Gather around the propane operated firepit in the backyard for some R&R. Bring a hammock 'cuz there are unlimited opportunities for stringing one up! Tons of activities will keep you occupied, including hiking and biking on the nearby Arizona Trail (just 1/2 mile away), or even sledding on your very own private 2 acre piece of paradise! What's even better is the property backs onto the National Forest, for unlimited enjoyment of nature. This is my own little private horse ranch, pretty and clean, I live here and I am here working on premises every day. I do my best to make my guests comfortable and make sure they enjoy their stay. I prefer adult guests, however if your child is well behaved then I will make an exception. I have a clean indoor restroom and a nice breakfast area on a well maintained property? You are safe here and so is your stuff. Good well behaved dogs allowed on leash welcome, no Pit Bulls please. No loud music please. I offer 2 full hook-up spaces, one space is covered. Power is 50 AMPS! An RV must be under 12' to fit under the covered space. I offer 4 dry camping options. You can book the Tent Cabana-The Shady Rest- listing or you can dry camp by booking through my Tent and Vehicle Camping listing. There are no exact designated spaces for tent/vehicle camping. You can choose where you prefer to camp. An extra vehicle is OK as long as it's part of your one campsite. 2 groups with 2 camp vehicles is 2 campsites. I also have the Pool House, an indoor option with a power outlet, and it's close to the pool and restroom area. You can set up your bed or rent a full size bed which I will set up for you. This is my private property, you and your gear are safe and secure. You can leave your campsite and go exploring, no one will bother your stuff. I have WiFi and great cell service here. Please arrive by 10pm unless arrangements are made in advance. I meet with you and show you around. I will greet you personally and show you around. I close my gates at dark or once guests have arrived. Once you are here you may come and go as you please, I just ask that you shut the gates if you come in after dark. The gates will not be locked. I am located just over an hour away from Tucson and 25 minutes off the 10. Dry campers- Off the pool area there is a clean restroom in my back garage and a sink with hot water. There is a breakfast room with clean refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker and coffee w/sugar and creamers available for your use. There is a fire pit at the outside green cabana, and free mesquite firewood. Lots of local birds visit daily. You are welcome to visit and pet my horses and donkeys! All of my guests are my close friends coming for a visit!

This wooded area, nestled in a narrow, steep-walled riparian canyon, was originally developed in 1935 by the Civilian Conservation Corps as part of its larger park-building initiative. Located below Colossal Cave, there are picnic areas to accommodate both large and small groups. The El Bosquecito and La Selvilla areas can host up to 72 and 96 people, respectively. The Cowboy Campground and Cowboy Ramada can accommodate up to 80 and 100 people. All sites feature picnic tables, fire pits, and grills, with restrooms and water available nearby. Didn't bring your lunch? No problem! The Terrace Café offers delicious grab-and-go Tucson specialties and other favorites, so pick your spot, relax, and listen to the birds serenade your meal. If you'd like to stay longer than a day, why not camp under the magnificent Sonoran skies? Campsites are tucked among towering saguaro cacti and mesquite trees in Posta Quemada Canyon, an area developed in 1934 by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The campground includes four large areas—El Bosquecito, La Selvilla, Cowboy Campground, and Cowboy Ramada—plus 15 additional individual campsites. Enjoy the Junipers and see the stars fall over the Cedars! At 6000ft elevation the air is much cleaner and the weather is much cooler, especially in the summer time! We have plenty of space. A well house to fill up your water. There are also outdoor bathrooms, no shower yet, but working on that! We're just a short seven minute drive to the dump station at a local gas station down the road on the Deuce of Clubs and Penrod. We are 14 minutes from a large hospital, 10 minutes from major grocery stores, shopping and restaurants, and many other fun activities. Our location is in a perfect spot to enjoy the blue sky and great weather. Sunrise Ski area is a quick drive too! Pinetop Lakeside are within 10 minutes, Taylor and Snowflake are within 15 to 25 minutes. We hope you visit and continue to keep our environment clean and a chill spot to visit. Beautiful views! 29 miles away you have Picacho State Recreation Area.  This recreation area is about as remote as it gets. Visitors must drive 20 miles down a dirt road just to get to the entrance! That's pretty awesome if you ask us. Picacho truly calls to all hardy adventurers. It was a gold mining town with 100 citizens more than a century ago. This park offers rugged desert mountains, colorful canyons, and the Colorado River. Keep an eye out for beavertail cactus, wild burros, the famous bighorn sheep and thousands of migratory birds. Hike through the mountains to see great views from above. Dip your line in the Colorado River to catch your dinner. No Pop-up campers, Campervans, or Cars Pets are allowed. A treehouse in the city of Phoenix?! Yes. Our 1 acre property just outside of the heart of Central Phoenix has two legacy pine trees, one of which holds a treehouse that was originally built as an extra space for our family and is now open for guests. Not too long ago, our neighborhood roads were dirt, and there are still several horse ranches in the neighborhood. Hiking trails start at the end of our street leading to the Phoenix Mountains and a 3 minute drive will get you to Dreamy Draw Park and Piestewa Peak, with endless miles of hiking and grand views of the city.

I was very impressed with the service and assistance that I received from Karla from the beginning of my stay to the conclusion of my stay. In my opinion, her resort ranch offers a chance for her guests to enjoy the splendid views of the mountains located nearby and to relax by the excellent swimming pool in restful solitude with Tahiti and Hawaiian art pieces. I found Karla’s brief memos about the intriguing history of the men and women in the America West during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries to be both educational and yes even humorous. Karla provides her guests with an excellent evening lights that in my opinion are pleasing to one’s eyes. I highly recommend Karla’s Hummingbird Resort Ranch for anyone interested in RV or tent camping near Huachuca City, AZ.

This was an amazing experience! I went with a group of friends, and we all had a wonderful time exploring the site’s creeks, historical buildings, and diverse views! The only thing I will add is if you have a sedan you will not be able to cross the creek. No worries, however, the hosts helped us along the way. We will definitely be back, and I recommend this for any campers who want a beautiful night sky and property!

What an amazing stay !!! Gary and Daren are top tier host’s who turned into friends! If I was able to visit at least once a month that’s exactly what I would do !! This is a PERFECT intro into the outdoor / camping world … every outdoor activity is on site! From fire to water .. along with a community center very close to your campsite that provides all the essentials for camping! Onsite shower and bathroom alllowing you to fully enjoy camping without the hardships !!! Absolute 10/10 stay and 10/10 hosts .. book now and do not hesitate !!
