If your heart beats to the vibrant drum of the Southern Highlands but you want the space and freedom of camping on a river, then Wings of the Carribee is for you. Two campsites share 20 Acres of cottonwood trees on the Wingecarribee river. They are 250m apart and both on the riverfront giving you the seclusion you need while allowing you access to all that the Highlands have to offer. Bring your fishing rod and yabbie net, sit at the large picnic table, bring your kayak for a paddle and enjoy the half drum fire pit while watching the cows grazing across the river. If you are bringing dog(s) then consider Yabbie which is enclosed. Of course you will be tempted to explore the area. Wings sits directly between Bowral and Moss Vale (both are less than 5km away) so you can leave the camper and head into town to enjoy the old world charm of both towns. The Southern Highlands is ideal if you’re wanting to escape Sydney (100km) or Canberra (160km) without lengthy travel. Discover all that the area has to offer including a host of idyllic country towns, fascinating shops and regular country events. With it’s abundant wineries, award-winning restaurants, culinary delights, and natural splendor, it’s the place to unplug, find yourself and indulge in some of life’s finest pleasures. If birdlife is your thing then you are also in for a rare treat (eyes open for the resident wedgetail), but whatever you seek from your break, we look forward to hosting you.

Yabbie Corner
Private and Tranquil
What a beautiful and tranquil camping site, We highly recommend it! We especially loved the fact that it was fenced off, so it was perfect for our dogs. The gate was high but we travel with some plastic fencing so we were able to cover the bottom of the gate and it was perfect. the site is very long so they had a lot of room to run around. Vallance had great communication on messages and came over to greet us, and made sure we were happy with everything.

A real treat!!
Awesome find on the river, more than enough space for 2x camper trailers (2x seperate level areas) and 2x vehicles. Large table and couples bench swing an unexpected treat. Far enough from the hustle and bustle, yet close enough to all the local attractions of the Southern Highlands. Friendly host, great comms, easy directions. Highly recommended, we’ll be back.

Feel the Serenity
We were looking for a peaceful, secluded spot next to a river with a big enough area to fit a few tents, light and fire, that was easily accessible by 2wd vehicles and this spot ticked all those boxes. Vallance communicated very well whenever I had any questions in the lead up to our stay. The property is absolutely beautiful and just a short drive to Bowral if you need to stock up on supplies or grab coffee from any of the many cafes nearby. We will definitely be booking a stay here again in the future.

Beautiful and secluded
We had a lovely weekend stay on Vallance’s property. The campsite is very private and secluded, with a beautiful view of the river all to yourself. The site is completely flat and easily accessible with 2WD, and is not too long a drive from Sydney, making it a great spot for a weekend getaway. Vallance is a great host and is easily contactable. We will definitely be back again.
