Some of the activities available include fishing, swimming, bush walking, hunting and bike riding. Within the 400 acre property, you will find it home to many wild animals, including kangaroos, wombats, platypus, possums and a range of birds. The main fish in the river are trout and cod, so if you’re a keen fishermen this is the place for you!
The beautiful town of Mitta Mitta is only a five minute drive, offering the renowned Mitta Pub, Paddy’s Reserve swimming hole and playground, and an abundance of walking trails. The Mitta Brewery is only a three minute drive, offering beautiful views of Mount Bogong from their premises. Dartmouth and the largest man-made dam in the southern hemisphere, the Dartmouth Dam, are only a 15 minute drive. The town of Eskdale is also only a 10 minute drive.
We offer six sites on the property, and we also have a beautiful 4-bedroom homestead located on the property available to book through Airbnb.
Site 1 is our most popular, as it offers a touch of glamping, as it is our only site to offer a permanent caravan for your use. The caravan is unpowered, but includes a double bed, kettle, gas cooker, water source availability and battery powered lights. Surrounding the caravan is a very large area for additional caravans, vehicles and tents, so it can be still be used as a self-sufficient site.
The other five sites are all open spaces on the river front with ample space for multiple vehicles, caravans, tents and camping equipment.
There are dedicated campfire areas for use along the river, and firewood can be purchased on site with cash - approximately $25 per wheelbarrow load. Please let us know prior to arrival if you'd like any.
We welcome your pets as your guests however please be mindful there may be cattle in surrounding paddocks and dogs at other sites.
