An exclusive getaway, relax, unwind! Bring your swag, tent or van and your food and enjoy the fully equipped facilities. Perfect spot for star-gazing with the milky way illuminated on a dark night. Great view of the full moon rising too. Tranquil and serene. Situated on quiet road in a rural setting 5 minute drive to Lake Cootharaba/ Boreen Point. Noosa Heads is approximately 25 minutes and 20 minutes to Pomona. Tent site and RV/campervan site on grassed area with power and water available. Under cover parking for campervan or tent setup is an option alongside the living area and amenities. Facilities include equipped kitchen with large fridge/freezer, gas stove/oven, benchtop convection oven, kettle, toaster and all cooking utensils as well as plates, cutlery, glasses, etc. Bathroom with hot shower and a bathtub for parents with children. As we are on tank rainwater, we request that guests conserve water usage. Compost toilet is accessible up a few stairs. There is a laundry area with washing machine and tumble dryer for your convenience. There is wildlife around like kangaroos, wallabies, echidna and many bird species so no pets are permitted on the property. Fires are permitted in the designated Firepit provided. This has been a highlight for guests so far. For your convenience we have bags of firewood for you to use. A contribution for usage will be appreciated or bring your own. Guests are asked to respect the quiet environment. We’d appreciate no loud music or voices from 10pm to 7am. There is a neighbouring property behind the shed and our bedroom is within range! When you book you are booking the entire camp facility. It is yours to enjoy, relax, unwind, or catch up on some rest. Please advise ETA so we can greet you on arrival and show you to your campsite. It's best to arrive before sunset to select your camp spot and set up and to enjoy the sunset views! Private land with resident owners in main house situated approximately 100m from camp site. Owners maintain permaculture gardens for self sufficiency in fruit and vegetables. Mobile phone reception is patchy but internet via WiFi is available.

Biking and bush walking are popular with guests. Please note that the river bank is quite steep. We recently had 2 access tracks constructed to the river for easier KAYAK launching. Yabby catching - traps or meat on a string in the big lagoon Fossicking and panning for gold - in the Mary River. ACTIVITIES BY NEGOTIATION We can do led pony rides for kids/adults 20 mins Horseback walking tour of property for adult beginners/intermediate Bring your own horse and it can use the yards and have water provided for free - ride various close by segments of the national trail. Gallop over endless sandflats at Tuan on the Great Sandy Straights, see the brumbies on the pine forest trails. TRAIL BIKES - kids with no bigger than 50cc welcome but must ride in designated area under full parental supervision. For adults there are huge state forests next door with fantastic trails as will as the sand trails in the enormous pine forests close by. PARTY SHED - if you wish to have a bit of a party, band, get together etc we have a pretty groovy 100 year old shed for hire.

TerraLyra is situated on 55 acres of beautiful Fraser Coast Hinterland, surrounded by natural forests and land formations, and blessed with abundant wildlife. We offer 8 powered sites and 20 camp sites. Take a walk through the young forest up to the ridge amongst more mature gums and other native trees. Enjoy the Paperbark gum and Balga plant areas and find the hidden baby nature dam where you will be mesmerized by its beauty and serenity. We have been told that it is a great place for contemplation and meditation. Our large dam is home to fish and many native ducks, herons, swamp hens, cormorants, and more. Bird song trills through the forest daily, with flocks of wild parrots in the high trees. Occasionally, goannas and dragon lizards can be seen sunning themselves, and later in the day, wallabies and kangaroos can be seen making their move. Look out for the native brown and green frogs. Bring your kayak and paddle and swim in the large dam. There are great bike trails in the nearby Glenwood forest areas. We offer camping with a difference, providing a special place of rest and restoration with other optional extras, such as healings and readings onsite, alongside other activities like sky watch and fire ceremonies.
