A quick 15 minute drive into Picton where you can find our local club and shops. Short drive to Nattai lookout overlooking Warragamba water catchment. Spectacular view. Also Thirlmere Lakes. Nearby Camden township restaurants, cafes, pool, bike track along Nepean River and more. We are located approximately 1 hour from Sydney airport so a day in the city is not out of the question. Shopping malls a short distance away. We have 4 horses, two dams, nice outlook, Clean tank water is available and picnic table can be provided. Please note we can no longer offer bathroom facilities. As we have horses, dogs must be on a leash. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit.

Located just one hour from Sydney, our property features 19 acres of pure serenity with two dams and one large enough to kayak on (kayaks supplied). The back of the property is perfect for camping and suitable for a small to medium caravan/camper. The larger dam has a picnic area and kayaks available to paddle on. Adjoining our property is Nattai National Park with a lovely 20 minute walk down to Little River. The Aqua Pool Trail in the National Park is just gorgeous. If you wish to try and catch some yabbies from the dams the only allowable and fun way is by a long stick and sausage. Hooks, fishing lines and traps are not allowed as we have people, dogs and horses swimming in the dams. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their shower/toilet set up. We do have two drop pit toilets available and each campsite has a pit fire provided. We are getting low on firewood so you will need to bring some along with you. There is access to drinking water. Our property is 2WD accessible and can accommodate small caravans and camper trailers. Not far from Buxton is Thirlmere where the Steam Train Museum is and train rides are available on the weekends, a great activity for the kids. Thirlmere Lakes National Park is perfect for a relaxing picnic, walk, birdwatching, and glimpse into locomotive history. Mittagong and Bowral have great wineries with restaurant/bistro. Pets are welcome. There's a range of different bushwalking trails in the region, including Starlights trail, a scenic bushwalk suited to experienced hikers, which forms part the Greater Blue Mountains trail network between Mittagong and Katoomba.

The owner, Bruce, grows giant pumpkins as well as other fruit and vegetables. The property is the last property in McCallums road so there is absolutely no passing traffic making for the most serene, peaceful stay. The property has various campsites to select from, each with its own fire pit, perfect for a quiet drink while the sun goes down and toasted marshmallows under the stars. Firewood is not provided so please bring your own. There’s plenty of room for mountain bike riding, and bushwalking with many beautiful walking trails. You will need to bring your own toilet, and all rubbish must be removed when you leave.

You will be a 10 minute drive from the beautiful Dharawal National Park which has wonderful swimming holes and bush walks. The site is 15 minutes drive from Campbelltown, which offers all amenities of a large metropolitan city.

There's the Gulf Creek nearby that you can get to by 4x4 or you can go fishing, bushwalking, swimming, bike riding or horse riding. We offer two camping areas, that have enough space for multiple groups. One is higher up with great views, and access for caravans and camper trailers and the like. The other camping area is down by the creek but really only accessible for those with a 4X4, swags, rooftop tents etc. Plenty of fallen timber you are welcome to collect for firewood. All campers need to be self-sufficient at this time as we don't currently offer toilet facilities.

Elouera Vale is a working farm located just outside Mittagong NSW. We breed and train camels for sale, especially into the Southern Highlands. Camels are excellent for weed control and co-grazing with cattle. 'Elouera Vale' also breeds Belted Galloway cattle, Dorper and Wiltipol sheep and donkeys. Our property covers over 140 acres, 80 acres cleared and pasture improved and the rest consisting of forest. The Chain O Ponds creek runs through the property and makes for a lovely walk. You will probably get to see kangaroo, wallaby, wombats, echidnas, koalas and lots of bird life. The lush green hills abound with walking and cycling trails. You can head to the spectacular Nattai Gorge via the Box Vale Mine walking track, an easy 4.4km circular walk that follows an old railway line through a tunnel to breath-taking views. Enjoy a picnic in the magnificent Lake Alexandra Reserve or hike up extinct volcanic peak Mount Gibraltar. The closest shops are approximately a 15 minute drive to the Mittagong Town Centre where you will find all the shops, cafes and restaurants for your needs. It is well worth a visit to ‘The Shaggy Cow’ cafe, one of our favourite foodie spots (don’t forget to mention Elouera Vale). While you're here please try the Cool Climate wines. The region’s rich soil and high altitude are ideal for cool-climate wine growing. Visit cellar doors in the hills and valleys around Mittagong, including Centennial Vineyards. Enjoy a pleasant wine tasting experience at Centennial (don’t forget to mention us). The Camel Cottage offers a luxe off-the-grid escape for couples just one hour from Sydney but feels like "miles from anywhere". The Gums Cottage is a fully contained, off-grid modern getaway, surrounded by the magnificent white gum trees that are its namesake. The serene setting and stylish interior of The Gums provides all the essentials for a picturesque and peaceful country escape. The White Gum Forest Retreat offers campsites nestled in a white gum forest, not far from a beautiful trickling creek. I checked in late with no issues. There wasn’t the Hip Camp sign but once I drove to the property Bruce was there to greet me. He was very kind and I had the choice of a few camp spots. I stopped over during a long drive.

Campsite by the river is such an unbelievable spot. The river is great for a swim. The campsites facilities are good and clean. The terrain on the way into the camp is pretty rough. I would recommend only going if you have an SUV.

What a wonderful place to stay, Mel was a fabulous host. So tranquil, directions were good but vague, we missed the turnoff so could do with a sign on the fence from the road possibly. Otherwise such a lovely spot, nice little creek flowing next to our site. Easy access with our 14ft caravan and Triton, also had a Hyundai i load with no dramas. Overall we would come again. Good access to Wattamola falls Beach, Thirroul etc.

Great location with lots of features. Both Dams are perfect for cooling off kids/dogs - both have really good access, and plenty of vegetation and shade. Sites are spaced-out well and directions provided were great. Highlight was the walk down to down to Little River, which was easy to find.

Great spot above the big dam. Spent the heatwave (41degrees) here and being able to swim in the dam or down at the river (10min walk) was perfect. Felt like we had it to ourselves despite 2 or 3 others being there. Loads of space. Also feels quite off grid but only a short drive to town to pick up any bits you need.

We had a great weekend staying at Dharawal Camp. The camp has plenty of flat ground for tents, easy parking for campervans, and a spacious cabin with running water, some basic supplies and a ping pong table to entertain little ones. Jinnga waterhold nearby was beautiful and really worth the walk. We also had the pleasure of learning about David's art practice with his add-on art lesson, and would highly recommend this to others.

Perfect place to relax and explore, looking out over an isolated part of the National Park on other side of the river, and nobody else around. River was low aa hasn't had rain for a long time, but still had deeper places for a dip and crystal clear water. Place is great for managing temperatures in mid summer as the site was in shade in early morning and the elevation kept it cool at night. Drop toilet and shower were a great to have too. Danny really helpful and friendly, and gave great instructions for how to find it. Will be back!

Lots of nice campsites spaced well apart. Clean and tidy property. Kayaks to use on the bigger dam. A very informative map of the site and a list of lots of things to do in the local area made me want to stay longer and explore. I will be back

We had a great time. Lovely dams and spacious grounds with well kept toilets. The little River walk with natural water pools and waterfall was devine! There was some night time dog howling (or was it dingos, hehe?) but I guess "wildlife" noises are part of the camping fun 😊.
