Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended. Option 2: From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road. This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away. Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs, however, we CAN still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way. The road closure is another 10+ klms further down the road. Our 17-acre block is just a couple of minutes walk from Woodenbong, a small rural village in northern NSW, 2 hrs south of Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Being in the country we don't have access to all of the telecommunication providers that the majority of Australians have in the city and living on the coast. However, we are served by Telstra so if you have a Telstra account you can use your mobile phone, laptop, iPad here. We have access to a wi-fi - ask for the password (charges may apply). Our advice is to disconnect from the city and reconnect with the country. You can access the great outdoors - all of our paddocks and the Woodenbong Common. There are several food options locally for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you do not want to cook for yourself.

Janine was super friendly and accomodating. The place is beautiful, it has large flat sites and I think is a very reasonable price for power and water. Quiet mid week with just two other campers there. Trains do go past across the road through the night, but I just shut my window on that side and it didn't bother me.

The grounds are so well manicured, lush green grass for the kids and our dog to play on, we loved our adventures on the property, swimming in both the dams to cool off, then making use of the very well-appointed facilities, the hot showers were awesome. Shuttlebus available to our wonderful hippy village. There are curiosity shops with very different stuff, and a smoking culture. There is nowhere else anything like it. You can do Nimbin in a day. If you have time to relax and unwind, you can do it over two days, and enjoy the restaurants and cafes. I have local knowledge. There are lookouts with spectacular views. Here there's unusual fruit trees, a trampoline, and a basketball court if you want to shoot a few hoops, weights equipment, and a martial arts dojo if you are curious about learning some self defence. There's a flat parking area for RV's and tents. It's a relatively small space - not an acre of grass. So it's a semi social area, and it's possible to interact and relax in the undercover area. There's a fire place at night, and a Babakiuaera where you can get Wifi and play cards. I'm a qualified driving instructor, so i know about vehicles and safe driving practices. some folks love it here and come back. It's a relatively small space, not suitable for everyone.

Our renovated cabin is nestled in Pottsville at the back of our family home in a quiet suburban setting that backs onto a bush reserve and also a koala habitat. Less than two-minute drive (10-minute walk) from Mooball Creek and Black Rocks Beach, and less than a five-minute drive to the local shopping village. Kayak, SUP, surf or swim on the beach or creek, or stay close and enjoy our saltwater pool. We have fresh beach towels ready for your stay. Plenty of walking trails and bike tracks locally. We have a beachfront queen room and sofa bed in the lounge available in our family surf shack with direct beach access which is patrolled out the front in summer which means we can leave the Cocabana up all day as a beachroom. Park your camper/tent on the beachside of our carport, small-medium are ok. Power, water, laundry, kitchen, bathroom. Borrow our boards, fire up the BBQ, chill ocean-side. Moments away to our local cafe Bayroots & Salty Mangrove. Steps to the beach, bike trails, cafes, coastal bike rides on low tide to Brunswick Heads & Byron Bay. 10 min: horse rides, river swims, skydiving, kite/surfing.
