It has been a few years since we stopped hosting campers at Samsons Gully, but we're back and looking forward to meeting new and old friends.
Samsons Gully is a working cattle farm nestled in a stunning private valley. If you are after peace and tranquillity this is where you will find it.
We have a national park on one side of us, and the Cudgewa Creek flowing along our front boundary. The property is perfect for mountain biking, bushwalking, fishing or just plain relaxing.
The favourite camp site is on the banks of the Cudgewa Creek. However, there are plenty of places to camp in the bush for those wanting more seclusion.
Samsons Gully is a perfect base to explore the Upper Murray. 20 minutes away is Corryong where there is an IGA, service stations, dump point, Dr and hospital, pubs and cafes. 10 minutes away is the Cudgewa pub who do dinner Wednesday through to Sunday evenings.
Our property suits fully self contained campers only as there is not toilet or shower. Dogs and horses are welcome but must be well behaved and kept close to your camp site as this is a working cattle property.
Due to council regulations we can only open one site up at a time. This ensures that your time here will be exclusive, peaceful and private.

Bimbimbi is located at the free flowing, clear beginning of the Murray River, at Tintaldra. We have 5 separate sites. Each site is for a single group, so you know you will only have yourselves in close proximity. Each site has access to the river, although The Fishing Hole, River Red Gums and The Big Bend have better access than The Willows and The Old Pump Hole. Swimming, fishing for Murray Cod, hiking along the river bank (we have 3km of frontage), bird watching, relaxing are typical things to do here. Or, if you are more adventurous, borrow our canoes and do a down river trip, or go for a longer hike up Pine Mountain in the Pine Mountain National Park. Or, bring your mountain or road bikes and do some cycling on the picturesque roads and trails.
The campsites are well spaced out, with a minimum of 200 metres between the nearest two locations. In fact, it either impossible or very difficult to see anyone else at the other camp sites from your own camp site.
Each camp site is accessible via its own track, so you won't have other vehicles driving past your camp site. We have a Leave No Trace policy, please take all rubbish with you. (This also means not throwing bottles, cans, bottle tops, aluminium foil and other non-biodegradable items into the camp fire.) Dogs are allowed, but please keep them under control, particularly if near cattle. Campfires are allowed only in braziers provided, when fire bans are not in place. You can gather your own firewood or purchase firewood from us (see "Extras"). Please arrive before dark if you haven't been here before. It is difficult to understand a new camp site in the dark. We provide a toilet at each location, for your convenience and the cleanliness of the camp site in general. Nothing but your human deposit and toilet paper in the toilet please. No disposable wipes, nappies etc. Please put these in your trash. Also, bring your drone but use it only over locations that are not occupied.
We have canoes to borrow, seasonal produce is available from the garden and our own beef and local lamb is also now available. And, again, wood for purchase if you don't want to gather your own. Please see "Extras"

The Thowgla Hall is a community-run hall in the heart of the beautiful Thowgla Valley. Only 5km from Corryong, its location is the perfect quiet camping spot to get away from the crowds in town during the Man From Snowy River Festival. We are also conveniently located very close to the reenactment site, so you can get up there early to grab the best seats.
The camping area is located in a beautiful, level paddock behind the hall, with a huge amount of space, scattered gumtrees, and stunning views.
You will have full use of our newly renovated full kitchen, toilets, baby change table, and hot showers. You're also welcome to use our picnic area and fire pit!
Please note, we allow one vehicle per site. If you are two groups traveling together (two caravans, two campers etc) we ask that you please make two separate bookings. Only one 'set up' is permitted per site.
We also have a two-night minimum stay requirement.
Well-behaved four-legged friends are welcome, please keep them within your site and clean up any little messes they may do :).

Our story starts in Far North Queensland, when a german backpacker, me :), met an Aussie fisherman, Craig.
To cut the long story short, after living together in Germany we decided to move back to Australia. We had a vision, trying to find our perfect place to live.
Starting out with a car, a camper trailer and two bags we travelled from North Queensland down to Tasmania. Looking for a place to live.
On our way through Tumbarumba everything started to unfold and we fell in love with our property. The feel, the experience and the climate. This was it! We've found our perfect place and finally named it "Creal's Rest" which has two meanings for us. Obviously from our name, but also from "creel" which
is a wicker basket usually used for carrying fish.
Escape the hustle bustle of life on our 10 acres alpaca life style farm which is nestled between beautiful hills and grazing properties on Walteela Road in Mannus (20 min drive to Tumbarumba). Walteela means "Place of Peace" and that is what you might be looking for. No traffic waking you. Listen to the sounds of nature instead...
Enjoy the peacefulness, local wildlife (kookaburras, echidnas, wombats, kangaroos, etc.), small creek, stunning mountain views and dark skies for star gazing. Birdwatchers... you'll love it!
Love fishing? Enjoy a chat with Craig, who has been a pro line fisherman for 18 years in the GBR! He loves to explore, show off the local fishing spots and a chat about all things fishing! Mannus Creek is only a couple of min drive away and Mannus Lake 15-20 min drive.
Hand feed our friendly alpacas, greet our pet chickens and find some eggs.
Ask us for some fresh herbs from our garden if you like cooking with a little extra flavour or use them to enjoy a herbal tea.
Heard of "Swedish Torch" yet? An amazing way of having a campfire, that burns for hours. Cook on it or just enjoy the beautiful mess free fire. Book ahead!

Our exclusive campsite is set in a beautiful 35 acre paddock on a sweeping bend of the Murray River not far from the spectacular Hume Dam. This campsite is reserved for one-booking only and is situated on our 2000 acre working beef cattle, lamb and merino wool property. The space is home to a diverse range of wildlife with over 100 species recorded on the property including wetland birds, platypus and the endangered squirrel glider. The farm has been run by the same family since 1919 and, as the 4th, 5th and 6th generations on the farm, we are honoured to be able to share this wondrous space with you! You will enjoy seclusion whilst only being a stones throw from Lake Hume and the major centres of Albury and Wodonga (approx 14 km). You'll have the ability to swim and fish in the cool Murray River water or just relax under the century old shady river red gums whilst reading a book or enjoying a drink.
There are countless attractions in the local area including the Rutherglen Wine area, historic Beechworth, alpine resorts and the high country of North-East Victoria, just to name a few. These are all within a day trip.

"The Orchard" is in the beautiful Kunama valley located 10 minutes from Batlow and 30 from the wonderful town of Tumbarumba.
Set your camp up in our small Cider Apple orchard over looking the dam and our beautiful 55 acre farm. Get close up to the camels (Houdini, Sadeek and Gobi), Check out our beautiful big highland steer called Jimmy, Roger the donkey always likes a bum scratch, and see the many other animals that live here at Crafty Cider & SMART Animal Sanctuary. Kick back and listen to the quiet around you, enjoy the sounds of the birds and farm animals. "The Orchard" is a beautiful peaceful 5 minute walk down a gravel road with big trees to our Cidery where you can taste and take back to camp some of our cider or sit and have a drink while watching the animals being fed. Maybe book a tour where Tony will show you how we make our cider from the orchard to the bottle and Lorene will show you the amazing animals. You can always jump on your bike and head out on one of the many tracks in the area.
You will need to be self sufficient and have your own toilet, water etc. There is no power in The Orchard. Due to people using the orchard as a toilet we are now no longer taking people tenting. You MUST be self sufficient.
Head in Batlow to check out the bakery, RSL and Pub and admire the beauty of this small town. Or head upto Tumbarumba where you can visit the Winerys and Ginnery, have lunch at Coroubya wines,The Nest or one of the many cafes. Maybe take the challange of the Tumbarumba rail trail. Check out the water falls, the blowering dam and take in those beautiful mountain views.

Our 25 acre Hipcamp area is located safely within our 300 acre property which enjoys approximately 5 kilometres of pristine and private Murray River frontage in the beautiful rural city of Albury. Willowbank is a fourth generation cattle farm and when you arrive at Willowbank you will feel like you are a million miles away from anywhere but you are only 2.8km from the centre of Albury and 2.9km to Wodonga from our sites .
We are less than 5 minutes away from the beautiful South Albury cafe and boutique shopping precinct; Ebden and Olive, Nannina's, Meraki, Platform 9, South Albury Take Away, Di Billet, Almar Organics, Sukor Wellness and Recovery, The Red Devil Brewery, Tucker on Townsend, Chic to Chic and more. We are also only 3.5km from Harris Farm Markets. Albury's public Dump Point at Albury Railway Station is less than 5 minutes away.
Each of our camping sites is well away from each of the others and there is plenty of room at each site for children to play. The three best sites for swimming are The Crossing, The River Bend and The Willows . We encourage the use of life jackets for children in the water at all time.
We have no toilet or shower facilities at any of our sites so you are required to bring your own toilet with you. All waste must be removed at the end of your visit. With notice, we can arrange portaloo hire should you need, please enquire with us prior to booking.
We have no access to drinking water and if you decide to use river water for drinking we do recommend that you boil the water.
Swimming, floating, paddling in the Murray River is a sublime pastime. Please be aware though, that the Murray River has a very fast and strong current. Looking to hire a canoe, we recommend you contact Dave/ Murray River Canoe Hire (0417 691 339) for a canoe to paddle around your campsite or to do a beautiful canoe trip on the Murray River from Doctor's Point to Noreuil Park. It will take a few hours and yes you will go past your camp site!

These beautiful towns contain an array of boutique wineries, craft breweries, bakeries and cafes, or you can choose to follow a farm gate food trail.The area also provides opportunities to go horse-riding, bike riding on one of the many rail trails or be adventurous on the mountain bike tracks at Falls Creek in the warmer months with snow sports in winter. The surrounding mountain ranges offer numerous famous 4wd trails or you might like to try your hand at panning for gold.This is a working farm and our animals are our family. They are very friendly but only know us and not you so please do not enter their homes without us, but feel free to talk to them over the gates. Be aware that all fences are electric and are switched on at all times. There is a dedicated communal campfire area for use when fire restrictions permit and we request that no additional fire pits are created during your stay. As this is a working property we are unable to accommodate your pets. For biosecurity reasons there is a strict No Pet policy. Endor is home to a large variation of wildlife including the endangered Greater Glider and other Squirrel Glider species. Wombats roam at night along with kangaroo, wallaby and deer migrating when in season. Powerful Owls, Gang Gang and many species from the parrot family are a spectacular sight along with morning and Twighlight Finch performances.
Endor is a primitive camp site with cabin style accommodation. There are two bunkers which are set 25m apart and each bunker can accommodate 2 people Max. Basic single bed set up with basic linen however it is required that you bring your own temperature rated sleeping bag for seasonal Camps in winter and shoulder periods. The weather can change very quickly, and temperatures can drop to below zero with snow in Winter.
Campfires are allowed during the winter season and each bunker has a fire pit.
Our aim is to provide a comfortable bed in an alpine off grid setting for those who seek an experience in nature.
Located on Batlow Road you will experience some road traffic noise and log truck activity during peak hours in the morning and afternoon. A small reminder that you are still close to civilization.

Our campground is 5 km from the centre of Yackandandah, which can also be reached via the Osbournes Flat section of the rail trail, by bike or on foot.
Take your pick of the area, as there are no fixed sites. There is plenty of sun for your solar panels to charge the batteries and, weather permitting, fire pits are welcome.
The whole property is 10 acres, with the camping area being around 2.5 acres.

Within the 400 acre property, you will find it home to many wild animals, including kangaroos, wombats, platypus, possums and a range of birds. The main fish in the river are trout and cod, so if you’re a keen fishermen, this is the place for you!
The beautiful town of Mitta Mitta is only a five minute drive, offering the renowned Mitta Pub, Paddy’s Reserve swimming hole and playground, and an abundance of walking trails. The Mitta Brewery is only a three minute drive, offering beautiful views of Mount Bogong from their premises. Dartmouth and the largest man-made dam in the southern hemisphere, Dartmouth Dam, are only a 15 minute drive. The town of Eskdale is also only a 10 minute drive.
We offer six sites on the property. Site 1 is our most popular, as it offers a touch of glamping, as it is our only site to offer a permanent caravan for your use. The caravan is unpowered, but includes a double bed, kettle, gas cooker, water source availability and battery powered lights. Surrounding the caravan is a very large area for additional caravans, vehicles and tents, so it can be still be used as a self-sufficient site.
The other five sites are all open spaces on the river front with ample space for multiple vehicles, caravans, tents and camping equipment.
There are dedicated campfire areas for use along the river, and fire wood will be supplied for your convenience. We welcome your pets as your guests and encourage them to explore the beautiful nature of the Mitta Valley.

We set up our caravan with ease, the hardest decision was which view to choose from. Lovely birds to see while they steal apples from the orchard, and gorgeous cows and camels near the camp sites. A handy campfire was set up and Tony and Lorene generously provided some wood for us. Their Crafty cider shop was a lovely treat.

A lovely private spot on their Orchard. The camels would come for a visit and a feed! We had some firewood dropped off which was a lovely gesture. Beautiful clear skies at night. Plenty of room for the kids to play!

Lovely place to stay.
Nice view from the hills.
Very clean and well kept grassed area, easy to setup and enjoy.
Very friendly hosts with the most gorgeous German Shepard.
We definitely recommend and would not think twice to comeback.
Thanks for sharing the place!

Very peaceful and relaxing. Nice clean well kept site. Plenty bird life, and friendly camels in an adjacent paddock. Great spot for exploring the area, including Batlow, Tumut and Tumbarumba. Highly recommended.

Loved our stay here! Such a quiet, peaceful spot with plenty of room for the kids to run around and ride their bikes. The friendly farm animals were a big hit, and the cider cellar door was a nice bonus for the adults. Great location for exploring Pilot Hill and Buddong Falls. We’ll definitely be back!

Highly recommend. This was an excellent spot to set up camp for a few nights. Peaceful setting with lots to see and do in the area. The kids enjoyed meeting all the animals, and we loved the cider.

We camped at the orchard for 5 nights and absolutely loved our time there. It was quiet, peaceful and picturesque - we couldn't ask for more! There were also cows, horses and camels which was a nice bonus. On one of the days we took a tour of the cider factory, and enjoyed a cider tasting whilst chatting with Tony, who was friendly and interesting to talk to. It was a short drive into Batlow where we there is a supermarket. We would definitely stay there again!

To have the entire site to ourselves or even the possibility to add loved ones to our stay was fantastic, it’s not everyday that you are surrounded by apple trees and a large array of animals like camels and highland cows and so forth. The grounds were well kept and access was very easy with. Tony and Lorene we will most definitely stay there again actually planning on inviting some family next time. Thank you and see you in the new year.

What a beautiful spot. The kids loved watching the animals in their paddocks and having a good chat to the cows in the morning.
Watching the stars was a true experience with no light noise.

Incredible views!
Amazing views and a fabulous walk to the lookout. Only for the fit though...it is very steep and rocky. Well worth it though, the whole experience was awesome.
