There is plenty to do and see in the area including exploring nearby Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Gardeners Falls, Kondalilla National Park, Australia Zoo, indulge in a tasting at the Barrel at Clouds Vineyard opposite the front gate, stroll through Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World or take a short drive to some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. Formally a banana & pineapple plantation, Hunchy Hills is strictly 4WD only access property. There is a toilet and gas hot shower included. If you have a camper trailer it needs to be off-road/high clearance and you need to be experienced towing in steep and tight off road conditions. No caravans or Hybrids, too steep and tight. Sites 1-3 are large level pads approx. 12M by 12M, each with their own fire pit and seat. Site 4 is perched on the side of the hill and 6M by 6M in size. Suitable for vehicle based campers/swags/small tents with a sense of adventure, max 2 people. We have a backup spot if access is too difficult. Go fishing at Baroon Pocket Dam and have a swim at Obi Obi Creek or Kondalilla Falls or Gardeners Falls. If you're after some saltwater it's a 30 min drive to most beaches on the coast.

Please be aware that there is a fishing ban on the Yabba Creek between the 1st of August and the 31st October every year. The backdrop is a large steep mountain that comes to the waters edge, which is where we created the name of our property "Yabba Ridge". We have a variety of animals which are behind high fences, and are very unique and spectacular to look at especially at feeding time where you can get a good look at them up close. With only 4 sites, we offer a spacious camping area, spread out all to enjoy the views of the mountain and creek. The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking. Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. We are 100% off grid with fresh drinkable borehole water The campsite has lovely green grass, access to the pool and a picnic table, and fire pit. Compost toilet, hot bush shower and rubbish/recycling facilities. We are a small hobby farm with Bee Hives, Dogs, Cats, Chickens (a few roosters) horses, cows and a couple of pet pigs. We are located between Noosaville and Eumundi., with beautiful Noosa and Coolum beaches only 15 mins drive away. The Tewantin ferry is only about 15/20mins for access to Noosa North Shore and Rainbow Beach (4WD for beach driving). The Eumundi Markets 10 mins drive. We have a few options to choose from, shady areas or open sunny areas overlooking the dams. All sites have easy access, will suit self-contained motorhomes/caravans and campers who have own amenities and leave no trace, We do have a dump point and also a couple of port-a-loos available if required. We also now have a couple of hot showers if needed. There are 3 dams on the property so children need to be supervised at all times. Well behaved/social pets are welcome, but to be kept on a leash. Closed season for fishing. Mary River Cod breeding season. Fishing resumes in October. The sites are level pastured camping areas with lovely trees providing good shade alongside the river. We have tried to preserve the natural ecosystem on the river bank so it is heavily wooded and largely untouched. The total area for camping is approximately 500 metres with only four sites spaced far apart to ensure plenty of space and privacy. Each site has very easy access to the river, via a couple of tracks. You can enjoy swimming and kayaking in the river. Fishing is welcome when permitted but must be catch and release only. There is plenty of wildlife to see, especially for bird watchers: kingfishers, parrots and birds of prey as well as platypus, air breathing lungfish and Mary River turtles. Access is 4WD or AWD only. In severe weather the Mary River can flood. Be prepared to leave in extreme weather. Campers must be self sufficient with their own camping toilet and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Well behaved pets are welcome. More often than not, you are welcome to stay the whole day of your departure. Just ask us, as mostly there will be no new campers coming after a weekend.

You drive through the grid and a peace descends as you take in the sights of this lush horse property. Situated in the Hinterland between Maleny and Kenilworth, the property is approx. 60 acres of timbered pasture, with the Mary River as the boundary. There is plenty of natural bushland and the river to explore or for quiet contemplation listening to the sounds of cows, sheep, goats and chickens in the distance for those who wish to spend a quieter time with us. Behind us is the Bellthorpe Range for 4WD, bushwalking, mountain biking, or riding your own horse. There's fishing under the Conondale Bridge, 10 minutes away and if you want to drive a little further north on your way to Kenilworth, there's a variety of State Forests and National Parks to enjoy. Kenilworth hosts quite a lot of festivals, including the Kenilworth Rodeo, so it's country living at it's best. In the opposite direction is Maleny, a trendy town, with lots of day visitors and coffee shops up and down the street. If you come in May, there's the Maleny Show and there's always historic places to visit along the escarpment with magnificent views down to the Coast. PLEASE NOTE: FISHING IS BANNED IN THE MARY RIVER FROM 1 AUGUST TO 1 NOVEMBER ANNUALLY AS THIS IS FISH BREEDING SEASON. We also have a policy of NO FISHING at all in our section of the river. We are trying to protect a school of cod and some turtles, to let them grow and thrive. We (and the fish) appreciate your understanding and co-operation.

Welcome to Kurrajong Camp located in Mothar Mountain, just 10 minutes south-east of Gympie. We offer two campsites, each giving you exclusive use of the immediate private area. Hybrid camper available for hire. "Kurrajong Meadows" is a large open grassed campground that is flat and spacious, north facing with excellent solar access and a sheltered forest to the southern creek side. A flowing creek is a short stroll from the campsite via a rainforest pathway. The area is perfect for large and small groups or those wishing for their own self-contained space. "Hideaway Camp" is located down a slight incline to privacy. This site is perfect for couples, families and small groups. Creek access is via an embankment and the water is suitable for paddling. Each site has a firepit as camping just isn't camping without a fire. 🔥(Or "bush TV" as we call it!) Firewood is available for purchase. Ask us about our Camper Trailer for hire. Includes setup and pack down, so you can come straight from work or home and get into your relaxing camping break immediately. BYO queen bed linen, pillows and towels. We allow pets 🐕 "off-lead" and offer pet sitting for a small fee per hour. We very happily welcome groups and celebrations and are available to assist where possible. Portaloo hire, 9x3m gazebos, generator, rubbish collection etc. Note: We are a self-contained site - campers must bring their own water and toilet facility. There are train lines in the area and campers may hear distance trains at times.

This is by far the best camp I've been to. Its 17kms off the main rd, so has zero traffic noise. And zero phone coverage means the perfect quiet place for a get away. Loads of wildlife and nature/walks to enjoy. Everything is amazingly set up with signposts etc. Toilet & shower are well built, clean & maintained. Its dry season, so there was no running creeks or rivers. So looking forward to visiting durung rainy season.

The Fig Tree campsite was a brilliant place to spend the weekend. We loved cooking on the fire beneath the massive fig tree. Plenty of friendly cattle roaming around and got to see the local wallabies in the morning and evening. A great camp site that we will definitely visit again.

It was great waking up to the sound of nature and, enlven though it was a bit wet the next day, it was still an amazing spot. We'll be back for certain. Thanks again to our hosts 👌

A fantastic place to set up to visit all the surrounding places and only 20 mins from Noosa and Coolum Beach. The Kelly’s have set up the sites beautifully with plenty of space around each site and the whole property is beautiful and well maintained with ponds and birdlife and canoes to utilise. Easy to get to and Steve meets you at the gate to set up. Safe and secure place and a nice surprise with the toilets and hot showers available.
