Expect to see amazing colours at sunrise and sunset.
Enjoy the many birds and animals that you will see as you spend time exploring our bush and farm. This 660m2 property backs onto the dog friendly Toogoom Beach. On low tide there is Km's of beach for you and your little ones to explore. Play with the soldier crabs and go searching for the prettiest shells. Dont forget to watch the sun rise over the ocean from the picnic table with your morning beverage of choice.
If you prefer to skip sunrise you can always start your day by preparing some dough for a pizza night with the family. The outdoor patio is equipped with a TV to watch the footy on while you fire up the pizza oven. Giving you the freedom to create all the pizza combos you wished dominos had.
Even though it is a shed it has all the basic ammenties any place has. The only difference is the ceiling looks a bit different. Fully equipped kitchen is stocked with all of the things you'd need to cook a sunday roast or even a microwave meal if you'd prefer. Complimentary coffee and tea for those that need it. The bathroom has a large shower with a gas hot water system. Its a dream for anyone who enjoys hot showers. Dual washing machine and dryer for those wet weather days that won't allow you to use the clothes line.
We can accomodate up to six guests. Bedroom one contains two single beds, a 40" smart Tv and USB charging outlets along with a small cuboard for clothes storage. Bedroom two which has been closed in utilising large wardrobes with hanging and shelf storage. This contains one queen size bed and a 40" smart TV along with USB charging outlets. We have added a sofa bed in the lounge room that is equivallent to a double bed. All beds linen has been provided to allow for a comfortable stay. All TVs have access to netflix as well for those much needed movie nights.
The yard is fully fenced with plenty of space for your boat or jet skis. Public boat ramp is only 2.5km's from the property giving you access to the fish the nearby reefs and fraser island. There is a hose long enough to flush out your gear and give the boat a quick hose down when you finally decide to come back to land.
Fraser island sealink ferry is only a 35 minutes drive away to make a day trip to one of the largest sand islands in the world. Hervey bay Wetside Water Park is also only a 20 minute drive away and is a perfect way to keep the kids happy and entertained. Swim with the turtles at Reef world Aquirium or go for a wander down the Urangan peer. FInish up the day with some dinner at the Hervey Bay boat club with a beer or wine in hand.
If you have missed any essentials or you're craving a crumb sausage the Toogoom convenience store is only 800m down the road along with the pharmacy. Local restaurants are near the boat ramp for a night free of cooking and clean up duties. Throw a rod in at the jetty while you're waiting for breakfast at Goodys.

You may be moved to a different site if your chosen site is too wet. We use Good Riddance products for the midges & mozzies during summer because it works, its non toxic + deet free. We have dry firewood (hardwood) available on the verandah for $15/15kg crate. There are plenty of sites to choose from.

We are building a productive, diverse permaculture farm incorporating a market garden, food forest and small volume egg production. Expect to see amazing colours at sunrise and sunset.
Enjoy the many birds and animals that you will see as you spend time exploring our bush and farm. There's the added bonus of a range of fresh, organically grown produce to be harvested daily at a small extra cost. You will love the peace and quiet of our block and the huge array of wildlife that choose to call our place home.
To preserve this tranquility, pets and rowdy groups are not suited to this camp site. You are welcome to camp in family and friendship groups. If camping in a group you can choose how closely to camp near each other. If not with a group you must be at least 20m away from other campers to respect their privacy.

There's nothing here but peace and quiet, spacious sites. The banks of the river are quite high and there is limited access into the water.
There are 2 boat ramps about 7 or 8 klms from the property.
Arrive between midday and 2pm if possible so you can set up your camp. Don't forget to bring your insect repellent as you are in the bush and beside the river.
We have also just built a shelter shed/camp kitchen have 1000 litre water pods.

This 660m2 property backs onto the dog friendly Toogoom Beach. On low tide there is Km's of beach for you and your little ones to explore. Play with the soldier crabs and go searching for the prettiest shells. Dont forget to watch the sun rise over the ocean from the picnic table with your morning beverage of choice.
If you prefer to skip sunrise you can always start your day by preparing some dough for a pizza night with the family. The outdoor patio is equipped with a TV to watch the footy on while you fire up the pizza oven. Giving you the freedom to create all the pizza combos you wished dominos had.
Even though it is a shed it has all the basic ammenties any place has. The only difference is the ceiling looks a bit different. Fully equipped kitchen is stocked with all of the things you'd need to cook a sunday roast or even a microwave meal if you'd prefer. Complimentary coffee and tea for those that need it. The bathroom has a large shower with a gas hot water system. Its a dream for anyone who enjoys hot showers. Dual washing machine and dryer for those wet weather days that won't allow you to use the clothes line.
We can accomodate up to six guests. Bedroom one contains two single beds, a 40" smart Tv and USB charging outlets along with a small cuboard for clothes storage. Bedroom two which has been closed in utilising large wardrobes with hanging and shelf storage. This contains one queen size bed and a 40" smart TV along with USB charging outlets. We have added a sofa bed in the lounge room that is equivallent to a double bed. All beds linen has been provided to allow for a comfortable stay. All TVs have access to netflix as well for those much needed movie nights.
The yard is fully fenced with plenty of space for your boat or jet skis. Public boat ramp is only 2.5km's from the property giving you access to the fish the nearby reefs and fraser island. There is a hose long enough to flush out your gear and give the boat a quick hose down when you finally decide to come back to land.
Fraser island sealink ferry is only a 35 minutes drive away to make a day trip to one of the largest sand islands in the world. Hervey bay Wetside Water Park is also only a 20 minute drive away and is a perfect way to keep the kids happy and entertained. Swim with the turtles at Reef world Aquirium or go for a wander down the Urangan peer. FInish up the day with some dinner at the Hervey Bay boat club with a beer or wine in hand.
If you have missed any essentials or you're craving a crumb sausage the Toogoom convenience store is only 800m down the road along with the pharmacy. Had a wonderful visit! The camp spots were well kept and very relaxing. The farm had animals which were free roaming and made it extra social waking up to sheep just at our door step

There was plenty of room to have several campers and lots of space in between sites. I arrived after dark, was able to find a relatively level spot and remain hooked up (drive through). I was only there for an overnight stay during a long-haul trip I cannot really speak to a more long-term stay — it was nice and quiet and I felt safe as a single female traveller.

We had the most beautiful stay at Big Rocks Hip Camp for New Year's Eve. Peaceful, spacious and genuinely special, it’s one of those places that instantly helps you exhale.
The setting is beautiful – quiet and natural so you feel immersed in nature without feeling crowded. It was ideal for our kids, who had space to explore and just be kids, and equally perfect for our dogs, who were very much living their best lives. 🐕🌿
John and Lyn are the kind of hosts that make a great place exceptional – warm, welcoming, incredibly accommodating, and clearly passionate about sharing their little slice of the world. Nothing was too much trouble, and their care and thoughtfulness really showed.
If you’re looking for a calm, family- and dog-friendly escape that feels both restorative and memorable, Big Rocks Hip Camp is an absolute gem. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already planning our return. 💚

We went for just two days with my husband and had a wonderful time. The people were very friendly, the place was very well maintained, the bathrooms were clean, and the shower was very good with hot water. The New Year's Eve celebration was very good with an excellent live band.

The site was beautiful to set up for a day or two, without a boat or any water activity equipment I wouldn’t recommend more that 2 days in summer as it’s super hot so can get stuffy if you aren’t spending the days out on the water.
Make sure you bring bug spray with deet!
However owner was super helpful and does sell it on site with ice and firewood!
The facilities were super clean and well kept especially the showers and toilets (they are a bit of a walk from camp)
Some more info on the best route in would have been good but we managed to get in on the track beside the farm. We did however leave on the track though the national park to the town which was wayyyyy easier and a lot flatter.
Over all a lovely stay and would do again maybe try it out in winter for a few days!

I loved tent camping in the powered site at Susan River Homestead. My husband and I had a Fabulous time with our 11 year old son. The view from our site was just Beautiful and so relaxing! We had so much fun playing table tennis and shooting hoops in the games room. It was relaxing have an afternoon swim in the pool each afternoon to cool off.
I went for a horse ride … it had been years since I was on a horse! The Instructors we so kind and helpful. I rode Odin who was a big but gentle horse. I can’t speak high enough of these camp grounds! We will definately be back soon!

Awesome spot! Had a lovely time with the family, hosts have done an amazing job making their land family friendly including a playground. Flynns creek is closer to the showers which are hot and amazing! However a bit of a hill to get there. Also the Creek is a little bit of a walk from flynns camp so be prepared for that but Awesome spot for fishing and kayaking.

You will always tell how your stay is going to be with interactions with the hosts. John & Heidi are 2 of the nicest people you would meet and go out of their way to ensure your stay is perfect.
Great space, fantastic views and surrounded by an abundance of wildlife.
Had a bonfire night with pulled pork rolls, drinks with the hosts everyone of us treated like family. Farm eggs, veggies and fruit available, we will be back to ensure we will continue support them, our new go to spot near Hervey Bay.

Beautiful well maintained spot. Boat ramp for smaller boats. Toilets and showers clean. We had no trouble with sandflies due to windy weather but would definitely recommend coming prepared for them.

We like camping at Hidden Creek Farm! It is wonderful area to get away from city and go for a road trip. We enjoyed staying there! Area is clean, playground and the farm are beautiful and the dog that guided us to the camp is amazing 🤩 We also enjoyed playing with dog and walking around the farm. Thank you for hosting us and maintaining such a wonderful place to camp 🏕️ We will certainly comeback 😊
