Located just one hour from Sydney, our property features 19 acres of pure serenity with two dams and one large enough to kayak on (kayaks supplied). The back of the property is perfect for camping and suitable for a small to medium caravan/camper. The larger dam has a picnic area and kayaks available to paddle on. Adjoining our property is Nattai National Park with a lovely 20 minute walk down to Little River. The Aqua Pool Trail in the National Park is just gorgeous. If you wish to try and catch some yabbies from the dams the only allowable and fun way is by a long stick and sausage. Hooks, fishing lines and traps are not allowed as we have people, dogs and horses swimming in the dams. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their shower/toilet set up. We do have two drop pit toilets available and each campsite has a pit fire provided. We are getting low on firewood so you will need to bring some along with you. There is access to drinking water. Our property is 2WD accessible and can accommodate small caravans and camper trailers. Not far from Buxton is Thirlmere where the Steam Train Museum is and train rides are available on the weekends, a great activity for the kids. Thirlmere Lakes National Park is perfect for a relaxing picnic, walk, birdwatching, and glimpse into locomotive history. Mittagong and Bowral have great wineries with restaurant/bistro. Pets are welcome. There's a range of different bushwalking trails in the region, including Starlights trail, a scenic bushwalk suited to experienced hikers, which forms part the Greater Blue Mountains trail network between Mittagong and Katoomba.

This is an exclusive private camping area on the beautiful Blackheath Creek. The camping area has a fantastic shelter/camp kitchen with internal fireplace, wood fired stove, sink, running water & a preparation area together with a gas BBQ & large dining table with bench seats. There is hot water and an open air shower. A long drop toilet is located nearby. At night the shelter is lit by solar powered lights & the glow of the campfire. The shelter is accessible by 4WD. Welcome to this remote piece of paradise! Rhapsody is located in Gingkin,, which is not far from Oberon NSW, about 3 hours west of Sydney. Campsites are hidden in a remote valley direct frontage to the pristine Hollanders River, adjoining the Kanangra-Boyd National Park. There are two private campsites on grassy river flats surrounded by eucalyptus forest. The sites are very secluded so you will see lots of wildlife and you're guaranteed not to see any other people! Only one group can stay at each campsite and campsites are on different parts of the river so privacy is guaranteed. In dry conditions 2WD is fine for Wallaby flat but in wet weather, 4WD is required. Platypus flat is 4wd only. You can always park at the top of the hill and walk down first if you're not sure. Dog friendly. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Gather your own wood from fallen timber on the way in or BYO wood. Not much firewood available on site. Both campsites can get quite cool as they are low in the valley. This is a wild and remote area. Guided remote bushwalks also available for those who are fit and adventurous. Both campsites have a pit toilets, cold shower, spring water on tap, picnic tables.. Water is sourced from a distant spring in the mountain and is gravity fed to the site by above ground pipe which heats the water during the day. There is a small area where you can get Telstra mobile reception at the cattle grid on the way into the property, but very limited mobile reception in this area. If you are on Optus or other networks you won't get any reception. There is no mobile reception at camp - perfect for disconnecting and reconnecting with nature!

The Gulf is a 965-acre property situated near Wombeyan Caves in NSW. It's a fantastic property and wider region to explore, and enjoy an authentic Aussie bush camping experience. There's the Gulf Creek nearby that you can get to by 4x4 or you can go fishing, bushwalking, swimming, bike riding or horse riding. We offer two camping areas, that have enough space for multiple groups. One is higher up with great views, and access for caravans and camper trailers and the like. The other camping area is down by the creek but really only accessible for those with a 4X4, swags, rooftop tents etc. Plenty of fallen timber you are welcome to collect for firewood. All campers need to be self-sufficient at this time as we don't currently offer toilet facilities.

Was a great location for a night away camping with the kids. Easy directions, close to kid friendly stops on the way (like Helensburgh for supplies, park and lunch), excellent location - plenty of space, wonderful creek and sweet firepit. The kids loved playing in the creek, riding bikes down the hill to the campsite and checking out the wildlife (a friendly kangaroo paid us a visit in the morning). Won't lie there is some traffic noise but the occasional trucks braking is actually well drowned out by the running creek! Thank you for having us :)

I had a fantastic stay here. The site was peaceful, clean, and beautifully set in nature. It was a great place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the surroundings. The host was welcoming, friendly and helpful, and everything was easy and well organised. Great facilities, including a swimming pool. Would happily stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, enjoyable camping spot with decent facilities.

Really beautiful spot. Peaceful and quiet, it was great to go for a little walk and see the space open up over the dam and across the range. Even with a bit of rain and the cloud cover it was a lovely spot to go to recharge away from everything. The clouds cleared up a bit at the start of the night and it was great to see the stars with no light pollution. Definitely recommend, regardless of weather, it's a camp worth going to.

Phill is super friendly and responsive — great host. Thank you for a wonderful time at Jila! First time at Jila Campground and definitely not the last. We stayed two nights (Feb 2026) — the grounds were clean, facilities were ample, and the natural bush setting is stunning. The highlight is easy access to the Grose River — absolutely beautiful. Sites aren’t all perfectly flat, but that’s part of the charm — it’s nature as intended. Choose a spot that suits your setup and plan ahead. Plenty of firepits. Firewood was $20 per bag from a ute onsite, or you can forage (bring a handsaw/hatchet; chainsaws aren’t allowed). Flushing toilets — simple but functional. A blessing nonetheless! Wash-up sink near the main campground (down from the glamping area). We brought our own potable water supply (20L jerry can - lasted 3 days for 3 families); each family brought their supply of drinking water separately. Kayaks available for a gold coin donation supporting Beyond Blue — get in early or you'll miss out! Grose River is shallow for the most part, making it extremely kid friendly. There are arrows pointing to entry. Soft sands - some areas have stones as expected. Central bins provided. Access road is steep, clay-based and unsealed. 4WD or AWD recommended; plan load carefully if driving FWD or RWD. Check the forecast, plan and have contingencies. Mobile and Internet - intermittent availability for Telstra and no service for Optus and Vodafone from our experience this weekend.

This campsite was very clean and comfortable, and the privacy was perfectly maintained. It was a wonderful experience. The road to the site was a bit gravelly, but it was still accessible with a 2WD vehicle.
