You will only share it with the wildlife that includes numerous kangaroos that come in from the National Park in the evening to feed. The principal camping place (The Park) is situated next the park boundary and provides space for two tents or a tent and camper trailer. The rest of the camping is on “The Range”. Bush camping on 100 acres in the Tinderry Range at about 1400 metres altitude. Seclusion and adventure all within an hour of Canberra and twenty minutes from Michelago and the Monaro highway. Big skies and dark nights for star-gazing are likely; or perhaps you'll be nestled in cloud; or hidden by falling snow. There are numerous tracks with spectacular views around the property for bush walking or mountain bike riding. The tracks are surrounded by sub-alpine flora and fauna (such as wallaby's, wombats, lyrebirds) and nearby in the Tinderry Nature Reserve. Tinderry Range is a rugged range east of the Monaro highway accessed mostly through Michelago or an hour and a half from Braidwood (when dirt roads are reasonable). The range is only around 70km away from the coast, thus enabling a sea mist to often roll over us in the late afternoon. Summer temperatures are a pleasant 6 degrees or so cooler than nearby Canberra. You may choose between a number of options for camping depending on your camping desires and set up. There are numerous tracks around our property or nearby Tinderry Nature Reserve. You may go exploring to find the springs or choose to stick to easy walking tracks that follow the contours. We will provide a map. Tracks are also great for mountain bike riding and exploring the unusual mix of sub-alpine, montane and coastal flora and fauna. There is numerous species of bird life and regular calls from lyre birds. This area has fascinating history with the largest eucalyptus distillery in Australia until the late 1950's and very popular with a number of bushrangers such as the Clarke Brothers who had numerous hideouts. No amenities. BYO camping toilet and leave no trace. Campfires (except on fire ban days or when we advise otherwise) are okay--usually recommended. Normally dry firewood is easy to find, or purchase some from us if you prefer. The exception is the bell tent glamping option,' Tin Can Ridge Glamping' which has a toilet included as well as firewood and shortly its own wood stove! Some campsites are best accessed by 4WD, or on foot. or gain access to the glamping tent with us escorting you. Camp lightly. No hunting. Do nothing illegal. Take all waste with you. Respect the land, the wildlife and people. Keep the peace. Enjoy.

Our campground is nestled amongst 200 acres of farm land where campers are welcome to stretch their legs and witness the beautiful views of the Tinderry Mountains from the hill tops. Along the way say hi to the cows and our beautiful Clydesdale. The Michelago General Store is only a hop skip jump away, where you can treat yourself to a barista made coffee, warm homemade meal or restock food supplies. The Petrol Station is also only 100m down the road. Camp fires are welcome within the fire pits, but please bring your own wood. All fires must be put out at night and before you leave. A portable camp toilet can be provided upon request. All we ask is that you respect and enjoy our farm as much as we do.

All campers must be completely self-contained, with their own camp toilet, and take all waste when they go. The original name of this property is Wooraba which is an aboriginal word for 'hidden' which describes it very well. Here, you will immerse yourself in the Australian bush and enjoy a truly peaceful retreat. Enjoy fantastic bushwalks amongst the native flora and fauna, or take your mountain bike to the high open hilly area to check out the expansive views. Or lay in some of the creek's rock pools and sunbathe. Whilst we can accept dogs, this absolutely must be discussed with us prior to booking. We are a working farm, with sheep, and it is important that any visiting pets do not hassle our sheep, and are kept on a lead at all times. Campfires are permitted in the designated fire pit when conditions allow and no local fire bans are in play.

We have several sites for 100% self-contained campers, where you'll be spoilt with spectacular views of the Tinderry Mountains, access to undulating walking trails, and the Namadgi National Park nearby. On clear nights, the stars here are spellbinding. We have many animals here too! View our placid Scottish Galloway cattle (currently with calves!) pat our friendly poddy Cody and grab a photo opportunity. We also have a beautiful horse Ali and her yearling colt diesel, just watch your fingers with him, gelded now but still thinks he’s a stallion. 5 fat Dorper sheep look like running rugs running around. A real country experience! An Angora goat and slashed tracks to access the beautiful 130 acres around the farm. The small village of Michelago is 5km from our property, has the fuel servo and a terrific General Store, which serves great burgers and milkshakes plus much more. 20mins to the town of Bredbo with its own pub is great for counter lunches and dinners. The Town of Cooma, the gateway to the Snowy mountains is a 40 min drive south. Also if you want to go camping with friends and introduce them to the great outdoors and they don’t have the gear ask about our hire service of all things needed to have a great camp, some are listed but more is always available to hire, just send me a message. As one of our many happy Hipcamp guests have said the photos don’t do the views justice, they are truely spectacular:) Thats all folks, our paradise is your paradise to enjoy.

Descendants of the original landowners still live in nearby Heritage listed Braidwood. We have 104 acres of beautiful and varied terrain with fabulous rolling views. During your stay enjoy our amazing bird life, kangaroos, wallabies, possibly echidnas, rosenburgs, wombats and even deer. Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time of your stay. This is the ideal location to just relax and enjoy nature at its finest. On a clear night the stars are amazing. We are only an hour from Canberra situated halfway between the picturesque towns of Braidwood and Bungendore, both within 20 mins away. Sorry, no pets.

We are excited to offer rustic accommodation on the farm, perfect for those wanting to enjoy the tranquillity of country life, a drink at the campfire, bush walks, fishing in our large fresh water dam or as a base to explore the Snowy Mountains. You have a choice of two shipping containers, both furnished with a double bed. As well as two campsites to pitch your own tent, on a flat grassy area near the converted shipping containers. A shared toilet and hot shower is located 80m from the accommodation. You will have access to drinking water if required. Please also note: - Arriving time is strictly between 2pm and no later than 8pm at night . - Checking out time is 12 pm. - The driveway from the highway to the site is a gravel road suitable for 2WD however please drive according to conditions - The site is located near the farm sheds, whilst we will respect your privacy you will be staying on a working farm consequently some movement and noise will not be avoidable between 8am and dark. - You are welcome to try your luck fishing in the dam or if you have a kayak and life jacket you can bring for a paddle, however please be aware that the unfenced dam is a drowning hazard for children. - We provide firewood at an extra cost of $20/bundle - As there is no council bin service available we ask that you take your rubbish with you. - Full telephone signal available for Telstra, however, any other provider is patchy. - Please note that there are farm dogs on the property, and no other pets are allowed.

This place is fantastic, peaceful and being a single site, fantastic if you want a getaway without the extra crowds of caravan parks or multi-site properties. The Hosts are very a friendly and good natured bunch, their chickens produce some really good eggs, so order yourself some of those, and the goats wandering around are harmless and fun to feed. I will be back!

Amazing camping experience, both for us and the kids who enjoyed the animals, darm tour, camp fire and fresh eggs. We even got to experience annual alpaca shearing. The landscape around the farm is really beautiful, it feels really remote but Canberra is only 15min drive. The toilets and the shower are good. Highly recommend it. We stayed 3 nights and had enough to explore in the area and on the farm.

Well, you leave home to go away from home (duh !) but when you experience the welcome and friendliness of Carly and Andrew at Swan Farm, you still feel at home !. Easy to find, friendly cows, great site, great views to the mountains and Jack and Diane will charm your socks off. The land itself ? - flat, big, easy to peg into and as the description says, be self-contained and take all your rubbish out.

Sez + myself had a wonderfull stay @ Pete's farm. We camped along Neringla Creek with plenty of shad and protection. The sound of the crek was very relaxing. Pete is a wonderful host allowing Sez to wonder about to paint and sketch. The Hipcamp is not far from Sydney for a very relaxing place to camp.

Flat site, quiet and we were the only ones there but felt safe. Didn't see the host which was new for us. Easy to find, good location not too far from the highway or Canberra. Shops 10-15 minutes away. No close potable water to fill caravan tanks so plan ahead and stop in Queanbeyan or elsewhere. We'd likely stay here again if passing through!

Another wonderful stay at Everlong! This was our second stay in just a few weeks, we choose the Moodong bend camp site this time round and it was a a beautiful little spot nice and secluded. We had a little creek out front of our camp for a dip and then drove over to the river to explore up and down stream with the canoes provided. Lots of wildlife to be seen including, many water dragons, wombats, goannas, wallabies, bass and endless amounts of different bird species! We even saw a very quick sighting of the resident platypus swim under our canoe! Anthony was an amazing host! Greeted on arrival and firewood delivered to your campsite. Friendly and inviting. We will be back again!
