Bring your self-contained RV with toilet to this beautiful treed lot on the banks of the Deschutes River in Oregon Water Wonderland near Sunriver. Sit on the deck overlooking the river, or bring your own hammock and relax amongst the trees! Catch a glimpse of Mt. Bachelor across the river and through the trees!
Check-in on arrival day is 2:30pm; Check-out on departure day is 12pm.
No fires or dumping/burying waste of any kind allowed. Leave no trace - pack everything out with you. Two nearby disposal options include: LaPine Transfer Station, 541-408-7589 (Closer, 54580 US-97, La Pine, OR 97739), and
Knott Landfill (Bend), 541-317-3163 (61050 SE 27th St, Bend, OR 97702).
Pets are allowed, but must be kept on a leash or confined in a pen. The neighbors at the adjacent fenced property to the east have a couple of very friendly but curious dogs that like to be introduced to any newly arriving animals!
When you request a booking, please tell me what kind of RV you'll be bringing, and confirm whether it is fully self-contained (with toilet and holding tanks). Also, you must park your RV and any other vehicles on the graveled surface to prevent damage to the underlying water system. Quiet generators may be used between 8am-8pm.
Summers & holiday weekends require a 4-night minimum stay. All other times require a 3-night minimum.
PLEASE NOTE: Use the property's elevated deck (maximum weight capacity: 350 lbs.) and gravel path to the river's edge at your own risk and with the utmost caution! Owner accepts no responsibility for injuries sustained on the property.
Area attractions include the Deschutes River, Mt. Bachelor, Paulina Plunge, Benham Falls, Fall River Trail, Lava Butte, Sunriver Nature Center and Observatory, Spring River, Sparks Lake, Elk Lake, Smith Rock, and the Sisters Rodeo, to name a few. There is a boat launch about 1/4 mile away on Snow Goose Drive, and scenic bike trails in Caldera Springs (about 3.5 miles away), as well as in Sunriver (about 5 miles away).
Local restaurants include Village Bar and Grill, Josie K's Deli and Kitchen, Marcello's, Cafe Sintra, and Blondie's Pizza. There is a small general store (open during the summer) at the Thousand Trails campground on Century Drive, just a short drive away.

I am going to be in early this year because of the lack of snow. I am going in March 22nd. I have taken the block off of the Gers and the camp sites.
8 campsites and 2 original Mongolian Gers.
The season for the camp sites is from June 1st to end of Sept and the Gers for 2025/2026 winter are blocked out from Nov 15/25 to May 15/26.
Pets allowed, toilets on site, campfires permitted when burn ban is not in place. Now up until this year I have provided Free Firewood. I have quit doing that for a variety of reasons, the least being the cost and the work for me. I am encouraging everyone to purchase a Propane Fire Pit if you don't have one by now.
I am not to the point yet of saying no big dogs. Talk to me if you think your "big dog" might not fit in. I don't like them running thru other campers sites, so just be respectful. Take them for walks along the lake.. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no pain in the butts.
Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice?
No loud music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. If you need to listen to the chaos/stressful music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ.
What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”.
Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen.
I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven.

2026-04-12 The frogs will keep you up at night, they can be noisy, like the birds in one tree or another. Water is on and so are the big guns. Come see some animals and greenery in the high desert.
A peaceful retreat on the ranch, lots of open pasture and wildlife. Multiple RV spaces with electrical and well water, and a few tent sites. Lots of open space and sunshine for walks, clear sky’s for starry nights, a frog pond, larger pond with mature aspen grove and bench. birds, deer passing through. Resident cats, Ike, Rose and Haze can be seen out hunting. Streams and ponds June-Sept*. Cameras onsite, but campsites are not covered. Kid friendly with some playground equipment.
Very private, lots of spaces to choose from. Kid friendly, including a climbing dome and a trampoline, and some other obstacle course items. Cows, goats, and sheep to follow around. Afternoon shade on the bench by the main pond next to the aspen grove and a bit of a trickling creek when the pond is full.
10 minutes from downtown Bend and all it has to offer. 5 mins north on Brookswood to the Old Mill District, and the Deschutes river (and trail).

Campsite is on a second driveway to the front of the house on a wooded, half-acre lot in a quiet neighborhood in Southwest Bend. House lots are big and the area provides nice cool morning walks. There is a curb at the start of the driveway but aids will be provided if necessary.
Electrical (110x2; 50A with converter to 30A), water, and sewer hookups are available! The sewer hookup may not work if your drain is underneath your vehicle and low to the ground.
There is a fenced in yard that may be used if your dog(s) get along with mine and you help with poop patrol. You will need to check the fence line to confirm that your dogs cannot get out, as I am not responsible if they escape. A large part of my yard is rewilding, so you will see tall grasses and increasing varieties of flowers over the years.
A hot tub may be available by appointment. House is enhanced by the use of focused life force energy (FLFE.net), so enjoy relaxing in the higher vibes. There is one cat to rule us all and she may grace you with her presence if you welcome her. And a border collie to guard anyone she deems as part of her "flock."
Site is located an easily walkable ½ mile from a shopping center with grocery (just closed but hoping for another to take its place), vet, Mexican and Asian-fusion restaurants, and a wine bar with occasional entertainment. Beyond that, is a park with a climb to a tall hill with a lovely 360 overlook view of the surrounding mountains.
There is access to the river and river trail about ¾ mile walk away - this trail can take you all the way to Farewell Park and the Old Mill shopping area. And a bus stop is around the corner, just about a house length away.
This is a great base location for all your adventures in Bend and surrounding areas, and a quiet place in which to relax afterwards.

Park in our big wrap-around driveway under beautiful Ponderosa pines, kick back, and fall asleep under a sky full of stars—no harsh streetlights here. Don’t worry though, we’ve got a floodlight and cameras for a little extra peace of mind. In the morning, you might even wake up to our neighborhood mule deer cruising through the yard.
Right across the street, you can hop on the Canal Trail and head either way. Cruise east for a quick 5-minute bike ride to Fred Meyer, Starbucks, and more. Or head west through 120+ acres of forest that connects straight to the Deschutes River Trail (about 4 minutes away). From there, it’s all about the outdoors—fishing, bouldering, biking, swimming, rafting…you name it.
Want to check out the Old Mill or catch a show at Hayden Homes Amphitheater? It’s all just ¾ of a mile down the hill—super easy to get to.
If you’re looking at Bend, you probably already know how great it is—tons of outdoor adventures, good food, and plenty to explore.

Our house is located in Wood River Village. It is the beginning of where the Deschutes River bends as it comes into the town of Bend. One can quickly and easily walk to the river trail from our house. By going up river, one gets the sense of being remote and in the forest along a well maintained trail that makes a 3 miles loop with many rapids visible from the trail. By walking down river, one can quickly access Hayden Homes Amphitheater, Old Mill shopping and Downtown on a paved walking path. This is a camping accomodation in an RV that is onsite at our property. You cannot drive it off the property, it remains here at all times. Just bring yourselves and your food and belongings! This 30 foot RV has a queen size bed, seating and dining area, small kitchen space, shower, toilet, refrigerator and electric, wifi and water hookups. Septic dumps are our problem, not yours. Enjoy a fun getaway near Bend for a reasonable price. Up to two dogs allowed.
Historic farm property with standing structures from the early 1900's including the schoolhouse in our driveway and smokehouse at the very back of the lot. Our neighbor across the street grows 30 acres of the best alfalfa around, and we also have ranchers nearby raising sheep, top quality cattle, horses, pygmy goats, rehabilitated former race horses and even peacocks!
Great Bend proximate camping is hard to find. We offer a safe, secure place to camp 10 minutes outside of town with a beautiful farm pond to enjoy in the backyard. We were so honored to be named one of Oregon's top rated HipCamp sites in 2020 and 2021! Thank you! We have taken a break from hosting the last few years and are happy to be back with this new option.
Nearby: Explore trails and Bureau of Land Management (free and open federal property) access nearby for mountain biking, hiking and more. You are welcome and encouraged to explore our property and enjoy all of its peaceful tranquility, including two beautiful ponds. You can walk your dogs without leaving the premises.
Kids love our giant tree house. This is a great place for those with dogs and families. We have dogs and cats but they are friendly with other animals. We ask that you never bring a pet with you who might harm one of ours. There are also wild animals here like deer, hawks, quail, coyotes, porcupines, rockchucks, owls and more.

Really just a home with a rv pad in a quiet subdivision. Nearby is shopping, coffee, concerts at an outdoor amphitheater, restaurants, river views and hikes, mountain biking, sketch or sitting areas in our backyard on the deck or to birdwatch or have tea and read a book, etc... Mt. Bachelor ski lift is about a 45 min drive. We do have a very rural bare bones glamping wood shed option with a nice twin bed and sheets/pillow/blanket, if you’d prefer to be in there, message me in advance please. Ricki’s campsites were well maintained and had all the amenities - water, toilet, tables, chairs, etc. - one would need readily available. As someone with a CPAP machine, I really appreciated have electrical service available. I loved that her property was in the country, but enabled me to be in Bend in less than 10 minutes. Watching the full moon rise against a backdrop of conifers was spectacular!

Weekend Trip to Tranquil Wood Shedteau
The little house was adorable, clean and comfortable. It had everything you would need to sleep comfortably. The outdoor shower was hot and refreshing. The pit toilet was close to house and clean and easy to use and came with wood chips. The hosts were amazing and very responsive. I would stay there again. It was a very pleasant experience.

Weekend Trip to Tranquil Wood Shedteau
The hosts were amazing. The little house was very comfortable and had everything you need for your stay. Beautiful views and lively chickens and ducks to greet you. The outdoor shower was fun and refreshing to use. The pit toilet was private. The outdoor sink was tight outdoor the house. It was cool and relaxing. I would stay there again.

My husband and I have camped here twice and it’s been wonderful each visit. We love to spend time in Newberry Caldera when we travel Central Oregon and this place has to be among the best spots to camp. A quiet, peaceful beach; a welcoming and accommodating host; clean outhouses (always a plus!); and like-minded fellow campers who are there for the same peaceful enjoyment of a beautiful space. Would always recommend, and hope to return soon! :)

One of the coolest camp spots I've been too. David is an excellent host. He has everything you'd ever want for a fun weekend with the family. We loved the access to all the kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, etc. Honestly though, the best part was there wasn't very many people. We could talk and enjoy our scenic paradise uninterrupted

Krystal was extremely communicative in advance! She let me know about some small water leak issues requiring extra valves to be turned and her property gate malfunctioning and offered to cancel/refund if it was a problem. But, those were minor, this is hipCAMP after all and it was still somewhere between an ADU and glamping! The view in the morning, overlooking the lava rocks is absolutely lovely! The only negative I can give is that they sometimes stored things for their business directly across from the parking for guests, making maneuvering difficult if the other cabin’s guests were also parked there. (I drive a 4Runner)

Very cozy and inviting site in the woods with lawn stretching out from the camp area.
It’s well-maintained and spacious, close to town. If you’re towing a trailer, the site is easy to park in and pull out. Hosts were welcoming and accommodating. Chemical outhouse was immaculate. One of the best Hipcamps we’ve experienced. A+!

3 nights at Blue Hour Acres
My partner and I had such a wonderful stay at Lisa’s! The site is so thoughtfully appointed and we enjoyed some lovely high desert evenings under the stars. The private bathroom is top notch (two words: heated seat!), and you must take advantage of the wood fired sauna and cold plunge. The animals around the farm were a delight and super friendly. The site is conveniently located to Bend and Sisters, and I’m so glad I didn’t stay in a typical hotel or Airbnb for my first visit to Bend. I look forward to future visits even more now that I’ve discovered this gem.
Communication was clear and easy and check in/check out was a breeze. Lisa and her partner were so welcoming and were happy to show us around the property. We even got to meet some adorable ducklings! I’m excited to see their farm and campsites grow and evolve over future visits :)

Overview
About
Straddling the banks of the Upper Deschutes and Fall rivers, LaPine State Park offers easy access to outdoor recreation no matter the season. It's popular for hiking, fishing, and floating in the summertime, while winter activities include snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. The park is home to the largest ponderosa pine in Oregon, which measures around 162 feet in height and has a circumference of 326 inches. The pet-friendly LaPine Campground is well equipped with a mix of full hookup sites, electrical sites with water, and log cabins, some with deluxe features such as TVs and microwaves.
Tips for snagging a campsite
- Cabins and campsites are released for reservation at 6am daily, six months in advance, and are available for reservation up to one day in advance. Reservations can be made online using the Oregon State Parks reservation system or over the phone.
- Same-day reservations are sometimes available on a first-come, first-served basis. Arrive early in the morning for the best chances of securing a spot.
- Campsites in the North and Middle Loops are closed from October through April. All but eight of the South Loop Campsites are available only on a first-come, first-served basis during that time.
When to go
LaPine State Park is open for camping and day use throughout the year, and it's at its most popular between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend. Because of its location in the high desert, temperatures can get quite hot at the peak of summer and dip dramatically during wintertime, but the area is generally dryer than elsewhere in Oregon. If you want to take advantage of pleasant weather without the summer vacation crowds, consider visiting in May, September, or October.
Know before you go
- Bans on open flames and fire pits are common at the park, particularly during the summer months, when the risk of forest fires is at its highest. During periods of extreme risk, bans on propane cooking stoves are also sometimes put into place.
- The closest spot to pick up supplies and groceries is the town of La Pine; the main drag where most shops are located is about 10 minutes away by car.
- Four of the campsites at the park and six of the cabins are ADA accessible. The campground also features accessible showers and flush toilets.

Grab a spot in the North loop, especially if you are in a tent. The sites there are larger with lots of trees for privacy. Plus this is the only loop without full hookups so there will be fewer noisy RVs.
