River run has an amazing variety of bird life due to the large body of fresh water and pristine habitat creating a great environment for spotting native animals including wallabies, echidna and platypus, which have been sighted at the boat ramp. We are pet friendly too as long as your animals remain on a leash and are under full supervision at all times. River Run is only a short drive away from lots of great experiences, Markets, Mural trail, horse riding, adventure activities, history, museums, Festivals, art and culture that are sure to inspire. Thursday is market day in Marybrough with live music, town tours, great food fruit and veggies. Book a horse riding adventure with Hucknall Horses only 10mins away or drive on up to Hervey Bay and go whale watching or day trip to the incredible Fraser Island or Rainbow Beach. 4wd in one of the many local forestry areas and see the brumby herds. Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. Sites three and four share a large open grassed area the flows down to the main lake that offers great swimming. Site five overlooks the lake and opens into a private bush area. All areas of the property are open to campers to walk through and explore. The farm comprises a series of ponds near the road that are in the process of being renovated for Red Claw Crayfish. There are fruit trees and veggie gardens and chooks around the house paddock. The balance of the land is either grazed by our small herd of cattle and our 2 donkeys or set aside for regeneration. Our pub toilets are open 24 hours as a courtesy. We also have a basic/spartan shower/toilet block for emergencies/back up. We have 6 toilets a Hot shower, our water is filtered, but not suitable for drinking, we advise you bring your own drinking water but we do also sell drinking water, insect repellent and mash mellows. There is also many quite and beautiful small towns to visit, or just sit back and enjoy a cup of coffee and the peace and quite. North Gympie, 17min to Mary Valley Rattler train station, 32min to Mothar Mountain Rock Pools, 35min to Tin Can Bay, 50min to Rainbow Beach, 60min to the Sunshine Coast. Get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and have your own spot along side the beautiful running creek and enjoy the peaceful surrounds of nature. Take a short walk up the creek branching west of the Mooloolah River to see some scenic rockpools and waterfalls in the cool of the rainforest canopy. Walking boots/shoes are highly recommended. There is plenty to do and see in the area including exploring nearby Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Gardeners Falls, Kondalilla National Park, Australia Zoo, indulge in a tasting at the Barrel at Clouds Vineyard opposite the front gate, stroll through Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World or take a short drive to some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. Please notify us if you are camping with other campers who have booked a separate site so we can have you camping beside each other During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings. All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding. Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek. We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres. We have 1km of creek frontage. The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them. It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots. There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle. This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower. Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits). The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure. Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation. The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more. We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section. Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

Due to new council regulations, we can no longer camp directly near the creek edges as we did before. Our campsites have now been relocated to higher ground, offering beautiful views of the creek. The creek entrances are accessible within 50 to 300 meters, depending on the path you choose. Unplug and unwind at our 22 acre camping paradise nestled amongst the rolling green hills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Listen to the babbling water sounds of Scrubby Creek and the Mary River that meandering through the perimeter of the property for over 1 kilometer. Stroll through our mini rainforest, paddle in the creek or have a dip in one of the many rock pools. We will even let you build as many rock towers as you like! Throw an inner tube in the creek and float around while the kids laugh and play all day long. Let the kids dig holes or fossick for the perfect skimming rocks, ride bikes or play endless games on the beautiful landscaped grass. Plenty of trees to put up that hammock or soak in the creek with views overlooking the wilderness. Sit back and gaze at the starlit skies while the kids roast yet another marshmallow on the campfire. Snuggle up during winter and cool down around the rainforest in summer. Abundant wildlife, lots of kangaroos and wallabies, koalas and beautiful birds everywhere. Please be aware that weekends are family times and do get busy with extra people. During the week it is very quiet and you could have the whole place to yourself. Sites are allocated on weekends based on numbers, if you are in caravans or tents and if you are camping with children. We have 12 large grassy sites nestled amongst trees located at the higher part of our property. Each site is large and can allow group bookings. Loads of space for tents, camper trailers, caravans or motorhomes. The camping sites are close together however there is loads of areas to set up along the creek during the day. Our property is located on the site of the First Kilkivan Township and was home to a gold rush in 1868 where a 73 oz nugget was discovered. Guests will have access to portable toilets and fire pit throughout their stay. Gold is still found in and around the creek with fossicking permitted at an extra daily rate of $25 per person. As this is private property we require that all the QLD Fossicking Act rules and regulations are followed this includes having your own permit which must be supplied before fossicking is permitted. These rules include no machinery or pump operated sluices such as high banking sluices. Detectors are welcome and some great finds have been found with them including gold and coins from the 1860’s. Large groups are welcome. There are many great shaded camping spots along the creek or a large open area of about 50 acres for larger groups. There is also a year round swimming hole fed by a solar bore on the property for anyone wanting to cool down. Kids under 12 are free but if fossicking must be covered by a permit. Pets are welcome. For any questions please ring Nev on zero double four double eight double two double zero nine. The property is located at the end of Cemetery Rd Kilkivan. If you google Kilkivan Cemetery it will get you there :) Drive through the iron gate at the end of the road just past the Cemetery on your left, veer right after coming through gate. Drive over the creek crossing and pick your spot. There are no designated spots, first in best dressed. Generators are welcome but must be switched off at night as not to disturb other campers.

Maya Nature Park has recently built amenities including two hot showers and two toilets for your convenience. We are located on 15-20 minutes from the popular Eumundi Markets, 40 minutes to Noosa beach and National Park and only 10 minutes from the popular Kenilorth bakery. Kenilorth also has a convenience store, pub and delicious pizzas as well as the beautiful Mary river. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times to protect our wildlife and cattle.

4WD Recommended - dirt/gravel road and two creek crossings (through the creek bed) to get here. We have a whole beautiful valley with crystal clear spring-fed creeks, patches of rain forest and hillsides covered in grass-trees backing onto Wrattens State Forest. There's 1,375 acres of land - the boundaries of our property are the ridges of the mountains that encircle us, and many rare species abound here. This is a dog and horse friendly property but no pets allowed in the cabin. There is paralysis tick in this region - so we'd recommend treating any animal before you come and frequent checks while you're here. No mobile phone coverage at the cabin, but there is a hill you can drive (or walk) up on the property to get phone signal if needed and we have a landline phone in our house which can be used in emergencies.

I absolutely loved camping at this property! Unfortunately the creek side spot we booked had been taken over by cows (guests didn’t shut one of the gates properly). We contacted John and Tenille and they were very quick with responding and letting us know we could go to another spot further up. We stayed at the Orchad which was just stunning. The views, the crystal clear river, the cows and the serenity were incredible. We will definitely be going back to this little slice of heaven.

The moment we reached the front gate, we could see the beautifully maintained grounds and knew this would be a great stay. Warren and Frank met us at the gate with big friendly smiles and became extremely accommodating hosts. They took us to our site which was huge and private. We were joined by our daughter’s family the next day and the 4 kids had a ball despite the somewhat inclement weather. They became explorers and cow whisperers! Having access to dams for swimming and the use of provided kayaks and paddle boards was fabulous. Bonus: onsite toilets and shower! We would thoroughly recommend this property now and especially with the future developments Warren is planning. Thanks guys. We’ll be back soon.

What a fabulous spot to camp for the night. It’s a secret little gem this farm and the animals were just beautiful. Cows, horses, kangaroos and a beautiful kingfisher eating fish from the creek in the morning kept us entertained as we cooked breakfast over the camp fire. It’s incredibly peaceful, safe, and so private. Perfect for older kids like my teen who loved it and my little dog who was well behaved and didn’t wander off. We had epic weather also and went for swims in the clear creek to freshen up. We will be back to this glorious property and feel so grateful for the opportunity to camp here. Thank you so much J&T.

Maluka Park is one of our favourites. Big mowed sites, good distance between other campers, all sites parallel to the creek. Toilet are a walk, but always clean. Love that they provide kayaks to go up and down the creek. It was Easter and still warm enough to swim. Make sure to do the forest walk - it is beautiful. Brian and Jenna are lovely. They don't sell firewood any more, so grab some for $15 on the road before you turn off (past Imbil). Perfect for kids who like space to ride around and play in the creek.

We had a great time. The creek is beautiful and teeming with wildlife lots of little shrimp and some very cool native freshwater fish. Campsites are mostly well shaded and cozy. The site we stayed at wasn’t secluded but not too busy great for the kids as they can meet other kids. Thea is absolutely lovely, very friendly and approachable. You can tell they really love to share their beautiful little slice of paradise. We will certainly be back!
