson this is an absolutely wonderful campsite right on the border of the Saguaro National Park. Private site and full hookup for a perfect home-base for all your adventures from hiking to biking right out your door. Definitely will be back when we visit Tucson again.

Beautiful spot near Saguaro National Park and the Red Hills visitor center. Enjoyed our stay and spent hours watching the native birds. Coyotes, javelinas, cotton tail rabbit, and antelope squirrels were day and night time visitors. We saw some of the most amazing sunsets and sunrises. It is a very special place. We hope to return next year.

Beautiful secluded spot with amazing views and sunsets! Had all we needed with hookups, water and even sewage. Maps lead us straight there the first day with no issues but the next night we got a little lost in the dark! Would definitely recommend and hope to be back soon!

This is our second stay on this beautiful property. James is a great host, fast and clear communication… it’s a quiet area, but close enough to the northern end of Tucson and Marana to be able to eat out or stock up on supplies. If you enjoy the peaceful desert, watching birds and mammals, admiring saguaro and other cactus and being able to take hikes right out of your door, you’ll enjoy your time there as much as we do! This is a great secluded site! You feel like you’re in the open desert with great views of rocks/mountains! James is a fantastic host and was flexible around check in/check out times. Highly recommended!! We have a 31ft class A and had no issues getting in.

Great RV site with full hook-ups. Very private and peaceful. Near the entrance to Saguaro NP West entrance. We stayed for a week, and hiked the east side, including Mount Lemmon, from there as well. The privacy and desert beauty of this site makes it well worth driving a few e tra miles. Would love to come back so.e day.

Absolute perfection! Private, excellent location, incredibly peaceful. We stayed on James' land for two weeks and didn't want to leave! Great to have full hookups without all the madness of a campground. Super close to Saguaro NP west, and less than 30 min to Tucson proper. Highly recommend to anyone looking for solitude in the desert! You can't beat the sunsets.

This was our first HipCamp experience and it was fantastic! What a beautiful area and very peaceful. The views were spectacular. Perfect sire to explore Saguaro. The full hook-up was perfect. We had a slight challenge with directions but a call to the host clarified things. We would highly recommend this campsite!

Such a peaceful retreat in the Sonoran Desert bordering Saguaro National Park’s painted desert landscape. Removed from but close enough to Tucson proper. A great home base to explore the area or just enjoy the desert magic.
