Rock and Tree, located in Perris, California, We are an open canvas event space.

Our motto is "Rock & Tree is meant to be explored not explained."  But I have to explain a little bit, but once you stay with us, go explore! We are an ideal venue/campground  for people seeking a quaint outdoor setting for their special day.  We have 8 campsites available up to 8 people per site. This sprawling 36-acre venue offers our guests gorgeous wildlife surroundings and is loaded with a plethora of beautiful outdoor shelters for guests to enjoy. During your stay, you are invited to camp in one of our 8 campsites. We have many different campsites to choose from, some more catered to fit campers and RVs, (no hookups) one with a hidden hang out spot, some closer to the venue and others far away.  *** Although we are on 36 acres, often times on the weekend evenings, our neighbors play music into the late evening, we've been told ear plugs are helpful :)

********************Rent Rock & Tree exclusively for one night with 30 guests! $850! ---------------Two Nights $1550 Message for details! *******************

My husband Anson Krekeler is a folk and blues musician and has travelled all around the U.S. playing his music and I was an aspiring Voice-Over actress. One day, we decided that we wanted to live the rest of our lives hosting live music, wedding and campers and that's how Rock & Tree began. As the idea grew, we wanted to create an Open Canvas so that the guest could dream up what they wanted on our stage. We moved to the Inland Empire from Santa Monica, in 2017 with the dream of building an open canvas event space out of sustainable, repurposed and natural materials. Our mission is help enrich the culture of Perris, CA by providing a unique venue that takes you away from the hustle and bustle and takes you to a wonderland of nature surrounded by rocks and eucalyptus trees.

A true passion project, Anson and I have built and continue to build everything ourselves, well..Anson does most of the heavy lifiting. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. We now live on the property in a 24ft camper and we feel so lucky that our dream is slowly becoming a reality.

During the beginning of Covid, we transitioned into primarily a campground adding more campsites outside the venue, spaced apart from each other to allow for social distancing. The venue is the shared space and the 8 campsites surround it.  When you camp, we will make sure to give you your privacy and you will have access to the whole venue. We also like hanging out and getting to know the campers so if you want have a drink with us, just shoot us a text.  We have fun outdoor games like the giant slingshot, basketball hoop, corn hole, and giant jenga.  At night you will be surrounded by solar lights, imagine you are in a fairy wonderland! Check out our Instagram page to learn more about us @rockandtreeperris.

We have a communal BBQ and propane firepit on site, first come first serve, an additional $8 to cover the propane.

Upon arrival, Please message me when you are about 10 minutes away. I will meet you at the outside gate and teach you how to open and close it so that you can come and go as you please. Check in is between 1:30pm and 5pm, this gives our campers time to check out and us to clean in between arrivals. We prefer you checking in while it is still light outside. If you need to make any earlier or later arrangements please reach out to coordinate. Please be courteous of your fellow campers.

A couple of "house rules" :

The gate needs to stay closed. My husband and our dogs Sprout and Blue are around. Blue, is very friendly and he may show up and say hello. If he bothers you, just contact me and I'll come get him.  I work from home so if you need anything just let me know.

We ask that all amplified music is turned down by 10pm. We will leave the solar lights on over night so it won't be pitch black.  Music at your tent is totally fine and if you bring an instrument and feel like jamming, my husband and I both play guitar :)

COVID-19: Masks are options, just be considerate and respectful of your fellow campers. We have sinks, cleaning material and hand sanitizer available. . After Porta Potty use, please wipe down and remember to wash your hands for 20 seconds. We are doing everything on our part to keep the venue clean and safe for all guests.  If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Suggestions on things to bring:

It does get cold at night, bring a sweater and warm blankets.

Cooler with ice and plenty of water to keep hydrated.

Glass bottles so you can recycle and paint them when you are here :)

Camping stove if you don't want to use our BBQ.

Stakes to secure tents down (it can get windy around 5pm)

Ear plugs - the surrounding neighborhood have roosters, coyotes in the hills and sometimes neighbors play music and set off fireworks.

Sunscreen, hat.

Sweater for the evenings.

Solar lights for your tent. / Flash Light

Closed toed shoes to walk around, climb rocks.

Blankets to lay out.

Glowsticks are fun at night.

Trash bags.

What to Do near by: The venue is near Lake Perris, Lake Elsinore, Skydive Perris, and Temecula wineries, March Air Force Base/ Museum. Often times it can be very hot, we recommend heading to the Lakes for the day to keep cool :)

OPEN MIC - we host an open mic the First Sunday of every month. It's open to the community, where we have musicians perform on our stage from 5 - 8pm. We do allow camping when we host Open Mic.

We are so excited to share our campground with you! If you have any questions please contact me directly! We look forward to meeting you!

xoxo

Taryn was a lovely host and made our stay super comfortable as novice campers. We spoke before our last minute trip there and I felt confident that we were in good hands. The place felt very safe and it was charming! We set up our tent right next to the star-gazing boat, which we loved. There are cute little areas around the land - games, places to sit. Really nice. All my daughter wanted was s'mores and Taryn was great to make it happen so our trip was complete. The porta-potty was really clean and that's always one thing I worry about. I would definitely go again, but I would go on a weekday next time or bring ear plugs. It got pretty loud with music from the neighbors, which we were forewarned about but it was loud. Expect cockerels and dogs barking in the early morning too. My daughter had no problem sleeping through the night though. If you plan to stay up all night and the music doesn't matter, it's the perfect place.

Rock and Tree was incredibly amazing! So much to do and see, so little time. Taryn and Anson were so welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure that my guests and I had everything we needed. They were so kind, welcoming, and just overall fantastic hosts. 1000 out of 10 would recommend.
Their doggos, Sprout and Bleu were so sweet and loving too. Loved having them around. We plan to come back to Rock and Tree sometime soon!
