Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided and there is plenty of firewood available. Please ensure there are no restrictions in place before lighting a fire. There is a basic camp kitchen, toilet's, camp shower and a bar setup down near the dam for your use, complete with lights, weber BBQ, microwave, 2 hot plates, a toaster, sandwich press and fridge/freezer. You can also hire out the entire property just for your group or special occasion - please see entire property listing. Convenient stopover between Byron bay and Airlie beach. Tent site on grassed area and RV/campervan site with power and water available on edge of forest adjacent to shed. Under cover parking for campervan is an option alongside the living area and amenities. Facilities include kitchen, bathroom with hot shower, compost toilet and a washing machine. Guests are asked to respect the quiet environment. When you book you are booking the entire camp facility, however the shed is used for machinery storage and the workshop for maintenance of equipment and tools so the owners will periodically be around the area. It is yours to enjoy, relax, unwind, or catch up on some rest. Please advise ETA so we can greet you on arrival and show you to your campsite. Private land with resident owners in main house situated approximately 100m from camp site. Owners maintain permaculture gardens for self sufficiency in fruit and vegetables. We are dog friendly and also wheelchair accessible in the Bush Kitchen and Wallaby Wash House. Bertha the Retro van and Gertrude the Gypsy Wagon are not wheelchair accessible. Mango Lodge is a totally wheelchair accessible timber cabin which has an outdoor bath. 24 hour security access to your own private campsite. Free wifi, hot showers, flushing toilets, fully equipped bush kitchen and laundry. We have a designated area for dog lovers called Dogs Corner. There is a lovely paddock for the dogs to take in the country atmosphere and located right next to the 40 acre nature reserve with 4kms of walking trails, what better way to Escape, Relax and Unwind. 69 species of birds have been identified on the property to date. We also provide dog minding services! Photo updates supplied. Cost is $50 per day (add to your booking). All you need to do is supply your dog bed and food. Recently our guests enjoyed a trip to Fraser Island and were very impressed with the service provided. So if you love your fur baby and you still want to have a holiday experience, just come and stay here and we can enhance your stay by giving your fur babies a holiday too.

Bring your kayak and paddle and swim in the large dam. There are great bike trails in the nearby Glenwood forest areas. The national trail runs along the river and is a great spot for walks or bike rides. We have a number of horse riding camps in the nearby area as well.We have fire drums available and well behaved pets are welcome. For adults there are huge state forests next door with fantastic trails as will as the sand trails in the enormous pine forests close by. There is a 4wd access road through to the mapleton national park for you to enjoy the hiking trails and nature. We want your camping experience at Cedar Banks to be delightful while respecting our local community, wildlife, and surroundings. To keep the area pristine, fires must be in allocated pits. You must bring your own wood or purchase some from us in advance and we will have it ready for you on arrival. Pets are welcome with prior approval, but they must follow property rules. Swimming is allowed only during daylight hours, and caution is advised due to natural creek conditions. Jumping or diving is prohibited. For the safety of all guests, property access is strictly for booked individuals, and non-paying visitors are not permitted. We encourage exploration on foot, as all areas are easily accessible. Please do not drive your vehicle around the property. As there are no on-site toilets, kindly bring your own camp toilet and ensure proper waste removal. You will find a free dump point at Eumundi RV stop over on Napier road or in Kenilworth at the Showgrounds. At Cedar Banks, we promote a friendly and respectful environment.
