Situated near the Blue Mountains National Park, Avoca is home to 450 acres of rolling hills, natural wildlife and 360 degree views of Sydney City through to the edge of the Blue Mountains escarpment. Enjoy a stroll through trees, around the dams and across the meadows, wander up to the lookout to take in sunrise and sunset, the view will not disappoint.  A short drive gets you to Silverdale Village and Warragamba Dam, with Bents Basin, Mulgoa Nature Reserve and The Rock Lookout not that much further.  Avoca is home to Coromandel Agistment - a working Horse agistment property, so don't be worried if horses and riders or friendly dogs pop past and say hello.This site is set on one of the highest points in the Sydney basin with 270 degree panoramic views across Wollindilly with the City Skyline in the distance. This site certainly delivers the view (but can be exposed to the wind as a trade off). Enjoy a stroll over the 450acre property, through trees, around the dams, and across the meadows. Enjoy Star gazing at night, the city lit up. You may also encounter wombats or deer or kangaroos and the occasional horse rider passing by and our two very friendly dogs Ellie and Wilson. Guests will need to be fully self contained. Firewood must be bought with you. Campers are not permitted to chop/cut down any fire firewood on the property however should you wish to gather small sticks and kindling that has naturally dropped please feel free. This site is not suitable for parties or very loud music, you will kindly be asked to leave if this is the case. **Regarding our popular Overlooking Dam Site - I regret to inform you that I have made the decision to close this location due to ongoing issues with guests disregarding the rules, including cutting branches and trees for firewood. These actions have negatively impacted the experience for my family and for other visitors. If you are a regular Hipcamper at this site, please feel free to contact me directly. In some cases, I may be able to make the site available for you to book. Thank you, Elizabeth

This site is set on one of the highest points in the Sydney basin with 270 degree panoramic views across Wollindilly with the City Skyline in the distance. Just so amazingly private without other campers although horse riders do come through. So wonderful to relax there for a weekend.

What a great place! We had a wonderful stay at Avoca @ Coromandel Agistment. Stunning views of the city skyline, and the campsite was very well maintained with a great fire pit that made our evenings so enjoyable. The peaceful surroundings, the sound of bell birds, and being so close to both Penrith and the Blue Mountains if you want to venture out added for the perfect weekend escape. Thank you Elizabeth for opening your property for us to relax and enjoy we will definitely be back!

Overlooking Dam Site
Last weekend my husband and I went camping at a farm we found through the Hipcamp app. It was such a lovely and cozy spot by the lake. There were little lamps hanging from the trees near the fireplace, which made the place feel so warm and magical. We really enjoyed our time there and will definitely be going back again!

Such a great spot. Nice and quiet and an amazing view of Sydney and even the Harbour Bridge! A really beautiful place to stay and would definitely come back again.

We loved camping at Elizabeth's property. The site was well maintained and the instructions were easy to follow. The site had plenty of privacy and it felt like a proper bush camp. We can't wait to go back.

What a beautiful location, it is hard to believe that such an amazing place exists on the outskirts of Sydney. Absolutely stunning and peaceful. Will definitely be back soon.

Very large area all to yourself. Lots of trees. The waterhole wasn't fit for swimming as the water was low and murky at the time. We enjoyed going up to the lookout and say hello to the horses. Not many mosquito's surprisingly, inly when it gets dark. The fire pit area is pretty epic although the fairylights don't work anymore. We were very glad to have fou d thos place only 1h away from our homes, even though it's on higher end in terms of price

I personally like hipcamping in places with few sites, lets say 1 or two sites max that I can use a night in meditation... This was the best ever place for mediation, seeing the moon, being on a hill, nice wind no insects, I know it was also about the timing and the good weather but all together it was very nice for me. I just would like to suggest have firewood with you, or you`ll have to walk around get a bit a walk away from the site. Elizabeth answered my message even it was late night that I appreciated most. :)

We loved camping at Elizabeth's property. The views were amazing and the camp site was well kept, instructions were easy to follow and Elizabeth was great to communicate with and very accommodating. We can't wait to come back, 11/10.

An absolutely magical site. The dam was great to refresh in and the fire pit was really well done with solar panneled laterns to make the night feel cosy! Highly reccomend this spot and will be a regular re-visiter! Thank you

The site was amazing! It's really big so there's plenty of open space to spread out as well as lots of shade and the dam for a quick dip to cool off. The overall property is huge and the host has created a path around and through it - I can't recommend enough walking around or jumping in your car and driving that path at dusk - we saw kangaroos, deer, rabbits, possums and an eagle, on top of heaps and heaps of friendly horses on the property!! And there's also a look-out that has Sydney skyline views in the distance and is the perfect place to watch the surise. In terms of location, it's perfect - so close to Sydney so the drive is easy, but you still very much feel like you're deep in the bush and right next to the blue mountains national park for day trips. Can't recommend highly enough. Thanks Elizabeth and team!

Great spot! Clear directions to get to the site, and Elizabeth was friendly and helpful to communicate with. Luckily, we were able to have a fire, an awesome little fire pit is on the property. It was too cloudy to see the sunset for the weekend, but we'll definitely come back to see it.

Up there with the best hip camp spots we have been to. Nice spot, with plenty of room. A bit of wood was left out for us and they have a table and a nice little fire spot with sand around it. Saw some Roos and plenty of birds singing. Her two dogs came to say hi, a beautiful little jet-black cocker that was full of life and played with our pup for a few minutes and let us give her belly rubs. Sadly despite my many tries in patting the English pointer, he did not let me pat him, he probably thought I was being too needy. :'( Hopefully be back soon.

Great camping, in an amazing group of large shady trees. Feels very secluded and tranquil. Birds singing and frogs croaking! We were lucky to have a campfire (as there was no fire ban) and a full moon! Perfect for our family trip, we took a campervan and a tent. Would be suitable for much larger group . Friendly hosts who’s house you drive past about 1 km before the camping area. A friendly horse rider did pass by the camp in the morning, and we also saw kangaroos, kookaburra, waterbirds and even a couple of deer. Will definitely be coming again and bringing binoculars for birdwatching:)
